Panathinaikos with 9 players put on a show for a half, reaching +37 (20-57). Grigonis and Mitoglou seized the opportunity and the clover crowd that flooded the Patras indoor stadium saw a team with attitude and quality flatten Promitheas with a… ultimately poor 63-96.

The "clover" traveled to Patras a little less than half, since it had a total of 7 absences (Nunn, Lesor, Grant, Shorts, Rogavopoulos, Toliopoulos and Samodurov), with Ataman having only 9 players at its disposal, but giving a performance against the Colossus and now looking at the "devil's week" in Spain against Barcelona (7/4, 21:30) and Valencia (9/4, 21:45).

In terms of points, the game was indifferent for Panathinaikos, which now reached 18-5, with Prometheus falling to 7-15.

The presence of the "clover" world was dynamic again, which was once again next to the "greens" and created its own unique atmosphere.

The leading scorer for Panathinaikos was Dinos Mitoglou with 21 points (6/8 pts, 2/4 pts, 9 rebounds), with TJ Shorts adding another 19 (7/12 pts, 5 asps). Marius Grigonis had 16 (5/6 pts, 6 asps) and Panagiotis Kalaitzakis had 12 (4/6 pts).

On the side of Prometheus, Devon Grant stood out with 18 points (6/9 trp.) and Kendall Coleman with 13.

With hungry Grigonis and Shorts in double digits, Panathinaikos

The game started with Grigonis in good spirits and with 6 points, with Panathinaikos leading 3-8 in the 2nd minute, with Kalaitzakis in the 4th minute in a surprise move to make it 5-10. Prometheus did not let the "clover" escape any further and with a 4-0 run brought the match to a point (11-12), with Grant in the 7th minute tying and Ataman's team stuck on the attack. The solution was provided by Shorts, who with a difficult basket and an assist to Kalaitzakis brought Panathinaikos to 14-19 in the 8th minute. With the quarter ending with the "greens" at +12 (14-26) thanks to Grigonis (8pts) and Shorts (7pts).

They stepped on the gas and the "greens" disappeared

Kalaitzakis at the start of the second period wrote 14-28, with Hayes in the 13th minute with a double effort sending the difference to 16 for the first time (14-30). Panathinaikos had completely imposed its rhythm and was running at every opportunity to surprise, with Juancho in one of them in the 15th minute to form 16-34. Sloukas made it 16-37 with a three-pointer in the 16th minute, with Juancho again in the same way in the 17th minute, increasing the difference to 24 (16-40), with Ataman's team having a 14-2 lead in the quarter. Grigonis (10 points) in the 18th minute increased the gap even further (20-47), with Mitoglou (9 points) with 2/2 shots in the 19th minute, making it 20-49. In fact, the halftime found Panathinaikos already having finished the match, leading 20-57 and 31-6 in the quarter.

The difference remains at 40+

The "clover" did not let go of the gas even at the start of the third period, with Shorts (11pts) and Mitoglou increasing the difference to 44 points (20-64) at 22', with Ataman throwing the match and Kouzeloglou now. Bazinas and Coleman tried to somehow collect the situation and reduced it to 28-68 with Belos at 26', but Kalaitzakis at 27' with his first three-pointer writing 28-71. Panathinaikos was already with a composition of necessity, with Ataman having put Kalaitzakis in the position of playmaker, but the difference remained at 41 (36-77).

Unstoppable Panathinaikos easily reached the victory

The fourth period was obviously a standard procedure, with Ataman trying to distribute the playing time among the available players, pulling Sloukas and Juancho to the bench for some time. And so Panathinaikos was serious and continued like this until the end. Mitoglou in the 35th minute made it 44-86 with a basket and a foul, with Kouzeloglou also scoring for 47-88 in the 36th minute and now all the players have connected with the basket and Ataman's team reaches the victory with 63-96.

Ο Παναθηναϊκός με 9 παίκτες έδωσε παράσταση για ένα ημίχρονο φτάνοντας ως το +37 (20-57). Γκριγκόνις και Μήτογλου έπιασαν την ευκαιρία και ο κόσμος του τριφυλλιού που κατέκλυσε και το κλειστό της Πάτρας είδε μια ομάδα με διάθεση και ποιότητα να ισοπεδώνει τον Προμηθέα με το… φτωχό τελικά 63-96.

Το «τριφύλλι» ταξίδεψε στην Πάτρα κάτι λιγότερο από μισό, αφού είχε συνολικά 7 απουσίες (Ναν, Λεσόρ, Γκραντ, Σορτς, Ρογκαβόπουλος, Τολιόπουλος και Σαμοντούροφ), με τον Αταμάν να έχει μόλις 9 παίκτες στη διάθεσή του, αλλά να δίνει παράσταση κόντρα στον Κολοσσό και να κοιτάζει πλέον τη «διαβολοβδομάδα» στην Ισπανία κόντρα σε Μπαρτσελόνα (7/4, 21:30) και Βαλένθια (9/4, 21:45).

Βαθμολογικά το παιχνίδι ήταν αδιάφορο για τον Παναθηναϊκό, που έφτασε πλέον στο 18-5, με τον Προμηθέα να πέφτει στο 7-15.

Δυναμική και πάλι η παρουσία του κόσμου του «τριφυλλιού», που ήταν εκ νέου δίπλα στους «πράσινους» και δημιούργησε τη δική του μοναδική ατμόσφαιρα.

Πρώτος σκόρερ για τον Παναθηναϊκό ήταν ο Ντίνος Μήτογλου με 21 πόντους (6/8 διπ., 2/4 τριπ., 9 ριμπάουντ), με τον Τι Τζέι Σορτς να προσθέτει άλλους 19 (7/12 διπ., 5 ασ.). Στους 16 ο Μάριους Γκριγκόνις (5/6 διπ., 6 ασ.) και στους 12 ο Παναγιώτης Καλαϊτζάκης (4/6 διπ.).

Από την πλευρά του Προμηθέα, ξεχώρισαν οι Ντέβον Γκραντ με 18 πόντους (6/9 τριπ.) και Κένταλ Κόλμαν με 13.

Με ορεξάτους Γκριγκόνις και Σορτς σε διψήφια διαφορά ο Παναθηναϊκός 

Το παιχνίδι ξεκίνησε με τον Γκριγκόνις να έχει κέφια και με 6 πόντους, με τον Παναθηναϊκό να προηγείται με 3-8 στο 2', με τον Καλαϊτζάκη στο 4' στον αιφνιδιασμό να γράφει το 5-10. Ο Προμηθέας δεν άφησε το «τριφύλλι» να ξεφύγει περισσότερο και με σερί 4-0 έφερε το ματς στον πόντο (11-12), με τον Γκραντ στο 7' να ισοφαρίζει και την ομάδα του Αταμάν να έχει κολλήσει στην επίθεση. Τη λύση την έδωσε ο Σορτς, που με δύσκολο καλάθι κι ασίστ στον Καλαϊτζάκη έφεραν τον Παναθηναϊκό στο 14-19 στο 8'. Με το δεκάλεπτο να ολοκληρώνεται με τους «πράσινους» στο +12 (14-26) χάρη στους Γκριγκόνις (8π.) και Σορτς (7π.).

Πάτησαν το γκάζι κι εξαφανίστηκαν οι «πράσινοι»

Ο Καλαϊτζάκης με την εκκίνηση της δεύτερης περιόδου έγραψε το 14-28, με τον Χέις στο 13' με διπλή προσπάθεια να στέλνει τη διαφορά για πρώτη φορά στους 16 (14-30). Ο Παναθηναϊκός είχε επιβάλει πλήρως τον ρυθμό του και έτρεχε σε κάθε ευκαιρία στον αιφνιδιασμό, με τον Χουάντσο σε έναν εξ αυτών στο 15' να διαμορφώνει το 16-34. Ο Σλούκας στο 16' με τρίποντο έκανε το 16-37, με τον Χουάντσο και πάλι με τον ίδιο τρόπο στο 17' να εκτινάσσει τη διαφορά στους 24 (16-40), με την ομάδα του Αταμάν να έχει επιμέρους 14-2 στο δεκάλεπτο. Ο Γκριγκόνις (10π.) στο 18' αύξησε ακόμα περισσότερο την απόσταση (20-47), με τον Μήτογλου (9π.) με 2/2 βολές στο 19' να γράφει το 20-49. Το ημίχρονο μάλιστα βρήκε τον Παναθηναϊκό να έχει τελειώσει ήδη το ματς, όντας μπροστά με 20-57 και 31-6 στο δεκάλεπτο.

Σταθερά στους 40+ η διαφορά 

To «τριφύλλι» δεν άφησε το πόδι από το γκάζι ούτε στην έναρξη της τρίτης περιόδου, με τους Σορτς (11π.) και Μήτογλου να ανεβάζουν τη διαφορά και στους 44 πόντους (20-64) στο 22', με τον Αταμάν να ρίχνει το ματς και τον Κουζέλογλου πλέον. Μπαζίνας και Κόλμαν προσπάθησαν κάπως να μαζέψουν την κατάσταση και μείωσαν σε 28-68 με τον Μπέλο στο 26', αλλά τον Καλαϊτζάκη στο 27' με το πρώτο του τρίποντο να γράφει το 28-71. Ο Παναθηναϊκός ήταν ήδη με σύνθεση ανάγκης, με τον Αταμάν έχει βάλει τον Καλαϊτζάκη στη θέση του πλέι μέικερ, αλλά τη διαφορά να παραμένει στους 41 (36-77).

Ασταμάτητος Παναθηναϊκός έφτασε εύκολα στη νίκη

Η τέταρτη περίοδος ήταν προφανώς τυπική διαδικασία, με τον Αταμάν να προσπαθεί να μοιράσει τον χρόνο συμμετοχής στους διαθέσιμους παίκτες, τραβώντας εδώ και ώρα τους Σλούκα και Χουάντσο στον πάγκο. Κι έτσι όμως ο Παναθηναϊκός ήταν σοβαρός και συνέχισε έτσι μέχρι το τέλος. Ο Μήτογλου στο 35' έκανε το 44-86 με καλάθι και φάουλ, με τον Κουζέλογλου να σκοράρει κι αυτός για το 47-88 στο 36' και πλέον να έχουν συνδεθεί με το καλάθι όλοι οι παίκτες και την ομάδα του Αταμάν να φτάνει στη νίκη με το 63-96.
