Sheffield United may have opened the scoring against Sunderland, however, they failed to capitalize on their good moments to seal the victory, allowing their opponent to make a great turnaround in the 90+5′.

Campbell made it 1-0 early in the match, but in the second half the “Black Cats” turned the match around with goals from Magenta (76′) and Watson (90+5′), thus returning to the Premier League after eight years.

The match

It wasn't until the 25th minute that Campbell opened the scoring for the Blades after a counterattack. Hammer made a key pass to his teammate, who found himself in a one-on-one position, controlled the ball and then tapped in for 1-0.

In fact, in the 36th minute, Burrows sent the ball into the net, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR intervention.

Sunderland's response came in the 76th minute, when Magenta was fed to an excellent spot in the opposing area and with an exemplary finish sent the ball into the sky of the net, bringing the game to a draw.

The victory - and by extension the promotion - for his team was given by Tom Watson with a goal in the 90+5′.

Η Σάντερλαντ βρέθηκε με την πλάτη στον τοίχο απέναντι στη Σέφιλντ Γιουνάιτεντ, ωστόσο στο 90+5′ γύρισε το παιχνίδι και εξασφάλισε την άνοδο στην Premier League.

Μόλις στο 25ο λεπτό ο Κάμπελ άνοιξε το σκορ για τις Λεπίδες μετά από κόντρα επίθεση. Ο Χάμερ έβγαλε μία πάσα κλειδί στον συμπαίκτη του, ο οποίος βρέθηκε σε θέση τετ-α-τετ, έκανε ένα κοντρόλ και τσίμπησε στη συνέχεια την μπάλα για το 1-0.

Μάλιστα, στο 36ο λεπτό ο Μπάροους έστειλε την μπάλα στο πλεκτό, ωστόσο το γκολ ακυρώθηκε μετά από παρέμβαση του VAR.

Η απάντηση της Σάντερλαντ ήρθε στο 76ο λεπτό, όταν ο Μαγεντά τροφοδοτήθηκε σε εξαιρετικό σημείο στην αντίπαλη περιοχή και με ένα υποδειγματικό τελείωμα έστειλε την μπάλα στον ουρανό των διχτύων, φέρνοντας το παιχνίδι στα ίσα.

Τη νίκη -και κατ’ επέκταση την άνοδο- για την ομάδα του χάρισε ο Τομ Γουάτσον με γκολ στο 90+5′.
