Λίγα μόνο μέτρα πιο πέρα, στο Παρκ ντε Πρενς, γινόταν από νωρίς πάρτι για την ομάδα του Λουίς Ενρίκε. Οι φίλοι του τένις, ωστόσο, γέμισαν το Philippe Chatrier για τον Νόλε και ο 38χρονος Σέρβος τους αποζημίωσε με επιβλητική νίκη σε βάρος του μαχητικού Αυστριακού.

Εν μέσω πανηγυρισμών εντός και εκτός γηπέδου για τα γκολ της Παρί, ο θρυλικός τενίστας πήρε τη νίκη με 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 σε 2 ώρες και 8 λεπτά και έκλεισε ραντεβού με τον Καμ Νόρι στον τέταρτο γύρο. Είναι η 16η διαδοχική φορά που περνάει στον τέταρτο γύρο του Roland Garros και η 19η συνολικά.

Αν, μάλιστα, καταφέρει να κάμψει την αντίσταση του Βρετανού τη Δευτέρα (2/6), τότε θα φτάσει τις 100 νίκες στο παριζιάνικο σλαμ και θα ξεπεράσει τις 99 του Australian Open!
