EPO: Decisions of the new administration for the Third National, locally

No final decision has been made on the resumption of the Third National and the future of the local championships.

The meeting of the Executive Committee of the EPO was held today without making a substantial decision for the Third National and the local championships.

With the elections in the Federation so close, on March 27, no binding decision was made.

For the Third National, the suggestion of the Organizing Committee is to continue the championship until the end of the first round, with the current score. At the same time, the play-offs for promotion to professional football will be held in two groups of 5 teams, with single games.

However, this proposal was not discussed, nor the changes that should be made in the announcement of the championship. The only thing that was said is that there will be a suggestion to the Committee of Infectious Diseases, the resumption of the Third National on 4/4.

Regarding the future of the local championships, no decision has been made on whether they will continue and how. In fact, the fact that there will be a merger of Super League 2 and Football League in one category, was considered to be an upgrade by one category of all leagues. And that may mean the decision not to hold local elections this year.

Final decisions for the Third National and the local championships are expected to be taken at the next meeting of the Executive Committee, which after the elections of the Federation, will have a new composition.

Δεν αποφασίστηκε κάτι οριστικό για την επανέναρξη της Γ’ Εθνικής και το μέλλον των τοπικών πρωταθλημάτων.

Χωρίς να ληφθεί ουσιαστική απόφαση για τη Γ’ Εθνική και τα τοπικά πρωταθλήματα διεξήχθη σήμερα η συνεδρίαση της Εκτελεστικής Επιτροπής της ΕΠΟ.

Με τις εκλογές στην Ομοσπονδία να είναι τόσο κοντά, στις 27 Μαρτίου, δεν ελήφθη κάποια δεσμευτική απόφαση.

Για τη Γ’ Εθνική, η εισήγηση της Επιτροπής Διοργανώσεων είναι να συνεχιστεί το πρωτάθλημα ως την ολοκλήρωση του πρώτου γύρου, με την ισχύουσα βαθμολογία. Παράλληλα, οι αγώνες μπαράζ για την άνοδο στο επαγγελματικό ποδόσφαιρο, θα διεξαχθούν σε δύο ομίλους των 5 ομάδων, με μονά παιχνίδια.

Ωστόσο, δεν συζητήθηκε αυτή η πρόταση ούτε οι αλλαγές που πρέπει να γίνουν στην προκήρυξη του πρωταθλήματος. Το μόνο που ειπώθηκε είναι πως θα γίνει εισήγηση στην Επιτροπή Λοιμωξιολόγων, θα επανέναρξη της Γ’ Εθνικής στις 4/4.

Όσον αφορά το μέλλον των τοπικών πρωταθλημάτων, δεν ελήφθη κάποια απόφαση για το αν θα συνεχιστούν και πώς. Μάλιστα, το γεγονός ότι θα υπάρξει η συγχώνευση της Super League 2 και Football League σε μια κατηγορία, θεωρήθηκε πως θα αποτελέσει αναβάθμιση κατά μια κατηγορία όλων των πρωταθλημάτων. Κι αυτό ίσως σημάνει και την απόφαση για μη διεξαγωγή των τοπικών φέτος.

Οριστικές αποφάσεις για τη Γ’ Εθνική και τα τοπικά πρωταθλήματα αναμένεται να ληφθούν στην επόμενη συνεδρίαση της Εκτελεστικής Επιτροπής, η οποία μετά τις εκλογές της Ομοσπονδίας, θα έχει και νέα σύνθεση.
