Basketball tournaments are in the air

Basketball tournaments are normally scheduled to begin in October. Our purpose is not to take risks but to see the truth face to face: As things stand, with the current conditions and situations, it will be a GREAT SURPRISE if all the basketball events start on time. And we mean both international and domestic.

In terms of international basketball competitions, FIBA ​​has conceived the idea of ​​holding a single tournament for the 2020 champion (Final-8) in the BCL but also for the qualifiers for the new season.

The Euroleague is certainly waiting…

The bottom line is that in October more than 100 teams, 18 from the Euroleague, 32 from the BCL, 24 from the Eurocup and 27 from the FIBA ​​EuropeCup, should be able to compete. They travel from country to country and you should take into account that in the 101 groups you put… about 30 different countries.

How exactly will this be done? Or even the referees, how will they travel? Things are very difficult and with the current conditions you can understand that.

In Greece, in addition to health issues, the financial burden is unbearable, especially in the National Categories or the Local ones where the (amateur) teams are called to pay the people the money in tests as they do not have support from the State. How long will they last? Nobody knows…

However, many teams can not stand it and some measures are already expected to be taken (such as the thought of canceling the Cup).

In the Basket League, each team must calculate a respectable amount throughout the season in order to comply with health protocols. As long as the virus does not subside, the risk increases and at the same time the possibility of seeing basketball too late this year is visible…

Postponement and see

However, the Basketball League, even with a delay, will start. The national accusations, as they are at the moment, will hardly start.

The information states that in the first phase, a two-week postponement is being discussed in all leagues. In other words, the Basket League will go for 24/10 and the A2 for 17/10 and the same in the National Categories.

If the State does not help in the matter of tests, then either there will be a padlock or there will be discounts in the matter of health… And this is irresponsible and dangerous.

After all, there is no way in Europe to see a bubble like in the NBA.

Basketball Cup: Heading for cancellation

The first thoughts about the Cup are not to be done at all this year. Imagine that it always started in the middle of September and with the participation of the teams of A2 and B 'Ethniki.

The information states that due to the situation, the institution of the Cup for the new season is most likely to be canceled. Or to be done later (if conditions and time allow) in another form.

A2-B-C: They can not withstand the weight

Do you know how much the test costs? So imagine that a team has to do it every week during its preparation.

Put all the consequences regarding the health protocol and you realize that most of the teams in the National Categories (A2-B 'and C' National) can not bear the financial burden. Especially in the Third National, the situation is very difficult as there are many departures.

BASKET LEAGUE: 60 thousand euros extra

But let's leave the National Categories and let's go to the professional championship. A first study conducted at ESAKE revealed that each group should estimate an additional 60 thousand euros in terms of compliance with health protocols.

This is something that needs to be done as it concerns the health of EVERYONE. But there is no reinforcement from somewhere and most teams CANNOT simply lift that weight.

Κανονικά οι διοργανώσεις του μπάσκετ έχουν προγραμματιστεί ν’ αρχίσουν τον Οκτώβριο. Ο σκοπός μας δεν είναι να κινδυνολογήσουμε αλλά να δούμε την αλήθεια κατάματα: Έτσι όπως έχουν τα πράγματα, με τις υπάρχουσες συνθήκες και καταστάσεις, θα είναι ΠΟΛΥ ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΕΚΠΛΗΞΗ αν αρχίσουν στην ώρα τους όλες οι μπασκετικές διοργανώσεις. Κι εννοούμε τόσο τις διεθνείς, όσο και τις εγχώριες.

Σε ό,τι αφορά στις διεθνείς διοργανώσεις του μπάσκετ, η FIBA συνέλαβε την ιδέα διεξαγωγής ενιαίου τουρνουά για τον πρωταθλητή του 2020 (Final-8) στο BCL αλλά και για τα προκριματικά ενόψει της νέας σεζόν.

Η Euroleague ασφαλώς περιμένει…

Η ουσία είναι ότι τον Οκτώβριο περισσότερες από 100 ομάδες, 18 από Euroleague, 32 από BCL, 24 από Eurocup και 27 από FIBA EuropeCup, θα πρέπει να μπορούν σε αγωνιστικό ρυθμό. Να ταξιδεύουν από χώρα σε χώρα και θα πρέπει να συνυπολογίσετε ότι στις 101 ομάδες βάλτε και… περίπου 30 διαφορετικές χώρες.

Πως ακριβώς θα γίνει αυτό; Ή ακόμα και οι διαιτητές, πως θα ταξιδεύουν; Τα πράγματα είναι πολύ δύσκολα και με τις υπάρχουσες συνθήκες μπορείτε να το καταλάβετε αυτό.

Στην Ελλάδα, πέρα από τα θέματα υγείας, το οικονομικό βάρος είναι δυσβάσταχτο ειδικά στις Εθνικές Κατηγορίες ή τα Τοπικά όπου οι (ερασιτεχνικές) ομάδες καλούνται να πληρώνουν του κόσμου τα χρήματα σε τεστ καθώς δεν έχουν υποστήριξη από την Πολιτεία. Πόσο θα αντέξουν; Κανείς δεν ξέρει…

Πολλές ομάδες δεν αντέχουν πάντως ενώ ήδη αναμένεται να ληφθούν και κάποια μέτρα (όπως πχ η σκέψη ματαίωσης του Κυπέλλου).

Στην Basket League κάθε ομάδα θα πρέπει να υπολογίσει ένα σεβαστό ποσό όλη τη σεζόν προκειμένου να τηρηθούν τα υγειονομικά πρωτόκολλα. Όσο ο ιός δεν υποχωρεί, τόσο ο κίνδυνος αυξάνεται και μαζί είναι ορατό το ενδεχόμενο να αργήσουμε πολύ να δούμε μπάσκετ φέτος…

Αναβολή και βλέπουμε

Πάντως η Basket League έστω και με καθυστέρηση, θ’ αρχίσει. Οι εθνικές κατηγορίες έτσι όπως είναι η κατάσταση αυτή τη στιγμή, δύσκολα θ’ αρχίσουν.

Οι πληροφορίες αναφέρουν ότι σε πρώτη φάση συζητείται για αναβολή δύο εβδομάδων σε όλα τα πρωταθλήματα. Η Basket League δηλαδή, θα πάει για 24/10 και η Α2 για 17/10 και το ίδιο και στις Εθνικές Κατηγορίες.

Αν δεν βοηθήσει η Πολιτεία στο θέμα των τεστ, τότε είτε θα μπει λουκέτο είτε θα υπάρξουν εκπτώσεις στο θέμα υγείας… Κι αυτό είναι ανεύθυνο κι επικίνδυνο.

Άλλωστε δεν υπάρχει περίπτωση στην Ευρώπη να δούμε… φούσκα όπως στο ΝΒΑ.

Κύπελλο μπάσκετ: Οδεύει προς ματαίωση

Οι πρώτες σκέψεις σχετικά με το Κύπελλο είναι να μη γίνει καθόλου φέτος. Φανταστείτε ότι άρχιζε πάντα στα μέσα του Σεπτεμβρίου και με τη συμμετοχή των ομάδων της Α2 και της Β’ Εθνικής.

Οι πληροφορίες αναφέρουν ότι λόγω της κατάστασης το πιθανότερο είναι να ματαιωθεί ο θεσμός του Κυπέλλου για τη νέα περίοδο. Ή να γίνει αργότερα (εφόσον το επιτρέψουν οι συνθήκες και ο χρόνος) υπό άλλη μορφή.

Α2-Β-Γ: Δεν αντέχουν το βάρος

Ξέρετε πόσο κοστίζει το τεστ; Φανταστείτε λοιπόν να πρέπει να το κάνει κάθε εβδομάδα μια ομάδα στη διάρκεια της προετοιμασίας της.

Βάλτε και όλα τα επακόλουθα σχετικά με το υγειονομικό πρωτόκολλο κι αντιλαμβάνεστε ότι οι περισσότερες ομάδες στις Εθνικές Κατηγορίες (Α2- Β’ και Γ’ Εθνική) δεν αντέχουν το οικονομικό βάρος. Ειδικά στην Γ’ Εθνική η κατάσταση είναι πολύ δύσκολη καθώς υπάρχουν πολλές αποχωρήσεις.

BASKET LEAGUE: 60 χιλιάδες ευρώ επιπλέον

Ας αφήσουμε όμως τις Εθνικές Κατηγορίες κι ας πάμε στο επαγγελματικό πρωτάθλημα. Μια πρώτη μελέτη που έγινε στον ΕΣΑΚΕ αποκάλυψε ότι κάθε ομάδα θα πρέπει να υπολογίζει επιπλέον 60 χιλιάδες ευρώ σε ό,τι αφορά στην τήρηση των υγειονομικών πρωτοκόλλων.

Αυτό είναι κάτι που πρέπει να γίνει καθώς αφορά την υγεία ΟΛΩΝ. Όμως δεν υπάρχει ενίσχυση από κάπου και οι περισσότερες ομάδες ΔΕΝ ΜΠΟΡΟΥΝ απλά να σηκώσουν αυτό το βάρος.
