Ψυχάρα Πρίντεζη! Αν και είχε 0/2 βολές στο τέλος και το ματς πήγε στην παράταση (72-72 κ.α.), ο υπαρχηγός μίλησε στο έξτρα 5λεπτο για τον Ολυμπιακό, ο οποίος νίκησε 92-83 τη Ρεάλ και παραμένει κορυφή! 

Από μοιραίος έγινε πολύ… ωραίος ο Πρίντεζης! 

Ο υπαρχηγός του Ολυμπιακού έκανε 0/2 βολές στη λήξη της κανονικής περιόδου, με το παιχνίδι να οδηγείται στην παράταση (72-72 κ.α.), αλλά στα δύσκολα του έξτρα πεντάλεπτου βροντοφώναξε «παρών» και έσπρωξε τους «ερυθρόλευκους» στη νίκη (92-83) επί της Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης, παραμένοντας έτσι στην κορυφή μαζί με την ΤΣΣΚΑ Μόσχας (9-2). 

Ο «Πριντ» ήταν και κορυφαίος για τους Πειραιώτες με 21 πόντους και 7 ριμπάουντ, με τον Στρέλνιεκς να ήταν άξιος συμπαραστάτης του με 15 πόντους, τον Παπανικολάου να είχε 14 και τους ΜακΛίν και Μιλουτίνοφ με 12 ο καθένας. Στο πρώτο του παιχνίδι στη φετινή Ευρωλίγκα, ο Σπανούλης είχε 7 πόντους και 4 ασίστ. 

Από τη «βασίλισσα», ο Ντόντσιτς ήταν «μαγικός» με 33 πόντους, τον Κάρολ να προσθέτει άλλους 24 ερχόμενος από τον πάγκο και τον Τόμπκινς να είχε 6 πόντους και 10 ριμπάουντ. 

Το ματς

Με τους Μιλουτίνοφ, Πρίντεζη, Παπανικολάου, Σπανούλη και Ρόμπερτς ξεκίνησε ο Ολυμπιακός την αναμέτρηση. Πολλή άμυνα και πολύ αργός ήταν ο ρυθμός του παιχνιδιού στην αρχή του, με το σκορ να μένει χαμηλά (4-6), στα πρώτα τέσσερα λεπτά. Ωστόσο, από εκείνο το σημείο και έπειτα, ακολούθησε μία… καταιγίδα από τους «ερυθρόλευκους». Οι παίκτες του Γιάννη Σφαιρόπουλου έσφιξαν την άμυνά τους (με τον Παπανικολάου να «σβήνει» τον Ντόντσιτς), είχαν τον απόλυτο έλεγχο των ριμπάουντ και με τον αρχηγό τους να ήταν σε εξαιρετική κατάσταση, με δημιουργία και σκορ, έτρεξαν ένα 14-0(!), που τους έστειλε στο +12 (18-6). Η μόνη αντίδραση από τη «βασίλισσα» στον εναπομείναντα χρόνο της πρώτης περιόδου ήταν ένα καλάθι με τον Ρέγες, ύστερα από δικό του επιθετικό ριμπάουντ, με το οποίο διαμορφώθηκε το 18-8. 

Στο ξεκίνημα του δευτέρου δεκαλέπτου, ο Στρέλνιεκς έστειλε ξανά τον Ολυμπιακό στο +12 (20-18), αλλά τα συνεχόμενα λάθη -από Τόμπσον και ΜακΛίν- και ο «ζεστός» Κάρολ έφεραν τη Ρεάλ στο -6 (21-15). Ωστόσο, για άλλη μία φορά, οι παίκτες του Σφαιρόπουλου βρήκαν λύσεις από την άμυνα και με τον Λετονό να συνεχίζει ορεξάτος πήγαν εκ νέου στο +12 (27-15), στα μισά. Οι Πειραιώτες διατηρούνταν εκεί μέχρι και το 29-17, με τον Ντόντσιτς να το παίρνει… πάνω του στη συνέχεια και να μειώνει (29-22), στα 2:30’’ πριν το τέλος του ημιχρόνου. Έκτοτε, το παιχνίδι έγινε πολύ κλειστό με αρκετά φάουλ, αλλά τους «ερυθρόλευκους» να εκμεταλλεύονται σωστά το μπόνους των βολών και να διατηρούνταν σε μία απόσταση ασφαλείας (33-24). Ωστόσο, ό,τι έχτισε με κόπο, το… γκρέμισε στα τελευταία 38’’ ο Ολυμπιακός, καθώς σε αυτό το διάστημα πέτυχε μόλις μία βολή με τον Παπανικολάου, επιτρέποντας στους Ντόντσιτς και Κάρολ να πετύχουν έξι και να διαμορφώσουν το 34-30 του ημιχρόνου. 

Με το «καλημέρα» του δευτέρου ημιχρόνου, ο Ντόντσιτς με τρίποντο μείωσε στον πόντο (34-33), για να ακολουθήσει μία ανταλλαγή καλαθιών μέσα από τις… αφύλακτες ρακέτες (40-37), από Μιλουτίνοφ και Ταβάρες στο πρώτο τρίλεπτο. Ο Παπανικολάου με τρίποντο στα μισά «ξεκόλλησε» τους Πειραιώτες (43-39) και με τους Πρίντεζη και ΜακΛίν να κάνουν «πάρτι» στο «ζωγραφιστό», η διαφορά ξέφυγε ξανά στο +12 (72-50), στα δύο λεπτά πριν το τέλος της τρίτης περιόδου. Η αντίδραση της «βασίλισσας» με τον Κάρολ, ο οποίος με ένα δικό του 5-0 μείωσε (72-55), για να απαντήσουν οι Τόμπσον και ΜακΛίν (76-55) και τον Ντόντσιτς να διαμορφώνει στην τελευταία επίθεση του τρίτου δεκαλέπτου το 56-47.

Εκεί, ήταν η σειρά του Πρίντεζη να «μιλήσει», καθώς «καθαρίζοντας» όλα τα ριμπάουντ (αμυντικά και επιθετικά), αλλά και με δικά του καλάθια, πήγε τους «ερυθρόλευκους» στο +5 (72-67), στο ένα λεπτό πριν τη λήξη. Όμως, ένα λέι απ του Ντόντσιτς και ένα τρίποντο του Κάρολ –ύστερα από άλλο ένα χαμένο αμυντικό ριμπάουντ- έφεραν το ματς στην ισοπαλία (72-72), στα 12,3’’. Στα 4’’ πριν τη λήξη, ο Πρίντεζης είχε 0/2 από τη γραμμή και έτσι το παιχνίδι οδηγήθηκε στην παράταση. 


Ο Στρέλνιεκς προσπαθούσε μόνος του να κρατήσει τον Ολυμπιακό, αλλά η κακή άμυνα έδωσε το δικαίωμα στη Ρεάλ να ήταν μπροστά (77-79). Αλλά, στη συνέχεια ήταν η σειρά του Πρίντζη να «μιλήσει» και με ένα δικό του 7-0, οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» πήραν ξανά το προβάδισμα (84-79), στο 1:50’’ πριν τη λήξη. Στην επόμενη επίθεση, ο Ρέγες έκανε επιθετικό φάουλ στον Στρέλνιεκς, με τον πάγκο να δέχεται τεχνική ποινή και τον Ολυμπιακός να κερδίζει άλλο ένα 3-0, που τον έστειλε στο +8 (87-79), στα 40’’ πριν τη λήξη. Από εκείνο το σημείο και έπειτα, οι παίκτες του Σφαιρόπουλου έκαναν σωστή διαχείριση και έφτασαν στη νίκη με το τελικό 92-83.
