Atromitos - AEK 2-2

A stand... Atromitos for AEK. Jovic's two goals were not enough to overturn the deficit, as Mutousami scored the final 2-2 and set the top team on fire with a three-point tie.

They had chances, they had posts, they had the... hot Luka Jovic with two goals, but in the end they couldn't smile. AEK made a stand... in Peristeri and Atromitos "hurt" them, with the two teams eventually drawing 2-2 in the 25th round of the Stoiximan Super League.

Thus, the Two-Headed Ones missed a tremendous opportunity to remain the only team in the championship standings and are now tied with PAOK and Olympiacos, with the three teams each having 57 points (PAOK is formally first as it is superior in the tie).

A strong start and then... nothing

The Union started the match in an excellent way, threatening the Atromitos goal with... good evening. Specifically, the first opportunity came before the first minute of the match was even completed, with Petros Mantalos shooting after a stoppage time phase and Gugesashvili saving.

AEK's second opportunity came in the same way, with Mukundi heading in from the corner that his team won, however the Georgian goalkeeper of the Peristeri team was again on hand and kept his goal intact. Thus, Marko Nikolic's team had two fairly good chances in just 2 minutes of the game, but from there on the pace dropped noticeably.

Hurt by former

As the minutes passed, Dusan Kerkez's team began to press better on the field and after... escaping the dynamic start of the Two-Headed, they knew that they could "hit" and do the damage. The first chance came in the 28th minute, with Ukaki attempting a shot from distance and Strakosias easily saving.

Finally, Atromitos' moment came in the 33rd minute, with Simos Mitoglou hurting his former team. The 26-year-old central defender found himself in an excellent position after a cross from Uronen and found the net with a terrific header for 1-0, with the tall stopper not celebrating as a sign of respect for the Two-Headed Man and the years he spent with the team.

Two goals, but... 1-0

After Atromitos' goal, AEK looked a little confused and the Peristeri team went to take full advantage of this. Specifically, immediately after Mitoglou's goal, Tsoumber also threatened the Union's goal, but Strakosia easily saved. The home team now clearly had the momentum of the match and even found a second goal, however this time it did not count.

Somewhere there, Marko Nikolic "rang" the bell and his team picked up the pace, looking for the goal that would bring the match to an equalizer before the end of the first half. And so it happened, with the notable difference that the goal never counted. Barnabas Varga found himself in the "heart" of the area and found the net with a beautiful projection like... Zlatan and, however, the goal was canceled with the help of VAR, as the Hungarian forward was in an offside position when Relvas headed back after a cross from Marin. Thus, the score remained 1-0 in favor of the home team.

Jovic took his weapon

The second half began as the first ended, with AEK pressing. The Union had possession and with the substitutions of Pineda-Joao Mario became more aggressive. Thus, it slowly got closer and closer to the opponent's goal and in a period of injury time it equalized the match. The ball reached the Serb after an effort by Varga in the area and he, with an incredible finish in the corner of the goal, made it 1-1 in the 63rd minute.

Before Atromitos could recover, the "yellow and black" struck a second time. Koita, who after the substitutions was now moving to the right side, stepped into the area, made a very beautiful turn, the ball went past everyone and Luka Jovic scored for the second time in the match, completing the turnaround for 2-1 in the 69th minute.

All tied again out of nowhere and... dramatic minutes

Somewhere there everyone thought that the match had been decided, with AEK having "turned it around" and now having the lead. Oh no! Out of... nowhere Atromitos brought the match back to a tie with a corner kick shortly after the goal they conceded. Uronen took over the execution again, sent the ball once again to the far post and Mutousami passed the ball through the eye of the needle and beat Strakosias for 2-2 in the 71st minute.

Time passed and the draw did not benefit AEK at all, with Nikolic's team again looking for the goal that would bring them alone to the top of the standings. Somehow they had great opportunities, with Gugesashvili impressively stopping a header by Varga (85'), while in the very next minute Relvas also threatened (86'), with the ball going out of bounds.

The absolute... rock phase came in stoppage time (92'), with Mukundi hitting the crossbar with a header, while then Jovic, who got the "rebound", also sent the ball into the post from close range, with the score remaining 2-2 until the final whistle.

In fact, in the last phase of the match, Atromitos almost... stole the win, with Mitoglou getting a header after a cross from Uronen, however the ball went out of bounds.

Στάση... Ατρόμητος για την ΑΕΚ. Τα δύο γκολ του Γιόβιτς δεν έφταναν για την ανατροπή, αφού ο Μουτουσαμί έγραψε το τελικό 2-2 κι έβαλε «φωτιά» στην κορυφή με τριπλή ισοβαθμία.

Είχε ευκαιρίες, είχε δοκάρια, είχε τον... καυτό Λούκα Γιόβιτς με δύο γκολ, όμως στο τέλος δεν τα κατάφερε να χαμογελάσει. Η ΑΕΚ έκανε... στάση στο Περιστέρι και ο Ατρόμητος την «πλήγωσε», με τις δύο ομάδες να έρχονται τελικά ισόπαλες με σκορ 2-2 στο πλαίσο της 25ης αγωνιστικής της Stoiximan Super League.

Έτσι, ο Δικέφαλος έχασε τρομερή ευκαιρία να παραμείνει μόνη πρώτη στη βαθμολογία του πρωταθλήματος και πλέον είναι ισόβαθμη με τον ΠΑΟΚ και τον Ολυμπιακό, με τις τρεις ομάδες να έχουν από 57 βαθμούς έκαστοι (ο ΠΑΟΚ είναι τυπικά πρώτος καθώς υπερέχει στην ισοβαθμία).

Δυνατό ξεκίνημα και μετά... τίποτα

Η Ένωση ξεκίνησε με εξαιρετικό τρόπο το ματς, απειλώντας με το... καλησπέρα την εστία του Ατρομήτου. Συγκεκριμένα, η πρώτη ευκαιρία ήρθε πριν καν συμπληρωθεί το πρώτο λεπτό της αναμέτρησης, με τον Πέτρο Μάνταλο να σουτάρει έπειτα από φάση διαρκείας και τον Γκουγκεσασβίλι να σώζει. 

Κάπως έτσι ήρθε και η δεύτερη ευκαιρία της ΑΕΚ, με τον Μουκουντί να παίρνει την κεφαλιά από το κόρνερ που κέρδισε η ομάδα του, ωστόσο ο Γεωργιανός τερματοφύλακας των Περιστεριωτών βρισκόταν ξανά σε ετοιμότητα και κράτησε ανέπαφη την εστία του.  Έτσι, η ομάδα του Μάρκο Νίκολιτς είχε δύο αρκετά καλές ευκαιρίες μόλις στα 2' του παιχνιδιού, αλλά από εκεί και έπειτα ο ρυθμός έπεσε αισθητά. 

Πληγώθηκε από πρώην

Όσο περνούσαν τα λεπτά, η ομάδα του Ντούσαν Κέρκεζ ξεκίνησε να πατάει καλύτερα στον αγωνιστικό χώρο και αφού... γλύτωσε στην αρχή από το δυναμικό ξεκίνημα του Δικέφαλου, ήξερε πως μπορεί αυτή να «χτυπήσει» και να κάνει τη ζημιά. Πρώτη ευκαιρία ήρθε στο 28', με τον Ουκάκι να επιχειρεί ένα σουτ από μακριά και τον Στρακόσια να σώζει εύκολα. 

Τελικά, η στιγμή του Ατρομήτου ήρθε στο 33ο λεπτό, με τον Σίμο Μήτογλου να πληγώνει την πρώην ομάδα του. Ο 26χρονος κεντρικός αμυντικός βρέθηκε σε εξαιρετική θέση έπειτα από σέντρα του Ούρονεν και βρήκε δίχτυα με τρομερή κεφαλιά για το 1-0,  με τον υψηλόσωμο στόπερ να μην πανηγυρίζει ως ένδειξη σεβασμού στον Δικέφαλο και τα χρόνια που πέρασε στην ομάδα. 

Δύο γκολ, αλλά... 1-0

Μετά το γκολ του Ατρομήτου η ΑΕΚ έδειχνε λίγο σαστισμένη και οι Περιστεριώτες πήγαν να το εκμεταλλευτούν στο έπακρο αυτό. Συγκεκριμένα, αμέσως μετά το τέρμα του Μήτογλου απείλησε και ο Τσούμπερ την εστία της Ένωσης, αλλά ο Στρακόσια έσωσε εύκολα. Οι γηπεδπούχοι πλέον είχαν ξεκάθαρα το momentum του ματς και μάλιστα βρήκαν και δεύτερο γκολ, ωστόσο αυτή τη φορά δεν μέτρησε. 

Κάπου εκεί «χτύπησε» το καμπανάκι ο Μάρκο Νίκολιτς και η ομάδα του ανέβασε ρυθμό, ψάχνοντας το γκολ που θα έφερνε στα ίσα το ματς πριν τη λήξη του πρώτου ημιχρόνου. Έτσι και έγινε, με την ειδοποιό διαφορά όμως πως το τέρμα δεν μέτρησε ποτέ. Ο Μπαρναμπας Βάργκα βρέθηκε στην «καρδιά» της περιοχής και βρήκε δίχτυα με μία πανέμορφη προβολή τύπου... Ζλάταν και, ωστόσο το γκολ ακυρώθηκε και με τη βοήθεια του VAR, καθώς ο Ούγγρος φορ ήταν σε θέση οφσάιντ όταν έκανε ο Ρέλβας μία κεφαλιά προς τα πίσω έπειτα από σέντρα του Μάριν. Έτσι, έμεινε και το 1-0 υπέρ των γηπεδούχων. 

Ο Γιόβιτς πήρε το όπλο του 

Το δεύτερο ημίχρονο ξεκίνησε όπως τελείωσε το πρώτο, με την ΑΕΚ να πιέζει. Η Ένωση είχε την κατοχή και με τις αλλαγές των Πινέδα-Ζοάο Μάριο έγινε και πιο επιθετική. Έτσι, σιγά σιγά έφτανε όλο και πιο κοντά στο αντίπαλο τέρμα και σε μία φάση διαρκείας ισοφάρισε το ματς. Η μπάλα έφτασε στον Σέρβο έπειτα από προσπάθεια του Βάργκα στην περιοχή και αυτός με ένα απίθανο τελειωμα στη γωνία της εστίας έκανε το 1-1 στο 63ο λεπτό.

Πριν καλά-καλά καταφέρει να συνέλθει ο Ατρόμητος, οι «κιτρινόμαυροι» χτύπησαν και δεύτερη φορά. Ο Κοϊτά , ο οποίος μετά τις αλλαγές κινούνταν πλέον στην δεξιά πλευρά, πάτησε περιοχή, έκανε ένα πολύ όμορφο γύρισμα, η μπάλα πέρασε από όλους και ο Λούκα Γιόβιτς από κοντά σκόραρε για δεύτερη φορά στην αναμέτρηση, ολοκληρώνοντας την ανατροπή για το 2-1 στο 69ο λεπτό. 

Όλα ίσα ξανά από το πουθενά και... δραματικά λεπτά

Κάπου εκεί όλοι νόμιζαν πως έχει κριθεί το ματς, με την ΑΕΚ να το έχει «γυρίσει» και να έχει πλέον το προβάδισμα. Αμ δε! Από το... πουθενά ο Ατρόμητος έφερε ξανά το ματς στα ίσα με ένα κόρνερ ελάχιστα μετά το γκολ που δέχτηκε. Ο Ούρονεν ανέλαβε ξανά την εκτέλεση, έστειλε τη μπάλα για μία ακόμη φορά στο δεύτερο δοκάρι και ο Μουτουσαμί πέρασε τη μπάλα από το μάτι της βελόνας και νίκησε τον Στρακόσια για το 2-2 στο 71'. 

Ο χρόνος περνούσε και η ισοπαλία δεν συνέφερε καθόλου την ΑΕΚ, με την ομάδα του Νίκολιτς να ψάχνει ξανά το γκολ που θα την έφερνε μόνη στην κορυφή της βαθμολογίας. Κάπως έτσι είχε και μεγάλες ευκαιρίες, με τον Γκουγκεσασβίλι να σταμάτά εντυπωσιακά μία κεφαλιά του Βάργκα (85'), ενώ στο αμέσως επόμενο λεπτό απείλησε και ο Ρέλβας (86'), με τη μπάλα να περνάει άουτ.

Η απόλυτη... ροκ φάση ήρθε στις καθυστερήσεις (92'), με τον Μουκουντί να πετυχαίνει το οριζόντιο δοκάρι με κεφαλιά, ενώ στη συνέχεια ο Γιόβιτς που πήρε το «ριμπάουντ» έστειλε κι αυτός από κοντά τη μπάλα στο δοκάρι, με το 2-2 να μένει μέχρι το τελικό σφύριγμα της λήξης. 

Μάλιστα, στην τελευταία φάση του αγώνα λίγο έλειψε ο Ατρόμητος να... κλέψει και τη νίκη, με τον Μήτογλου να παίρνει μία κεφαλιά έπειτα από σέντρα του Ούρονεν, ωστόσο η μπάλα έφυγε άουτ.
