PAOK defeated Mykonos Betsson in Thessaloniki in the postponed game of the 17th round of the Stoiximan GBL, reaching 12 victories in the season and continuing dynamically on the path to the top four.

PAOK celebrated the victory against Mykonos Betsson with 100-87 in the postponed game of the 17th round of the Stoiximan GBL in Thessaloniki, thus reaching its 12th victory in the competition.

Leading the way for the home team in the attack were Koniaris with 12 points and 5 assists, Moore with 19 points and 7 rebounds, Omoruyi with 17 points and Dimsa with 22 points, contributing decisively to the team's victory.

From the side of Mykonos Betsson, although the team suffered a defeat, Appleby stood out with 17 points and 9 assists, King with 16 points and Hesson with 18 points and 5 rebounds, who tried to keep the team competitive until the end.

The match

The first quarter of the match started with a high tempo and constant changes in the score, with Mykonos Betsson opening the match with a three-pointer by Appleby, who in the next phase added another one, showing early on that he would be the main scorer for his team.

PAOK reacted immediately with Koniaris reducing the deficit with a three-pointer of his own, setting the tone for the home team's attempt to stay close to the score.

A period of about a minute and a half without a score followed, until Persides found the target with a three-pointer, bringing the difference to the basket and restoring the balance.

In the same period, Mykonos Betsson committed three fouls in the first three minutes, while PAOK had only one, a fact that Tyree took advantage of to equalize with 2/2 shots.

Immediately afterwards, the Mykonos team temporarily escaped with a 5-0 run, thanks to another well-aimed three-pointer by Appleby, who in the first five minutes was 3/3 behind from 6.75 m.

However, PAOK responded with its own run, bringing a draw for the second time in the quarter.

The battle continued with Appleby maintaining his form, while the home team found solutions with an indirect three-pointer, a basket and shots to overtake for the first time, closing the first quarter with a buzzer beater three-pointer by Koniaris and a score of 26-18, in a period full of dynamic offensive efforts and continuous reversals.

The second quarter started with the same dynamic rhythm that closed the first, with Koniaris immediately hitting a three-pointer on the first possession, increasing PAOK's lead.

Within the first two minutes, the home team had reached a 14-point lead, showing determination and consistency in attack.

Mykonos Betsson managed to react with Hesson finding the target from behind 6.75 m. after a temporary blackout for the home team, narrowing the gap.

PAOK's dominance in offensive rebounds was a decisive factor in developing the lead, with the home team having collected 8 offensive rebounds within the first 15 minutes, taking advantage of every second opportunity to score.

However, the home team's defense relaxed in the final seconds, allowing Mykonos Betsson to reduce the gap to 4 points (48-44).

The half ended with another three-pointer by Koniaris, confirming his excellent performance, closing the first half with 12 points (4/6 three-pointers).

The third period started at a fast pace and an intense battle for the score for both teams, with Persides hitting an indirect three-pointer for PAOK after a foul by Canady, while Mykonos Betsson responded with a powerful dunk by Briggs after a pass by Hesson, which, however, remained the only score for the visitors in the first three minutes.

Dimsa continued his excellent performance from behind 6.75 m, again increasing the difference to 14 points, with PAOK consistently showing its dominance at crucial points.

King then took advantage of the surprise to temporarily reduce the gap, with Briggs following with another difficult basket, while Canady completed a 6-0 run, bringing Mykonos back in touch with the score.

The three-point battle continued, with Beverley hitting a shot for PAOK after 1’30” without a score, but King immediately responded for the visitors, reducing the gap to 7 points (67-60), before Dimsa brought PAOK back in front with another three-pointer.

With 2’30” remaining, Appleby kept Mykonos close with an indirect three-pointer, while Geromihalos hit another three-pointer, giving the visitors a new boost.

However, PAOK responded immediately to the surprise with a basket by Omoruyi after an assist from Tairi, keeping the tension high and leaving the match open for the final period.

The fourth period began with an impressive performance by Omoruyi, who with a powerful dunk immediately gave PAOK a +10 lead, making it clear that the hosts had no intention of relaxing.

Dimsa continued to hit three-pointers, steadily keeping his team at a safe distance, while Mykonos Betsson tried to respond with two well-aimed three-pointers by Mantzaris, taking advantage of PAOK's somewhat lax defense.

In the final minutes, the home team effectively managed their lead and reached the final 100-87 with Dimsa finishing the game with 22 points, emerging as the main expression of the attack and the great protagonist of the match.

Ο ΠΑΟΚ επικράτησε της Μυκόνου Betsson στη Θεσσαλονίκη στο εξ αναβολής παιχνίδι της 17ης αγωνιστικής της Stoiximan GBL, φτάνοντας τις 12 νίκες στη σεζόν και συνεχίζοντας δυναμικά την πορεία προς την τετράδα.

Ο ΠΑΟΚ πανηγύρισε τη νίκη απέναντι στη Μύκονο Betsson με 100-87 στο εξ αναβολής παιχνίδι της 17ης αγωνιστικής της Stoiximan GBL στη Θεσσαλονίκη, φτάνοντας έτσι τη 12η νίκη του στη διοργάνωση.

Κορυφαίοι για τους γηπεδούχους στην επίθεση ήταν ο Κόνιαρης με 12 πόντους και 5 ασίστ, ο Μουρ με 19 πόντους και 7 ριμπάουντ, ο Ομορούγι με 17 πόντους και ο Ντιμσά με 22 πόντους, συνεισφέροντας καθοριστικά στη νίκη της ομάδας.

Από την πλευρά της Μυκόνου Betsson, παρότι η ομάδα γνώρισε την ήττα, ξεχώρισαν οι Άπλμπι με 17 πόντους και 9 ασίστ, ο Κινγκ με 16 πόντους και ο Χέσον με 18 πόντους και 5 ριμπάουντ, που προσπάθησαν να κρατήσουν την ομάδα ανταγωνιστική μέχρι το τέλος.

Ο αγώνας

Το πρώτο δεκάλεπτο του αγώνα ξεκίνησε με έντονο ρυθμό και συνεχείς εναλλαγές στο σκορ, με τη Μύκονο Betsson να ανοίγει το ματς με τρίποντο του Άπλμπι, ο οποίος στην αμέσως επόμενη φάση πρόσθεσε ακόμα ένα, δείχνοντας από νωρίς ότι θα αποτελούσε τον κύριο εκτελεστή της ομάδας του.

Ο ΠΑΟΚ αντέδρασε άμεσα με τον Κόνιαρη να μειώνει με ένα δικό του τρίποντο, δίνοντας τον πρώτο τόνο στην προσπάθεια των γηπεδούχων να μείνουν κοντά στο σκορ.

Ακολούθησε μία περίοδος περίπου ενάμιση λεπτού χωρίς σκορ, μέχρι που ο Περσίδης βρήκε στόχο με τρίποντο, φέρνοντας τη διαφορά στο καλάθι και επαναφέροντας την ισορροπία.

Στο ίδιο διάστημα, η Μύκονος Betsson υπέπεσε σε τρία φάουλ στα πρώτα τρία λεπτά, ενώ ο ΠΑΟΚ είχε μόλις ένα, γεγονός που εκμεταλλεύτηκε ο Ταϊρί για να ισοφαρίσει με 2/2 βολές.

Αμέσως μετά, η ομάδα της Μυκόνου ξέφυγε προσωρινά με ένα 5-0 σερί, χάρη σε ακόμα ένα εύστοχο τρίποντο του Απλμπι, ο οποίος στα πρώτα πέντε λεπτά είχε 3/3 πίσω από τα 6,75 μ.

Ωστόσο, ο ΠΑΟΚ απάντησε με το δικό του σερί, φέρνοντας για δεύτερη φορά ισοπαλία μέσα στο δεκάλεπτο.

Η μάχη συνεχίστηκε με τον Απλμπι να διατηρεί τη φόρμα του, ενώ οι γηπεδούχοι βρήκαν λύσεις με έμμεσο τρίποντο, καλάθι και βολές για να προσπεράσουν για πρώτη φορά, κλείνοντας το πρώτο δεκάλεπτο με buzzer beater τρίποντο του Κόνιαρη και σκορ 26-18, σε ένα διάστημα γεμάτο δυναμικές επιθετικές προσπάθειες και συνεχείς ανατροπές.

Το δεύτερο δεκάλεπτο ξεκίνησε με τον ίδιο δυναμικό ρυθμό που έκλεισε το πρώτο, με τον Κόνιαρη να ευστοχεί αμέσως σε τρίποντο στην πρώτη κατοχή, αυξάνοντας τη διαφορά του ΠΑΟΚ.

Μέσα στα πρώτα δύο λεπτά, οι γηπεδούχοι είχαν φτάσει σε προβάδισμα 14 πόντων, δείχνοντας αποφασιστικότητα και συνέπεια στην επίθεση.

Η Μύκονος Betsson κατάφερε να αντιδράσει με τον Χέσον να βρίσκει στόχο πίσω από τα 6,75 μ. μετά από ένα προσωρινό μπλακ άουτ των γηπεδούχων, περιορίζοντας τη διαφορά.

Η κυριαρχία του ΠΑΟΚ στα επιθετικά ριμπάουντ αποτέλεσε καθοριστικό παράγοντα για την ανάπτυξη του προβαδίσματος, με τους γηπεδούχους να έχουν συγκεντρώσει 8 επιθετικά ριμπάουντ μέσα στα πρώτα 15 λεπτά, εκμεταλλευόμενοι κάθε δεύτερη ευκαιρία για σκορ.

Ωστόσο, η άμυνα των γηπεδούχων χαλάρωσε στα τελευταία δευτερόλεπτα, δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα στη Μύκονο Betsson να μειώσει τη διαφορά στους 4 πόντους (48-44). 

Το ημίχρονο ολοκληρώθηκε με ακόμα ένα τρίποντο του Κόνιαρη, επιβεβαιώνοντας την εξαιρετική του παρουσία κλείνοντας το Α΄μέρος με 12 πόντους (4/6 τρίποντα).

Η τρίτη περίοδος ξεκίνησε με ταχύ ρυθμό και έντονη μάχη στο σκορ για τις δύο ομάδες, με τον Περσίδη να ευστοχεί σε έμμεσο τρίποντο για τον ΠΑΟΚ μετά από φάουλ του Κάναντι, ενώ η Μύκονος Betsson απάντησε με δυναμικό κάρφωμα του Μπριγκς έπειτα από πάσα του Χέσον, το οποίο όμως παρέμεινε το μόνο σκορ των φιλοξενούμενων στα πρώτα τρία λεπτά.

Ο Ντιμσά συνέχισε την εξαιρετική του παρουσία πίσω από τα 6,75 μ., αυξάνοντας και πάλι τη διαφορά στους 14 πόντους, με τον ΠΑΟΚ να δείχνει σταθερά την κυριαρχία του σε κρίσιμα σημεία.

Στη συνέχεια, ο Κινγκ εκμεταλλεύτηκε τον αιφνιδιασμό για να μειώσει προσωρινά τη διαφορά, με τον Μπριγκς να ακολουθεί με ένα ακόμα δύσκολο καλάθι, ενώ ο Κάναντι ολοκλήρωσε ένα σερί 6-0, φέρνοντας τη Μύκονο και πάλι σε επαφή με το σκορ.

Η μάχη των τριπόντων συνεχίστηκε, με τον Μπέβερλι να ευστοχεί για τον ΠΑΟΚ μετά από 1’30” χωρίς σκορ, αλλά ο Κινγκ απάντησε αμέσως για τους φιλοξενούμενους μειώνοντας τη διαφορά στους 7 πόντους (67-60), πριν ο Ντιμσά ξαναφέρει τον ΠΑΟΚ μπροστά με ακόμα ένα τρίποντο.

Με 2’30” να απομένουν, ο Άπλμπι με έμμεσο τρίποντο κράτησε τη Μύκονο κοντά στο σκορ, ενώ ο Γερομιχαλός ευστόχησε σε ακόμα ένα τρίποντο, δίνοντας νέα ώθηση στους φιλοξενούμενους.

Ο ΠΑΟΚ όμως απάντησε άμεσα στον αιφνιδιασμό με καλάθι του Ομορούγι έπειτα από ασίστ του Ταϊρί, κρατώντας την ένταση ψηλά και αφήνοντας την αναμέτρηση ανοιχτή για την τελική περίοδο.

Η τέταρτη περίοδος ξεκίνησε με εντυπωσιακή εμφάνιση του Ομορούγι, ο οποίος με ένα δυνατό κάρφωμα έδωσε αμέσως στον ΠΑΟΚ προβάδισμα +10, καθιστώντας σαφές ότι οι γηπεδούχοι δεν είχαν καμία διάθεση να χαλαρώσουν.

Ο Ντιμσά συνέχισε να ευστοχεί στα τρίποντα, κρατώντας σταθερά την ομάδα του σε απόσταση ασφαλείας, ενώ η Μύκονος Betsson προσπάθησε να απαντήσει με δύο ευστοχα τρίποντα του Μάντζαρη, εκμεταλλευόμενη την κάπως χαλαρή άμυνα του ΠΑΟΚ.

Στα τελευταία λεπτά, οι γηπεδούχοι διαχειρίστηκαν αποτελεσματικά το προβάδισμά τους και έφτασαν στο τελικό 100-87 με τον Ντίμσα να ολοκληρώνει το παιχνίδι με 22 πόντους, αναδεικνυόμενος ως ο κύριος εκφραστής της επίθεσης και ο μεγάλος πρωταγωνιστής της αναμέτρησης.
