Milonas played with heart, passion and… determination against Olympiacos ONEX in the “Persian Crisis” and kept alive the dream of qualifying for the Volley League finals.

With an emphatic 3-0 set victory over the “reds and whites”, Sakis Psaras’ team proved to be a “tough nut to crack”, tying the series at 2-2 and now everything will be decided in the fifth match, at Rentis’ “Melina Merkouri”.

Panathinaikos is already waiting in the final, having prevailed 3-1 in the set of PAOK in Pylaia and made it 3-1 in the series.

Nanopoulos led Milonas with an impressive performance, scoring 18 points with 50% efficiency in the attack, 6 aces and 2 blocks. The contribution of Poluyan was also valuable, who added 15 points, while he distinguished himself both in the attack and in the reception. At the net, Linardos provided important solutions, recording 4 decisive blocks.

From the side of Olympiacos, the only one who stood out was Atanasievitch (14pts.), with the rest of the team presenting a mediocre picture in all areas. Koumendakis, for another game, failed to respond, finishing the match with just 2 points and a negative efficiency percentage (-25%). In the third set he was replaced by Dalakouras, who started as a starter.

The first set was played at a tight pace. Olympiacos led on three occasions, but Milonas managed the finale better, although the difference never exceeded four points. In the end, the home team took the lead 25-20.

The same pattern continued in the second set, with the two teams going head-to-head in the score. The “red and white” team held the upper hand for a long time, but Milonas found solutions and with decisive points in the finale, won this set as well, 25-23.

In the third set, the home team entered with momentum and quickly escaped with a 5-0 lead, increasing the difference to 9-1. Olympiacos reacted, gnawed at the gap and managed to temporarily take the lead, but Milonas maintained its composure. In the end, he imposed his pace again and with 25-21 he "sealed" a great victory with a clear 3-0.

Ο Μίλωνας έπαιξε με καρδιά, πάθος και… αποφασιστικότητα απέναντι στον Ολυμπιακό ONEX στο «Κροίσος Πέρσης» και κράτησε ζωντανό το όνειρο της πρόκρισης στους τελικούς της Volley League.

Με εμφατική νίκη 3-0 σετ επί των «ερυθρολεύκων», το σύνολο του Σάκη Ψάρα αποδείχθηκε «σκληρό καρύδι», ισοφαρίζοντας τη σειρά σε 2-2 και πλέον όλα θα κριθούν στο πέμπτο ματς, στο «Μελίνα Μερκούρη» του Ρέντη. 

Στον τελικό περιμένει ήδη ο Παναθηναϊκός, που επικράτησε 3-1 σετ του ΠΑΟΚ στην Πυλαία και έκανε το 3-1 στη σειρά.

Ο Νανόπουλος ηγήθηκε του Μίλωνα με μία εντυπωσιακή εμφάνιση, σημειώνοντας 18 πόντους με 50% αποτελεσματικότητα στην επίθεση, 6 άσους και 2 μπλοκ. Πολύτιμη ήταν και η συμβολή του Πολουγιάν, ο οποίος πρόσθεσε 15 πόντους, ενώ διακρίθηκε τόσο στην επίθεση όσο και στην υποδοχή. Στο φιλέ, ο Λινάρδος έδωσε σημαντικές λύσεις, καταγράφοντας 4 καθοριστικά μπλοκ.

Από πλευράς Ολυμπιακού, ο μόνος που ξεχώρισε ήταν ο Ατανασίεβιτς (14π.), με την υπόλοιπη ομάδα να παρουσιάζει μέτρια εικόνα σε όλους τους τομείς. Ο Κουμεντάκης, για ακόμη ένα παιχνίδι, δεν κατάφερε να ανταποκριθεί, τελειώνοντας το ματς με μόλις 2 πόντους και αρνητικό ποσοστό αποτελεσματικότητας (-25%). Στο τρίτο σετ αντικαταστάθηκε από τον Δαλακούρα, που ξεκίνησε βασικός. 

Το πρώτο σετ κύλησε με σφιχτό ρυθμό. Ο Ολυμπιακός προηγήθηκε σε τρεις περιπτώσεις, όμως ο Μίλωνας διαχειρίστηκε καλύτερα το φινάλε, παρότι η διαφορά δεν ξεπέρασε ποτέ τους τέσσερις πόντους. Τελικά, οι γηπεδούχοι πήραν το προβάδισμα με 25-20.

Η ίδια εικόνα συνεχίστηκε και στο δεύτερο σετ, με τις δύο ομάδες να βαδίζουν μαζί στο σκορ. Οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» κρατούσαν για αρκετή ώρα το πάνω χέρι, αλλά ο Μίλωνας βρήκε λύσεις και με καθοριστικούς πόντους στο φινάλε, κατέκτησε και αυτό το σετ με 25-23.

Στο τρίτο σετ οι γηπεδούχοι μπήκαν με ορμή και ξέφυγαν γρήγορα με 5-0, εκτοξεύοντας τη διαφορά στο 9-1. Ο Ολυμπιακός αντέδρασε, ροκάνισε τη διαφορά και κατάφερε προσωρινά να περάσει μπροστά, όμως ο Μίλωνας διατήρησε την ψυχραιμία του. Στο τέλος επέβαλε ξανά τον ρυθμό του και με 25-21 «σφράγισε» μια σπουδαία νίκη με καθαρό 3-0.
