It took Stefanos Tsitsipas (No. 10) a little more than two hours to defeat Chun Hsin Cheng with 2-1 sets (4-6, 7-5, 6-3) and qualify for the last 32 of the Miami Open.

The top Greek tennis player was slow to get used to the demands of the match, as a result of which he had to chase the comeback against Chu Hsin Cheng (No. 115), which he ultimately achieved in almost two hours.

In the first set, the tennis player from Chinese Taipei surprised Tsitsipas, had two love service games, broke his serve in the seventh game and with 6-4 he put himself in the role of a leader.

The 26-year-old Greek survived in the second set, when he found himself behind in the score with 2-1, “answered” with a break for 2-2, while he also broke for 7-5 and the tie in the sets.

This was also the set that lasted the longest. Specifically, the two tennis players played for 54 minutes.

In the third set, the difference in quality between Tsitsipas and Cheng was evident, with the result that the 6-3 in the games sent the number 10 of the world ranking to the 3rd round of the 1000th ATP tournament.

Κάτι περισσότερο από δύο ώρες χρειάστηκε ο Στέφανος Τσιτσιπάς (Νο10) για να καταβάλει τον Τσουν Χσον Τσενγκ με 2-1 σετ (4-6, 7-5, 6-3) και να προκριθεί στους 32 του Miami Open.

Ο κορυφαίος Έλληνας τενίστας άργησε να μπει στις απαιτήσεις του αγώνα, με αποτέλεσμα να πρέπει να κυνηγήσει την ανατροπή απέναντι στον Τσου Χσιν Τσενγκ (Νο115), την οποία εν τέλει πραγματοποίησε σε σχεδόν δύο ώρες.

Στο πρώτο σετ ο τενίστας από την κινεζική Ταϊπέι αιφνιδίασε τον Τσιτσιπά, είχε δύο love service game, του έσπασε το σερβίς στο έβδομο game και με 6-4 έβαλε τον εαυτό του σε ρόλο οδηγού.

Ο 26χρονος Έλληνας επιβίωσε στο δεύτερο σετ, όταν βρέθηκε πίσω στο σκορ με 2-1, “απάντησε” με break για το 2-2, ενώ break έκανε και για τι 7-5 και την ισοφάριση στα σετ.

Αυτό ήταν και το σετ που διήρκησε περισσότερο. Συγκεκριμένα οι δύο τενίστες έπαιξαν για 54 λεπτά.

Στο τρίτο σετ φάνηκε η διαφορά ποιότητας μεταξύ Τσιτσιπά και Τσενγκ, με αποτέλεσμα το 6-3 στα games να στείλει το νούμερο 10 της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης στον 3ο γύρο του 1000αριού τουρνουά της ATP.
