Ωστόσο οι Πολ Τζορτζ και Καρμέλο Άντονι δεν έχουν πειστεί καθόλου πως κάτι τέτοιο θα γίνει πράξη. Το αντίθετο μάλιστα, με τον Τζορτζ να λέει στο podcast του πως το δέσιμο του Αντετοκούνμπο με τους Μπακς θα μιλήσει στο φινάλε.

«Ο Γιάννης είναι μίας άλλης εποχής. Θεωρώ ότι θέλει να μείνει στους Μπακς όλη του την καριέρα» ανέφερε, με τον Μέλο να συμπληρώνει «δεν πάει πουθενά».

Όλα αυτά την ώρα που οι Μπακς σκέφτονται να χρησιμοποιήσουν τη χρονιά που έρχεται για να χτίσουν ξανά γύρω από τον Γιάννη Αντετοκούνμπο, με τον Ντέμιαν Λίλαρντ να βρίσκεται στα πιτς μετά και τον πολύ σοβαρό τραυματισμό του.

Φυσικά αν οι Καρμέλο και Τζορτς δε δικαιωθούν, τότε οι μνηστήρες για τον Greek Freak θα είναι πολλοί, αφού στα 30 του, παρά την αποτυχημένη σεζόν των Μπακς, ο ίδιος ήταν ένας εκ των κορυφαίων του NBA, με 30.4 πόντους, 11.9 ριμπάουντ, 6.5 ασίστ και 1.2 μπλοκ ανά παιχνίδι!
