Η ομάδα του Τρινκιέρι, που δεν είχε στη διάθεσή της τον Νίκο Ζήση, μετά την Ουνικάχα Μάλαγα πήρε… αμπάριζα και την Μπασκόνια, της οποίας επιβλήθηκε 78-72 για το δικό της 2-2, ενώ από την άλλη άφησε τους Βάσκους χωρίς νίκη στις τέσσερις πρώτες αγωνιστικές της φετινής Ευρωλίγκας!
Κορυφαίος για τους πρωταθλητές Γερμανίας ήταν ο Ράιτ με 13 πόντους, με τους Στάιγκερ και Ραντόσεβιτς να προσθέτουν από 12 ο καθένας. Από τους φιλοξενούμενους πρώτος σκόρερ ήταν ο Γκρέιντζερ με 17 πόντους.

Με το «καλημέρα» του τέταρτου δεκαλέπτου, οι γηπεδούχοι πήγαν στο +10 (64-54) και στη συνέχεια ακόμη και στο +12 (69-57). Από εκείνο το σημείο και έπειτα, η Μπάμπεργκ διατηρούσε σταθερά μία απόσταση ασφαλείας και έτσι έφτασε στη νίκη με το τελικό 78-72.
