A comical own goal by the Melbourne goalkeeper in an A-Cup match.
The Melbourne team was a surprise victim, losing 2-0 to Lions FC away from home and being eliminated from the A-Cup in the round of 16, with James Nieuwenhausen being the negative protagonist of the losers.
You see, in the 20th minute and with the match at 0-0, the City goalkeeper failed miserably to control the ball after a defender turned, resulting in it ending up in the back of his goal! Predictably, the blooper went viral, with the 22-year-old goalkeeper attracting attention for all the wrong reasons...
