Paphos - Nea Salamina 4-0: Party, four and top!

Performing an excellent first half and having a total of four different scorers, Paphos "destroyed" Nea Salamina 4-0, in the postponed game of the 1st matchday of the championship.

For the first time in its history in the First Division, Paphos starts the season with 3/3. Juan Carlos Carcedo's team "scattered to the 4 winds" Nea Salamina, winning 4-0 at "Stelios Kyriakides", in the context of the postponed match of the 1st matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.

Scorers for the home team Dragomir, Zairo, Pepe and Anderson, excellent performance by Tzatza who had an assist (on the 4th goal), disappointing performance for Christodoulou's team who were left with 3 points.

The... cleared it by halftime

New Salamina came in strongly and before a minute of the match was even completed, they threatened Ivusic's goal with Fernandes' header going wide. However, Paphos' response was immediate and... to the point. In the 8th minute, there was a ball on the back of the defense. Dragomir caught Michael, passed Andos and scored into the empty net for 1-0.

The Cup holders continued to press for a second goal, with Dzaza in the 21st minute making a nice individual effort but a poor finish (it ended up in the arms of Andos), while in the 29th minute the Brazilian's shot went over the crossbar. However, the other Pafos Brazilian, Zairo, scored correctly. Again with balls on the back of the defense, the captain of the home team brought the ball down and with an ideal shot made it 2-0 in the 36th minute.

This goal gave (more) "wings" to the Pafites, who found a third goal before the completion of the 45'. In the 42nd minute, Pepe played a one-two with Dragomir and made it 3-0 with a terrific shot from outside the area. The half ended with Vellios scoring for 3-1, but VAR disallowing the goal for borderline offside.

Maintenance, four and... top

Dzaza continued to be hungry in the replay, as he threatened with a -new- shot in the 48th minute, with the ball still not finding the target. But he found Anderson with a great dig in the 63rd minute, and he scored with a close header to make it 4-0!

In the 71st minute, the "red and whites" came close to the goal of honor, but the ball stopped on the crossbar of Ivusic after Acevedo's header. Eight minutes later (79'), the goalkeeper of the home team easily blocked Katsiaris' long shot. The last notable phase of the match, the direct free kick by Leziaks in the 89th minute which, however, did not threaten Ivusic.

Πραγματοποιώντας ένα εξαιρετικό πρώτο μέρος και έχοντας συνολικά τέσσερις διαφορετικούς σκόρερ, η Πάφος «διέλυσε» με 4-0 τη Νέα Σαλαμίνα, στο εξ' αναβολής παιχνίδι της 1ης αγωνιστικής του πρωταθλήματος.

Για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία της στην Α' Κατηγορία, η Πάφος ξεκινάει τη σεζόν με 3/3. Η ομάδα του Χουάν Κάρλος Καρσέδο «σκόρπισε στους 4 ανέμους» τη Νέα Σαλαμίνα, επικρατώντας με 4-0 στο «Στέλιος Κυριακίδης», στο πλαίσιο του εξ' αναβολής αγώνα της 1ης αγωνιστικής της Cyprus League by Stoiximan.

Σκόρερς για τους γηπεδούχους οι Ντράγκομιρ, Ζάιρο, Πέπε και Άντερσον, εξαιρετική εμφάνιση από τον Τζάτζα που είχε ασίστ (στο 4ο γκολ), απογοητευτική εμφάνιση για την ομάδα του Χριστοδούλου που έμεινε στους 3 βαθμούς.

Το... καθάρισε από ημίχρονο

Η Νέα Σαλαμίνα μπήκε δυναμικά και πριν καν συμπληρωθεί ένα λεπτό αγώνα, απείλησε την εστία του Ίβουσιτς με την κεφαλιά του Φερνάντες να περνάει άουτ. Ωστόσο, η απάντηση της Πάφου ήταν άμεση και... εύστοχη. Στο 8' έγινε μπαλιά στην πλάτη της άμυνας. ο Ντράγκομιρ πρόλαβε τον Μιχαήλ, πέρασε τον Άντος και σκόραρε στην κενή εστία για το 1-0.

Οι Κυπελλούχοι συνέχισαν να πιέζουν για ένα δεύτερο γκολ, με τον Τζάτζα στο 21' να κάνει ωραία ατομική ενέργεια αλλά κακό τελείωμα (κατέληξε στην αγκαλιά του Άντος), ενώ και στο 29' το γυριστό του Βραζιλιάνου πέρασε πάνω από το οριζόντιο δοκάρι. Όμως, ο έτερος Βραζιλιάνος της Πάφου, Ζάιρο, σημάδεψε σωστά. Ξανά με μπαλιά στην πλάτη της άμυνας, ο αρχηγός των γηπεδούχων κατέβασε την μπάλα και με ιδανικό σουτ έγραψε το 2-0 στο 36'.

Το γκολ αυτό έδωσε (περισσότερο) «φτερά» στους Παφίτες, που βρήκαν και τρίτο τέρμα πριν τη συμπλήρωση των 45'. Στο 42' ο Πέπε έπαιξε το ένα-δυο με τον Ντράγκομιρ και με τρομερό πλασέ εκτός περιοχής διαμόρφωσε το 3-0. Το ημίχρονο ολοκληρώθηκε με τον Βέλλιο να σκοράρει για το 3-1, όμως τον VAR να ακυρώνει το γκολ για οριακό οφσαίντ.

Συντήρηση, τεσσάρα και... κορυφή

Ο Τζάτζα συνέχισε να είναι ορεξάτος και στην επανάληψη, καθώς απείλησε με -νέο- σουτ στο 48', με την μπάλα πάντως πάλι να μην βρίσκει εστία. Βρήκε όμως με υπέροχο σκάψιμο τον Άντερσον στο 63ο λεπτό, και εκείνος με κοντινή κεφαλιά σκόραρε για το 4-0!

Στο 71' οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» πλησίασαν στο γκολ της τιμής, αλλά η μπάλα σταμάτησε στο οριζόντιο δοκάρι του Ίβουσιτς έπειτα από κεφαλιά του Ασεβέδο. Οκτώ λεπτά μετά (79'), ο κίπερ των γηπεδούχων μπλόκαρε εύκολα το μακρινό σουτ του Κατσιάρη. Τελευταία αξιόλογη φάση στο ματς, η απευθείας εκτέλεση φάουλ του Λέζιακς στο 89' που πάντως δεν απείλησε τον Ίβουσιτς.
