Maria Sakkari "dissolved" with 6-0, 6-4 the No. 2 in the world Naomi Osaka and qualified for the semifinals of the Miami Open.

In the 2nd set, Naomi Osaka will clear 3 break points for 1-0 and with a break it will reach 2-0! The Japanese will erase another 3 break points to lead 3-0 but the Greek will reduce to 3-1.

The Japanese will close with an ace for 4-1. Sakkari with a break will reduce to 4-3 by taking out ... fires with her backhand!

Maria Sakkari will clear Naomi Osaka's break point and will equalize at 4-4. With a break, Sakkari will go to 5-4 and will close the game at 6-4.

Με φαναστική απόδοση η Μαρία Σάκκαρη απέκλεισε την Ναόμι Οσάκα και είναι στους "4" του Miami Open. 

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη απέκλεισε με 6-0, 6-4 την Ιαπωνέζα κάτοχο 4 τίτλων Grand Slam και θα παίξει στον ημιτελικό με την Αντρεέσκου ή τον Τόρμο. 

Για πρώτη φορά στην καριέρα της κερδίζει το Νο2 κόσμου και αυτή ήταν η 12η top-10 νίκη της. Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη την Δευτέρα (5/3) θα είναι ξανά στο top-20 κόσμου και ξεκίνησε στο Miami Open ως Νο25. 

Η Ελληνίδα σταμάτησε το σερί 23-0 νικών της Ιαπωνέζας η οποία είχε να χάσει από τον Φεβρουάριο του 2020 και στο διάστημα αυτό είχε κερδίσει το US Open και το Australian Open.

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη είχε 22 winners και 5 αβίαστα και η Ναόμι Οσάκα 22-23. Η Ελληνίδα είχε 5/15 μπρέικ πόιντ (1/2) και οι πόντοι ήταν 64-42. 

Ελληνικός θρίαμβος! 

Στο 1ο σετ, η Μαρία Σάκκαρη, θα βρεθεί πίσω με 0-40 στο 1ο γκέιμ αλλά θα το κλείσει με μπρέικ (1-0). Θα σφραγίσει το μπρέικ για το 2-0 και θα έχει 4 μπρέικ πόιντ στο 3ο γκέιμ. 

Η Ναόμι Οσάκα θα σβήσει τα 3 αλλά με την 4η της ευκαιρία η Σάκκαρη θα πετύχει και 2ο μπρέικ για το 3-0. Με love service game θα φτάσει στο 4-0 σε 14'!

Με το 3ο μπρέικ θα πάει στο 5-0 και σε 21' θα κλείσει το σετ με 6-0! 

Στα ημιτελικά η Μαρία! 

Στο 2ο σετ, η Ναόμι Οσάκα θα σβήσει 3 μπρέικ πόιντ για το 1-0 και με μπρέικ θα φτάσει στο 2-0! Η Ιαπωνέζα θα σβήσει άλλα 3 μπρέικ πόιντ για να προηγηθεί με 3-0 αλλά η Ελληνίδα θα μειώσει σε 3-1. 

Η Ιαπωνέζα θα κλείσει με άσο για το 4-1. Η Σάκκαρη με μπρέικ θα μειώσει σε 4-3 βγάζοντας... φωτιές με το μπάκχαντ της! 

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη θα σβήσει μπρέικ πόιντ της Ναόμι Οσάκα και θα ισοφαρίσει σε 4-4. Με μπρεικ θα πάει στο 5-4 η Σάκκαρη και θα κλείσει το παιχνίδι στο 6-4.
