Nice defeated Brest 6-0 and “locked” in the last matchday of Ligue 1 the fourth place, which gives a ticket to the Champions League, while Saint-Etienne was relegated to the second division

The first three places in the Ligue 1 standings had been locked since the previous matchday, however, the matches that would determine the teams that would get the remaining European tickets were of great interest.

Specifically, Nice defeated Brest 6-0 and secured the fourth place in the standings and, by extension, its participation in the Champions League qualifiers next season.

Lille overcame the obstacle of Rennes, defeating them 2-1. Thus, they finished fifth and will compete in the Europa League next season, while Lyon will be sixth in the Conference League, as they took advantage of Strasbourg's mistake and beat Angers 2-0.

In the remaining games at 22:00, champion Paris Saint-Germain defeated Auxerre 3-1 and finished the season, being +19 from second-placed Marseille, which beat Rennes 4-2, while Monaco was defeated 4-0 by Lens.

Finally, regarding the battle for relegation, Saint-Etienne did not succeed against Toulouse (2-3) and was relegated back to the second division, just one year after its promotion to Ligue 1. Rennes finished above them, who will compete in the relegation play-offs.

Η Νις διέσυρε με 6-0 τη Μπρεστ και “κλείδωσε” στην τελευταία αγωνιστική της Ligue 1 την τέταρτη θέση, που δίνει εισιτήριο για το Champions League, ενώ η Σεντ Ετιέν υποβιβάστηκε στη δεύτερη κατηγορία

Οι πρώτες τρεις θέσεις της βαθμολογίας της Ligue 1 είχαν κλειδώσει από την προηγούμενη αγωνιστική, ωστόσο μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον παρουσίαζαν οι αγώνες που θα καθόριζαν τις ομάδες που θα έπαιρναν τα υπόλοιπα ευρωπαϊκά εισιτήρια.

Συγκεκριμένα, η Νις διέσυρε με 6-0 την Μπρέστ και εξασφάλισε την τέταρτη θέση του βαθμολογικού πίνακα και κατ’ επέκταση τη συμμετοχής της στα προκριματικά του Champions League την επόμενη σεζόν.

Η Λιλ ξεπέρασε το εμπόδιο της Ρενς, λυγίζοντάς την με 2-1. Έτσι, τερμάτισε πέμπτη και θα αγωνιστεί την επόμενη περίοδο στο Europa League, ενώ στο Conference League θα βρεθεί ως έκτη η Λιόν, καθώς εκμεταλλεύτηκε το στραβοπάτημα της Στασμπούρ και επικράτησε 2-0 της Ανζέ.

Στα υπόλοιπα παιχνίδια των 22:00, η πρωταθλήτρια Παρί Σεν Ζερεμέν νίκησε 3-1 την Οσέρ και ολοκλήρωσε τη σεζόν, ούσα στο +19 από τη δεύτερη Μαρσέιγ, η οποία επικράτησε με 4-2 της Ρέν, ενώ η Μονακό ηττήθηκε με 4-0 από τη Λανς.

Τέλος, όσον αφορά τη μάχη της παραμονής, η Σεντ Ετιέν δεν τα κατάφερε απέναντι στην Τουλούζ (2-3) και υποβιβάστηκε ξανά στη δεύτερη κατηγορία, μόλις έναν χρόνο μετά τον προβιβασμό της στη Ligue 1. Από πάνω της τερμάτισε η Ρενς, που θα αγωνιστεί στα μπαράζ παραμονής.
