Official: Mokoka signs two-year deal with Aris

Adam Mokoka has become an Aris player with a bang, signing a two-year contract.

The 28-year-old French guard/forward (1.96m) was named MVP of the EuroCup finals with French side Bourg, leading them to the title. Against Besiktas, he made amazing appearances with 14 points and 9 rebounds in the first match and a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the second, with the French team winning the trophy.

Mokoka, who has been “locked out” since the end of May, has rich athletic qualities, generates a lot of energy on both sides of the floor and is destined to be one of Vassilis Spanoulis’ main “weapons” on the perimeter, covering the “2” and “3” positions.

Overall, last season in the EuroCup he had 12.3 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 27.5 minutes of participation on average. His numbers in the French league were similar with 11.8 points and 41.5% on three-pointers, 4.4 rebounds and 2 assists in 23.1 minutes of participation per game in the regular season.

"KAE ARIS announces the acquisition of Adam Mokoka, who signed a contract until 2028.

Adam Mokoka was born on July 18, 1998 and with a height of 1.96m. he plays in the positions of shooting guard and small forward.

The French international athlete began his basketball career at Gravelines, with which he won two U21 championships, in 2014 and 2015. He played professionally for the French team for three seasons (2015-18).

In the summer of 2018, he signed with the Serbian Mega Basket, with which he averaged 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

In 2019, he made the jump to the NBA by agreeing with the Chicago Bulls, with whom he had 2.9 points, while he averaged 10.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in their affiliate, the Windy City Bulls. He split the 2020-21 season with the Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and the latter's affiliate, Austin Spurs.

In the 2021-22 season, he returned to Europe for the French Nanterre, with whom he averaged 11.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He spent most of the 2022-23 season with the Oklahoma City Thunder's affiliate, Oklahoma City Blue, with 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists, while he finished the season with Italian Umana Venezia.

In 2023, he agreed with U-BT Cluj-Napoca. He stayed with the Romanian team for two seasons, helping it win as many domestic titles, a Cup and reach the BKT EuroCup quarterfinals twice. In the first year, in 52 games, he averaged 9.3 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game and in the second, in 55 games, he averaged 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1 steal.

In 2025, he returned to his homeland for JL Bourg. With the French team, he had an excellent season, leading it to win the BKT EuroCup and winning the title of MVP of the finals with Besiktas. In fact, he was the one who scored the winning basket in the second and last final. With JL Bourg, in 54 games, he averaged 12.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1 steal.

Ο Άνταμ Μοκόκα έγινε και με τη… βούλα παίκτης του Άρη, υπογράφοντας διετές συμβόλαιο.

 Ο 28χρονος Γάλλος γκαρντ/φόργουορντ (1.96μ.), αναδείχθηκε MVP των τελικών του EuroCup με τη γαλλική Μπουργκ, οδηγώντας την στον τίτλο. Απέναντι στην Μπεσίκτας έκανε εκπληκτικές εμφανίσεις με 14 πόντους και 9 ριμπάουντ στην πρώτη αναμέτρηση και double-double με 17 πόντους και 10 ριμπάουντ στη δεύτερη, με τη γαλλική ομάδα να κατακτάει το τρόπαιο.

Ο Μοκόκα, ο οποίος ήταν «κλεισμένος» από τα τέλη Μαΐου, διαθέτει πλούσια αθλητικά προσόντα, βγάζει πολλή ενέργεια και στις δύο μεριές του παρκέ και προορίζεται να είναι εκ των βασικών «όπλων» του Βασίλη Σπανούλη στην περιφέρεια, καλύπτοντας τις θέσεις «2» και «3».

Συνολικά στην περασμένη σεζόν στο EuroCup είχε 12.3 πόντους, 5 ριμπάουντ, 2.5 ασίστ και 1,1 κλεψίματα σε 27.5 λεπτά συμμετοχής κατά μέσο όρο. Ανάλογα ήταν τα νούμερα του στη γαλλική λίγκα με 11,8 πόντους και 41.5% στα τρίποντα, 4,4 ριμπάουντ και 2 ασίστ σε 23.1 λεπτά συμμετοχής ανά παιχνίδι στην κανονική περίοδο.

«Η ΚΑΕ ΑΡΗΣ ανακοινώνει την απόκτηση του Adam Mokoka, ο οποίος υπέγραψε συμβόλαιο συνεργασίας έως το 2028. 

Ο Adam Mokoka γεννήθηκε στις 18 Ιουλίου του 1998 και με ύψος 1.96μ. αγωνίζεται στις θέσεις του shooting guard και του small forward. 

Ο διεθνής Γάλλος αθλητής ξεκίνησε την μπασκετική σταδιοδρομία του στην Gravelines με την οποία κατέκτησε δύο πρωταθλήματα U21, το 2014 και το 2015. Στη γαλλική ομάδα έπαιξε επαγγελματικά για τρεις σεζόν (2015-18).

Το καλοκαίρι του 2018 υπέγραψε στη σερβική Mega Basket με την οποία μέτρησε 11.1 πόντους, 3.7 ριμπάουντ, 3.7 ασίστ και 1.3 κλεψίματα ανά αγώνα. 

Το 2019 έκανε το άλμα για το ΝΒΑ συμφωνώντας με τους Chicago Bulls, με τους οποίους είχε 2.9 πόντους, ενώ μέτρησε 10.9 πόντους, 5.7 ριμπάουντ και 3.3 ασίστ στη θυγατρική τους, Windy City Bulls. Μοιράστηκε τη σεζόν 2020-21 σε Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs και τη θυγατρική των τελευταίων, Austin Spurs. 

Τη σεζόν 2021-22 επέστρεψε στην Ευρώπη για λογαριασμό της γαλλικής Nanterre με την οποία μέτρησε 11.3 πόντους, 3.2 ριμπάουντ και 1.8 ασίστ. Στη ρουμανική ομάδα έμεινε για δυο σεζόν, βοηθώντας την να κατακτήσει ισάριθμους εγχώριους τίτλους, ένα Κύπελλο και να φτάσει δύο φορές στα προημιτελικά του BKT EuroCup. Στην πρώτη χρονιά, σε 52 αγώνες, μέτρησε 9.3 πόντους, 3 ριμπάουντ και 2 ασίστ ανά αγώνα και στη δεύτερη, σε 55 ματς, είχε 11.1 πόντους, 2.9 ριμπάουντ, 2.9 ασίστ και 1 κλέψιμο κατά μέσο όρο.
