Despite the great effort they made, PAOK did not succeed against Bran, they were defeated 3-2 and were eliminated from the continuation of the Champions League. The "black and white" continue in the "32" of the Europa Cup.

It was a dream and it is gone but the journey continues. This could have been the title for the match between PAOK and Bran. The doubles were defeated by the Norwegians 3-2 and were eliminated from the continuation of the Womens Champions League and specifically the Play Offs, but they will continue their European journey as they will compete in the "32" of the Europa Cup. The draw for these matches will be made on September 4 and the games on September 23 and 30

But let's take things from the beginning and the first half. A half in which, as expected, Bran was in control, but PAOK stood on an equal footing against the great Norwegian team. The doubles closed well behind and tried to counterattack with the final 1-1 being unfair to them as they had the biggest chance outside of the goal.

Excellent Argyriou's place for 0-1

From the first minute of the match, the home team typically took control and tried to press, but the ones who smiled were the guests. PAOK opened the scoring in the 11th minute with Argyriou coming out on top behind the defense and with an ideal placement she scored for 0-1.

They held on comfortably until the only mistake

From that point on, PAOK held back extremely well and did not let Bran threaten, however, a single mistake was enough for the Norwegians to make it 1-1. After a cross and negligence by the "black and whites", Sommers from one meter in front of an empty goal had no problem making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. A score that remained until the end as in the 41st minute Argyriou found herself in a one-on-one position again but was beaten by Bran's goalkeeper.

Zomers alone again for Bran's 2-1

The second half started in the worst way for PAOK, as Bran managed to score and make the upset. Specifically in the 53rd minute and after a free kick Zomers was again undisturbed in a shooting position and had no problem scoring and putting her team ahead.

A mess at the end with two goals in injury time

Where everything indicated that the match would end 2-1 for Bran in the minutes of injury time, the suspense peaked. Initially, the Norwegians with Leotola in the 90+6' made it 3-1 and seemed to be ending the game, but with the cross PAOK won a penalty and Mitkou reduced it to 3-2.

A score that remained until the end with Bran qualifying for the Womens Champions League Play Offs and PAOK continuing in the “32” of the Europa Cup. The doubles tried even harder against a very strong opponent and are holding the journey until this phase.

Παρά την μεγάλη προσπάθεια που κατέβαλε, ο ΠΑΟΚ δεν τα κατάφερε κόντρα στην Μπραν, ηττήθηκε με 3-2 και αποκλείστηκε από την συνέχεια του Champions League. Στους «32» του Europa Cup συνεχίζουν οι «ασπρόμαυρες».

Όνειρο ήταν και πάει αλλά το ταξίδι συνεχίζεται. Αυτός θα μπορούσε να ήταν ο τίτλος για το ματς του ΠΑΟΚ με την Μπραν. Οι νταμπλούχες ηττήθηκαν από τις Νορβηγίδες με 3-2 και αποκλείστηκαν από την συνέχεια του Womens Champions League και συγκεκριμένα τα Play Offs, αλλά θα συνεχίσουν το Ευρωπαϊκό τους ταξίδι καθώς θα αγωνιστούν στους «32» του Europa Cup. Η κλήρωση για τα ματς αυτά θα γίνει στις 4 Σεπτεμβρίου και τα παιχνίδια 23 και 30 Σεπτεμβρίου

Τον έλεγχο η Μπραν, με τον ΠΑΟΚ να στέκεται καλύτερα

Ας πάρουμε όμως τα πράγματα από την αρχή και το πρώτο ημίχρονο. Ένα ημίχρονο στο οποίο όπως αναμενόταν τον έλεγχο τον είχε η Μπραν, αλλά ο ΠΑΟΚ στάθηκε και με το παραπάνω ισάξια απέναντι στην μεγάλη ομάδα της Νορβηγίας. Οι νταμπλούχες έκλεισαν ωραία πίσω και προσπάθησαν να βγουν στην κόντρα με το τελικό 1-1 να λέγαμε πως τις αδικεί καθώς είχαν και την μεγαλύτερη ευκαιρία εκτός του γκολ.

Εξαιρετικό πλασέ Αργυρίου για το 0-1

Από το πρώτο λεπτό του αγώνα οι τυπικά γηπεδούχες πήραν τον έλεγχο και προσπάθησαν να πιέσουν, αλλά αυτές που χαμογέλασαν ήταν οι φιλοξενούμενες. Ο ΠΑΟΚ στο 11'άνοιξε το σκορ με την Αργυρίου να βγαίνει εξαιρετικά στην πλάτη της άμυνας και με ιδανικό πλασέ σκόραρε για το 0-1.

Κράτησαν άνετα μέχρι το μοναδικό λάθος

Από εκείνο το σημείο ο ΠΑΟΚ κρατούσε εξαιρετικά πίσω και δε άφηνε την Μπραν να απειλήσει ωστόσο ένα μόνο λάθος έφτανε για να κάνουν το 1-1 οι Νορβηγίδες. Μετά από σέντρα και ολιγωρία των «ασπρόμαυρων» η Ζόμερς από το ένα μέτρο προ κενής εστίας δεν είχε πρόβλημα να κάνει στο 23' το 1-1. Ένα σκορ που έμεινε ως το τέλος καθώς στο 41' η Αργυρίου βρέθηκε και πάλι σε θέση τετ α τετ αλλά την νίκησε η τερματοφύλακας της Μπραν.

Το δεύτερο ημίχρονο ξεκίνησε με τον χειρότερο τρόπο για τον ΠΑΟΚ, καθώς η Μπραν κατάφερε να σκοράρει και να κάνει την ανατροπή. Συγκεκριμένα στο 53' και μετά από εκτέλεση φάουλ η Ζόμερς βρέθηκε και πάλι ανενόχλητη σε θέση βολής και δεν είχε κανένα πρόβλημα να σκοράρει και να βάλει μπροστά την ομάδα της.

Χαμός στο τέλος με δύο γκολ στις καθυστερήσεις

Εκεί που όλα έδειχναν πως το ματς θα τελείωνε με 2-1 για την Μπραν στα λεπτά των καθυστερήσεων η αγωνία κορυφώθηκε. Αρχικά οι Νορβηγίδες με την Λεότολα στο 90+6' έκαναν το 3-1 και έδειξαν να τελειώνουν το παιχνίδι, αλλά με την σέντρα ο ΠΑΟΚ κέρδισε πέναλτι και η Μήτκου μείωσε σε 3-2.

Ένα σκορ που έμεινε ως το τέλος με την Μπραν να παίρνει την πρόκριση για τα Play Offs του Womens Champions League και τον ΠΑΟΚ να συνεχίζει στους «32» του Europa Cup. Οι νταμπλούχες προσπάθησαν και με το παραπάνω απέναντι σε έναν πολύ δυνατό αντίπαλο και κρατάνε το ταξίδι μέχρι αυτή την φάση.
