Ostoja Mihajlovic, President of Partizan, was clear about the team’s European future.

Partizan President spoke to Serbian station B92 and seems to put an end to any clouds that may have preceded the relations between his team and the EuroLeague. Ostoja Mihajlovic was clear about Partizan’s strategic choices and stated that his team is committed to the EuroLeague and that it is not thinking about participating in the Basketball Champions League.

Specifically, as reported by Sport Klub which carries his statements, the Partizan President said: “Partizan is not thinking about the FIBA ​​Champions League at the moment, with all due respect. Partizan is strategically focused on the EuroLeague at the moment.”

Mihajlovic has previously stated that Partizan is “one of the most serious candidates for a long-term EuroLeague license” and that the club is in negotiations with the international organization regarding the license fee.

The “black and white” from Belgrade returned to the EuroLeague in the 2022/23 season, but failed to qualify for the playoffs this season, as they finished the regular season in 12th place in the standings. The dynamic of their fans is, however, a permanent source of content for EuroLeague people.

Partizan last played in the Basketball Champions League in the 2016/17 season, when they were eliminated by PAOK in the playoffs.

Ο Οστόγια Μιχαΐλοβιτς, Πρόεδρος της Παρτίζαν, ήταν ξεκάθαρος σχετικά με το ευρωπαϊκό μέλλον της ομάδας.

Ο Πρόεδρος της Παρτίζαν μίλησε στον σερβικό σταθμό Β92 και φαίνεται να βάζει τέλος σε όποια σύννεφα είχαν ενδεχομένως προηγηθεί στις σχέσεις ανάμεσα στην ομάδα του και την EuroLeague. Ο Οστόγια Μιχαΐλοβιτς, ήταν ξεκάθαρος όσον αφορά τις στρατηγικές επιλογές της Παρτίζαν και δήλωσε ότι η ομάδα του είναι αφοσιωμένη στην EuroLeague και ότι δεν σκέφεται τη συμμετοχή στο Basketball Champions League.

Συγκεκριμένα, όπως αναφέρεται στην Sport Klub που μεταφέρει τις δηλώσεις του, ο Πρόεδρος της Παρτίζαν είπε: “Η Παρτιζάν δεν σκέφτεται αυτή τη στιγμή το FIBA Champions League, με όλο το σεβασμό. Η Partizan είναι στρατηγικά επικεντρωμένη στην EuroLeague αυτή τη στιγμή”.

Ο Μιχαϊλοβιτς είχε δηλώσει στο παρελθόν ότι η Παρτιζάν είναι “μία από τους πιο σοβαρές υποψήφιες για μια μακροπρόθεσμη άδεια της EuroLeague” και ότι ο σύλλογος βρίσκεται σε διαπραγματεύσεις με τη διεθνή διοργάνωση σχετικά με την τιμή της άδειας.

Οι «ασπρόμαυροι» του Βελιγραδίου επέστρεψαν στην EuroLeague τη σεζόν 2022/23, αλλά δεν κατάφεραν να προκριθούν στα πλέι οφ της φετινής σεζόν, καθώς ολοκλήρωσαν την κανονική περίοδο στη 12η θέση της βαθμολογίας. Η δυναμική των φιλάθλων της είναι ωστόσο μια μόνιμη πηγή περιεχομένου για τους ανθρώπους της EuroLeague.

Η Παρτιζάν έπαιξε για τελευταία φορά στο Basketball Champions League τη σεζόν 2016/17, όταν αποκλείστηκε από τον ΠΑΟΚ στα πλέι-οφ.
