Εντάξει δεν μπορούσε να γίνει και διαφορετικά. Αρκετοί άνθρωποι έσπευσαν να κλείσουν θέση, για να δουν από κοντά τις προσπάθειες των κατά τεκμήριο τεσσάρων καλύτερων ομάδων της Ευρώπης στο F4, όμως φάιναλ φορ δεν θα γίνει κι ως εκ τούτου έπρεπε να πάρουν τα χρήματά τους πίσω.
Ο Τζόρντι Μπερτομέου το προανήγγειλε, η αρμόδια επιτροπή το ανακοίνωσε κι όσοι ήταν… προνοητικοί δεν θα «τιμωρηθούν». Βλέπετε, η Ευρωλίγκα δεν μπορεί παρά να είναι αξιόπιστη κι η… ζημιά από την πανδημία δεν μπορεί να μοιραστεί με τους φιλάθλους. Άλλωστε, το εισιτήριο για το φάιναλ φορ δεν είναι… φτηνή υπόθεση κι η λίγκα δεν θέλει να χάσει κάποιους από τους καλύτερους πελάτες της, καθώς υπάρχουν ορισμένοι που θεωρούν ως must το φάιναλ φορ και δεν το χάνουν για κανέναν λόγο.
Ακόμα κι αν γίνει εντέλει το φάιναλ φορ, ίσως όχι στην Κολωνία, σίγουρα όχι στις προβλεπόμενες ημερομηνίες, θα γίνει δίχως κόσμο στις εξέδρες, οπότε δεν θα μπορούσε να κάνει τίποτ’ άλλο η Ευρωλίγκα, από το να επιστρέψει τα χρήματα στους δικαιούχους.
