The British McLaren driver was the first to cut the thread in the 18-lap Sprint Race of the “Miami International Autodrome” track, finishing easily and.. behind the safety car!
In the second Sprint Race of the season at the sixth Grand Prix of the year, McLaren was the big winner in a chaotic race, where there was a delay due to rain, collisions, retirements, red flags and penalties!
Fernando Alonso's retirement due to the wet road surface on lap 15, as well as the fact that his Aston Martin came to a standstill in a dangerous part of the track, brought out the safety car, resulting in Piastri looking lucky and finishing the race in first place, leaving his teammate, Oscar Piastri, behind!
The podium was completed by Lewis Hamilton, who, thanks to Ferrari's excellent strategy, took advantage of the circumstances and climbed high in the standings, while Charles Leclerc did not take part in the race, after having destroyed his car on the barriers during the formation lap!
Max Verstappen was also extremely unlucky, with the World Champion being correctly penalized with a ten-second penalty for a dangerous exit from the pit stop that resulted in a collision with Antonelli, bringing the Dutchman out of the points and in 17th place!
Now, everyone is preparing for the evening qualifying tests ahead of tomorrow's Grand Prix, which will start at 23:00.

Σε ένα βροχερό σκηνικό με πολλές καθυστερήσεις και διακοπές, ο Λάντο Νόρις τερμάτισε πρώτος στο Sprint Race του Μαϊάμι πίσω από το αυτοκίνητο ασφαλείας, με τον Πιάστρι να κάνει το 1-2 για τη McLaren!

Ο Βρετανός πιλότος της McLaren ήταν εκείνος που έκοψε πρώτος το νήμα στον Αγώνα Σπριντ 18 γύρων της πίστας «Miami International Autodrome», τερματίζοντας εύκολα και.. σβηστά πίσω από το αυτοκίνητο ασφαλείας!
Στο δεύτερο Sprint Race της σεζόν στο έκτο φετινό Grand Prix της χρονιάς, η McLaren ήταν η μεγάλη νικήτρια σε έναν χαοτικό αγώνα, όπου υπήρξε καθυστέρηση λόγω βροχής, συγκρούσεις, εγκαταλείψεις, κόκκινες σημαίες και ποινές!
Η έξοδος του Φερνάντο Αλόνσο λόγω του βρεγμένου οδοστρώματος στον 15ο γύρο, αλλά και το γεγονός πως η Aston Martin του ακινητοποιήθηκε σε επικίνδυνο σημείο της πίστας, έφερε το αυτοκίνητο ασφαλείας με αποτέλεσμα ο Πιάστρι να φανεί τυχερός και να ολοκληρώσει τον αγώνα στην πρώτη θέση, αφήνοντας πίσω τον ομόσταβλό του, Όσκαρ Πιάστρι!
Το βάθρο συμπλήρωσε ο Λιούις Χάμιλτον, ο οποίος χάρη στην εξαιρετική στρατηγική της Ferrari εκμεταλλεύτηκε τις συγκυρίες και ανέβηκε ψηλά στην κατάταξη, την ώρα, όπου ο Σαρλ Λεκλέρ, δεν πήρε μέρος στον αγώνα, αφού είχε κατέστρεψε το μονοθέσιό του στις μπαριέρες κατά τον γύρο σχηματισμού!
Εξαιρετικά άτυχος στάθηκε και ο Μαξ Φερστάπεν, με τον Παγκόσμιο Πρωταθλητή να τιμωρείται σωστά με ποινή δέκα δευτερολέπτων για επικίνδυνη έξοδο από τα pit stop που είχε ως αποτέλεσμα τη σύγκρουση με τον Αντονέλι, φέρνοντας τον Ολλανδό εκτός βαθμών και στη 17η θέση!
Πλέον, άπαντες ετοιμάζονται για τις βραδινές κατατακτήριες δοκιμές ενόψει του αυριανού Grand Prix, οι οποίες και θα ξεκινήσουν στις 23:00.
