Μπαρτζώκας ενόψει του Game 2 με την Ρεάλ: “Εχθρός ο εφησυχασμός, θα αποφασίσουμε αύριο για την 12αδα”

Bartzokas ahead of Game 2 with Real: “Complacency is the enemy, we will decide tomorrow on the 12th”

Yorgos Bartzokas stressed that he expects a reaction from Real in Game 2 of the playoffs, adding that Olympiacos must show the same seriousness that it showed in Game 1 in order to win, while clarifying that it has not yet decided on the 12th for tomorrow’s (25/4) match.

Olympiacos immediately began its preparation for Game 2 against Real Madrid for the EuroLeague playoffs (25/4, 21:30) with the series at 1-0, with Giorgos Bartzokas emphasizing that the biggest risk right now for Olympiacos is to become complacent after its victory in Game 1, adding that he expects the Madrid team to react, while he did not open his cards for the 12th in view of tomorrow's match.

Giorgos Bartzokas stated in detail:

On how much better he expects Real Madrid to be in Game 2: “Much better. They have talent anyway. They can shoot better. They will play with ego, maybe with less “should”. The enemy is complacency, mental rest. That’s what you pay for in the 2nd match, as happened in previous years against Olympiacos.

I don’t have much to tell you. We spoke last night too. A few hours have passed. Our approach is the same. The opponent is very strong. After the good first half that we did defensively – because offensively we weren’t that good – and we secured a 10-15 point difference, we lost the next two quarters. This is logical because Real Madrid would come in strong. This is a very difficult game that is coming and I’m not saying this to draw attention to the players and the crowd. On Real's bench, which didn't offer much in Game 1, and whether Olympiacos generally has the upper hand in terms of talent: "Real's bench has a lot of quality, I believe so. If you see who came off the bench, you'll understand. It's a game (yesterday's) that belongs to the past. I don't think we have the upper hand in terms of talent or class compared to Real, maybe that's true with other teams, while Real also has experience. It's a core of players who have played together for many years and have been through these phases."

On whether he expects something different from Real in Game 2 and whether he learned anything from Game 1: “You always learn from every game. If you have your eyes and ears open, you have to draw some conclusions.

However, because there is a large sample of matches and Real has played 60 games, like us, it is not easy to see new things. Many times, you see up close a feeling of how solid a team is. Real is coming off a good season with consecutive victories. In general, I have no intention of changing anything in what I think. Ο Γιώργος Μπαρτζώκας τόνισε ότι περιμένει αντίδραση από την Ρεάλ στο Game 2 των playoffs, προσθέτοντας ότι ο Ολυμπιακός πρέπει να δείξει την ίδια σοβαρότητα που έδειξε στο Game 1 για να νικήσει, ενώ ξεκαθάρισε ότι δεν έχει καταλήξει ακόμα στην 12αδα για το αυριανό (25/4) ματς.

Ο Ολυμπιακός ξεκίνησε άμεσα την προετοιμασία του για το Game 2 με την Ρεάλ για τα playoffs της EuroLeague (25/4, 21:30) με την σειρά στο 1-0, με τον Γιώργο Μπαρτζώκα να τονίζει ότι ο μεγαλύτερος κίνδυνος αυτή την στιγμή για τον Ολυμπιακό είναι να εφησυχάσει μετά την νίκη του στο Game 1, προσθέτοντας ότι περιμένει ότι οι Μαδριλένοι θα αντιδράσουν, ενώ δεν άνοιξε τα χαρτιά του για την 12αδα ενόψει του αυριανού ματς.

Αναλυτικά ο Γιώργος Μπαρτζώκας δήλωσε:

Για το πόσο καλύτερη περιμένει να είναι η Ρεάλ στο Game 2: “Πολύ καλύτερη. Ούτως η άλλως έχει ταλέντο. Μπορεί να σουτάρει καλύτερα. Θα παίξει με εγωισμό, ίσως και με λιγότερο “πρέπει”. Ο εχθρός είναι ο εφησυχασμός, η πνευματική ανάπαυση. Αυτό πληρώνεις στο 2ο ματς, όπως έγινε τα προηγούμενα χρόνια στον Ολυμπιακό.

Δεν έχω πολλά να σας πω. Μιλήσαμε και χθες το βράδυ. Έχουν μεσολαβήσει λίγες ώρες. Η προσέγγισή μας είναι ίδια. Ο αντίπαλος είναι πολύ ισχυρός. Μετά το καλό ημίχρονο πρώτο που κάναμε αμυντικά – γιατί επιθετικά δεν ήμασταν το ίδιο καλοί – και εξασφαλίσαμε διαφορά 10-15 πόντων, χάσαμε τα επόμενα δύο δεκάλεπτα. Αυτό είναι λογικό επειδή στην Ρεάλ θα έμπαιναν δυνατά. Είναι πολύ δύσκολο παιχνίδι αυτό που έρχεται και δεν το λέω για να επιστήσω την προσοχή σε παίκτες και κόσμο. Αν το πάρουμε θα είναι σημαντικό και πρέπει να παίξουμε με το ίδιο κίνητρο που είχαμε στο πρώτο ματς”. 

Για το αν περιμένει πιο δύσκολο παιχνίδι: “Θα αποδειχθεί αυτό. Τώρα θα έχουμε μία συνάντηση με τους παίκτες. Είναι λίγα πράγματα που μπορούμε να κάνουμε, αλλά κυρίως πνευματικά. Το κοινό μας μην περιμένει τίποτα εύκολο. Να μπούμε σαν να είναι 0-0 και να παλέψουμε κάθε κατοχή”. 

Για το αν σκοπεύει να κάνει αλλαγές στην 12αδα ενόψει του Game 2: “Πολλές φορές πρέπει να δώσεις ευκαιρίες και σε παίκτες που αξίζουν και δεν είχαν. Την 12αδα θα την αποφασίσουμε μετά την αυριανή προπόνηση. Δεν το έχω καν σκέψη στο μυαλό μου.

Η ζωή ανατρέπει πάντα αυτά που προγραμματίζεις να κάνεις και θα περιμένουμε το αύριο. Μπορεί κάποιος να έχει πρόβλημα της τελευταίας στιγμής, θα δούμε. Πάντως θα γίνουν λίγες αλλαγές ή καθόλου, ίσως είναι 1/12 ή 2/12, αν είναι να γίνει κάποια αλλαγή. Μικρά προβλήματα υπάρχουν πάντα, αλλά όχι κάτι ικανό να αφήσει κάποιον έξω”. 

Για τον πάγκο της Ρεάλ που δεν πρόσφερε στο Game 1 πολλά και το αν ο Ολυμπιακός υπερτερεί γενικά σε ταλέντο: “Έχει πολλή ποιότητα και ο πάγκος της Ρεάλ, το πιστεύω,. Αν δείτε ποιοι ήρθαν από τον πάγκο θα το καταλάβετε.Είναι ένα παιχνίδι (σ.σ το χθεσινό) που ανήκει στο παρελθόν. Δεν νομίζω ότι υπερτερούμε σε ταλέντο ή κλάση από την Ρεάλ, ίσως αυτό να ισχύει με άλλες ομάδες, ενώ η Ρεάλ έχει και εμπειρία. Είναι ένας κορμός παικτών που παίζουν πολλά χρόνια μαζί και έχουν βρεθεί σε αυτές τις φάσεις”. 

Για το αν περιμένει κάτι διαφορετικό από την Ρεάλ στο Game 2 και αν διδάχθηκε κάτι από το Game 1: “Πάντα διδάσκεσαι από κάθε παιχνίδι. Αν έχεις ανοιχτά μάτια και αυτιά, πρέπει να βγάζεις κάποια συμπεράσματα.

Επειδή όμως υπάρχει μεγάλο δείγμα αγώνων και η Ρεάλ έχει παίξει 60 παιχνίδια, όπως και εμείς, δεν είναι εύκολο να δεις καινούρια πράγματα. Πολλές φορές, βλέπεις από κοντά ένα αίσθημα για το πόσο συμπαγής είναι μία ομάδα. Η Ρεάλ προέρχεται από καλή περίοδο με συνεχόμενες νίκες. Γενικά δεν έχω να αλλάξω κάτι σε αυτό που σκέφτομαι. Έχω μεγάλο σεβασμό στην Ρεάλ και θα είναι πολύ δύσκολα αύριο”.
