Hapoel Tel Aviv overcame the obligation against Paris (93-82) and entered the trap of the 4th group and the home advantage in the playoffs again.

One of the two debts was erased for Dimitris Itoudis' team, which with one less match - the one against Maccabi - has now reached 19-11 and is chasing Real and Valencia, who have 20-11, for a place in the 4th group and the home advantage in the playoffs.

Paris fell even lower, which is 12-20 and has missed the train of qualification for good, even through the play-in process.

Itoudis' team entered the game sluggishly, but as time passed, it found a rhythm and in the finale, with its quality, it easily reached the victory with 23/35 two-pointers (65.7%) and 21 assists for 12 turnovers and 9 steals making the difference.

The big star for Hapoel Tel Aviv was Antonio Blakeney, who stopped at 24 points (6/10 three-pointers, 5 rebounds), with Eliza Bryant adding another 18 (5/7 two-pointers, 5 assts). Daniel Oturu had 15 (6/7 two-pointers) and Colin Malcolm had 11.

On the Paris side, the top scorer, but also extremely inaccurate (1/6 tr.) was Nadir Ify (5/9 tr., 6 ast.), with Jared Roden adding another 13 (3/7 tr., 4 steals).

Paris's early success and lead

Paris entered the match hotter and took advantage of Hapoel's 2 mistakes in just 1:52 minutes, with Robinson with 2/3 shots in the 2nd minute to make it 2-7. Somewhere there came the established five-man change by Tambellini, with Ify taking the lead and with 4 consecutive points taking the French team to +8 (5-13) in the 4th minute. The visitors had dragged Hapoel to their rhythm, with Bryant taking the initiative and with an assist to Oturu and a three-pointer reducing it to 13-18 in the 6th minute. Paris seemed to be one step ahead and with Stevens in the 7th minute taking the French again to +8 (15-23), with Wainwright and Blakeney responding in the 9th minute for 20-23, but the visitors closing the quarter at 24-30 with Ouattara and having 4/7 three-pointers (57.1%).

Hapoel started to enter the match and almost tied it

Itoudis' second unit at the start of the second period did not work, with Roden and Dokosi in the 13th minute increasing the difference to 9 (26-35) and the Greek coach bringing Misic and Bryant back onto the court. The American immediately got to work and with a shot from a technical penalty on Tabellini and a two-pointer, reduced it to 29-35 in the 14th minute, with Misic in the 15th minute with 2/2 to make it 31-37. However, Paris found a way again and with a three-pointer by Morgan, it went back to 9 (33-42), with Bryant (10pts.) being the only sure solution for Hapoel, with the American reducing it to 38-42 in the 16th minute. The Israelis' run reached 7-0 with Blakeney for 40-42 in the 17th minute, with Itoudis' team setting up the match better as time went on and reaching the point in the 19th minute on 2/2 shots by Misic (7pts). However, Paris, thanks to Ifi, who already had 10 points and 6 assists, went to the locker room ahead 52-53.

Itoudis' team put water in the gutter

Paris' first problem in the match came just 61" into the third period, with Robinson committing his 4th foul and going to the bench, with Bryant (12pts) with 2/2 shots bringing Hapoel back to within a point (54-55). Wainwright in the 22nd minute gave Itoudis' team their first lead of the match (56-55), with Malcolm in the 23rd minute with a three-pointer to make it 59-55. Hapoel tried to impose its rhythm, but was off-target, with Faye in the 25th minute reducing it to 61-60. The positive for the typical home team was Paris' 11 errors, with Blakeney (13pts) in the 27th minute shaping the 66-63. Bryant (14pts) in the 28th minute made it 68-63, with Blakeney (18pts, 4/7 trp) having the Israelis on his back and with a new 3-pointer in the 29th minute bringing Hapoel to 7 (73-66), with the quarter ending at 75-69 with Ifi (16pts).

Hapoel took the obligation and entered the trap of the 4-team again

The fourth period began with Malcolm (10pts) bringing the difference to 8 (77-69), but Paris responded immediately and with 2 consecutive 3-pointers from Roden and Robinson bringing the game within shooting distance (77-75) in the 31st minute. Blakeney (21pts, 5/8 trp) declared again "present" in the 32nd minute for 81-75 with a shot from the perimeter, with the match becoming dull afterwards, the two teams remaining absent for almost 2 minutes and Oturou (11pts) in the 35th minute with 1/2 shots making it 82-75. Bryant (16pts) in the 36th minute made it 84-77, with Dokosi in the 37th minute reducing it to 84-79, but Blakeney (24pts) being there again and with his 6th three-pointer (6/10) making it 87-79. The saving throw for Paris was given by Oturou (13pts) in the 39th minute, who made it 89-79 with a dunk, with the final score of 93-82 giving Hapoel the victory and putting it back in its own hands 4-team.

Η Χάποελ Τελ Αβίβ έβγαλε την υποχρέωση κόντρα στην Παρί (93-82) και μπήκε ξανά στο κόλπο της 4άδας και του πλεονεκτήματος έδρας στα πλέι οφ.

To ένα από τα δύο χρωστούμενα σβήστηκε για την ομάδα του Δημήτρη Ιτούδη, που με ματς λιγότερο -αυτό απέναντι στη Μακάμπι- έφτασε πλέον στο 19-11 και κυνηγάει τις Ρεάλ και Βαλένθια, που έχουν 20-11, για μία θέση στην 4άδα και το αβαντάζ της έδρας στα πλέι οφ.

Έπεσε ακόμα πιο χαμηλά η Παρί, που είναι στο 12-20 και έχει χάσει για τα καλά το τρένο της πρόκρισης έστω και μέσω της διαδικασίας των play in.

Το σύνολο του Ιτούδη μπήκε νωχελικά στο παιχνίδι, αλλά όσο περνούσε η ώρα έβρισκε ρυθμό και στο φινάλε με την ποιότητά του έφτασε εύκολα στην επικράτηση με τα 23/35 δίποντα (65,7%) και τις 21 ασίστ για 12 λάθη και 9 κλεψίματα να κάνουν τη διαφορά.

Μεγάλος πρωταγωνιστής για τη Χάποελ Τελ Αβίβ ήταν ο Αντόνιο Μπλέικνι, που σταμάτησε στους 24 πόντους (6/10 τριπ., 5 ριμπ.), με τον Ελάιζα Μπράιαντ να προσθέτει άλλους 18 (5/7 διπ., 5 ασ.). Στους 15 ο Ντάνιελ Οτούρου (6/7 διπ.) και στους 11 ο Κόλιν Μάλκολμ.

Από την πλευρά της Παρί, πρώτος σκόρερ, αλλά και παράλληλα εξαιρετικά άστοχος (1/6 τριπ.) ήταν ο Ναντίρ Ίφι (5/9 διπ., 6 ασ.), με τον Τζάρεντ Ρόντεν να προσθέτει άλλους 13 (3/7 τριπ., 4 κλεψ.).

Τον χαβά της από νωρίς η Παρί και προβάδισμα

Η Παρί μπήκε πιο ζεστή στην αναμέτρηση κι εκμεταλλεύτηκε τα 2 λάθη της Χάποελ σε μόλις 1:52 λεπτά, με τον Ρόμπινσον με 2/3 βολές στο 2' να γράφει το 2-7. Κάπου εκεί ήρθε η καθιερωμένη αλλαγή πεντάδας από τον Ταμπελίνι, με τον Ίφι να παίρνει μπρος και με 4 σερί πόντους να πηγαίνει τη γαλλική ομάδα στο +8 (5-13) στο 4'. Οι φιλοξενούμενοι είχαν παρασύρει τη Χάποελ στον ρυθμό τους, με τον Μπράιαντ να παίρνει πρωτοβουλίες και με μία ασίστ στον Οτούρου και ένα τρίποντο να μειώνει σε 13-18 στο 6'. Η Παρί φαινόταν να είναι μία ταχύτητα παραπάνω και με τον Στίβενς στο 7' να πηγαίνει και πάλι τους Γάλλους στο +8 (15-23), με τους Ουαϊνράιτ και Μπλέικνι να απανούν στο 9' για το 20-23, αλλά τους φιλοξενούμενους να κλείνουν το δεκάλεπτο στο 24-30 με τον Ουατάρα και να έχουν 4/7 τρίποντα (57,1%).

Ξεκίνησε να μπαίνει στο ματς η Χάποελ και το έφερε σχεδόν στα ίσα

Η second unit του Ιτούδη στη εκκίνηση της δεύτερης περιόδου δεν απέδιδε, με τον Ρόντεν και τον Ντοκοσί στο 13' να ανεβάζουν τη διαφορά στους 9 (26-35) και τον Έλληνα τεχνικό να επαναφέρει στο παρκέ τους Μίσιτς και Μπράιαντ. Ο Αμερικανός έπιασε άμεσα δουλειά και με βολή από τεχνική ποινή στον Ταμπελίνι και δίποντο, μείωσε σε 29-35 στο 14', με τον Μίσιτς στο 15' με 2/2 να κάνει το 31-37. Η Παρί όμως βρήκε και πάλι τον τρόπο και με τρίποντο του Μόργκαν πήγε εκ νέου στους 9 (33-42), με τον Μπράιαντ (10π.) να αποτελεί τη μοναδική σίγουρη λύση για τη Χάποελ, με τον Αμερικανό να μειώνει σε 38-42 στο 16'. Το σερί των Ισραηλινών έφτασε στο 7-0 με τον Μπλέικνι για το 40-42 στο 17', με την ομάδα του Ιτούδη να σετάρει προϊόντος του χρόνου καλύτερα το ματς και να φτάνει στον πόντο στο 19' 2/2 βολές του Μίσιτς (7π.). Η Παρί ωστόσο χάρη στον Ίφι, που είχε ήδη 10 πόντους και 6 ασίστ, πήγε στα αποδυτήρια ούσα μπροστά με 52-53. 

Έβαλε το νερό στο αυλάκι η ομάδα του Ιτούδη

Το πρώτο πρόβλημα της Παρί στο ματς ήρθε μόλις στα 61" της τρίτης περιόδου, με τον Ρόμπινσον να κάνει το 4ο φάουλ του και να πηγαίνει στον πάγκο, με τον Μπράιαντ (12π.) με 2/2 βολές να φέρνει τη Χάποελ και πάλι στον πόντο (54-55). Ο Ουαϊνράιτ στο 22' έδωσε το πρώτο προβάδισμα της ομάδας του Ιτούδη στο ματς (56-55), με τον Μάλκολμ στο 23' με τρίποντο να κάνει το 59-55. Η Χάποελ προσπάθησε να επιβάλλει τον ρυθμό της, αλλά ήταν άστοχη, με τον Φαγιέ στο 25' να μειώνει σε 61-60. Το θετικό για τους τυπικά γηπεδούχους ήταν τα 11 λάθη της Παρί, με τον Μπλέικνι (13π.) στο 27' να διαμορφώνει το 66-63. Ο Μπράιαντ (14π.) στο 28' έγραψε το 68-63, με τον Μπλέικνι (18π., 4/7 τριπ.) να έχει πάρει στην πλάτη του τους Ισραηλινούς και με νέο τρίποντο στο 29' να πηγαίνει τη Χάποελ στους 7 (73-66), με το δεκάλεπτο να κλείνει στο 75-69 με τον Ίφι (16π.).

Έβγαλε την υποχρέωση και μπήκε ξανά στο κόλπο της 4άδας η Χάποελ

Η τέταρτη περίοδος ξεκίνησε με τον Μάλκολμ (10π.) να πηγαίνει τη διαφορά στους 8 (77-69), αλλά την Παρί να απαντά άμεσα και με 2 σερί τρίποντα από τους Ρόντεν και Ρόμπινσον να φέρνει το παιχνίδι σε απόσταση βολής (77-75) στο 31'. Ο Μπλέικνι (21π., 5/8 τριπ.) δήλωσε και πάλι «παρών» στο 32' για το 81-75 με σουτ από την περιφέρεια, με το ματς να γίνεται άτσαλο στη συνέχεια, τις δύο ομάδες να μένουν άποντες για σχεδόν 2 λεπτά και τον Οτούρου (11π.) στο 35' με 1/2 βολές να κάνει το 82-75. Ο Μπράιαντ (16π.) στο 36' έκανε το 84-77, με τον Ντοκοσί στο 37' να μειώνει σε 84-79, αλλά τον Μπλέικνι (24π.) να είναι και πάλι εκεί και με το 6ο του τρίποντο (6/10) να διαμορφώνει το 87-79. Τη χαριστική βολή στην Παρί την έδωσε ο Οτούρου (13π.) στο 39', που με κάρφωμα έκανε το 89-79, με το τελικό 93-82 να δίνει τη νίκη στη Χάποελ και να την βάζει και πάλι στο κόλπο της 4άδας.
