Lille takes a... lead in the battle for Champions League qualification

The Ligue 1 derby for Champions League qualification for the 2026/2027 season saw Lille emerge as the big winner with a 3-0 win over Lens, in the context of the 28th matchday.

The "lilouis" managed to score at decisive points in the match, at the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second, not allowing Lens to react.

Lille now sits alone in 3rd place in the standings, leaving its current opponent in 5th place and now awaits the result of the other big match on the schedule, Monaco-Marseille (5/4).

One of the most shocking games of this year's championship preceded it, Rennes won 4-3 at the home of Brest and still hopes for the dream of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

The home team took the lead, but the visitors turned things around. They took the lead twice and with Lepol's second penalty in the 74th minute they reached the final score.

Το ντέρμπι της Ligue 1 για την έξοδο στο Champions League της σεζόν 2026/2027 ανέδειξε μεγάλη νικήτρια τη Λιλ με 3-0 επί της Λανς, στο πλαίσιο της 28ης αγωνιστικής.

Οι «λιλουά» κατάφεραν να σκοράρουν σε καθοριστικά σημεία της αναμέτρησης, στο φινάλε του πρώτου μέρους και στο ξεκίνημα του δεύτερου, μη επιτρέποντας στην Λανς να αντιδράσει.

Πλέον, η Λιλ πέρασε μόνη στην 3η θέση της βαθμολογίας, αφήνοντας στην 5η τη σημερινή της αντίπαλο και, πλέον, περιμένει το αποτέλεσμα του άλλου μεγάλου αγώνα του προγράμματος, Μονακό-Μαρσέιγ (5/4). 

Προηγήθηκε ένα από τα πιο συγκλονιστικά παιχνίδια του εφετινού πρωταθλήματος, η Ρεν έφυγε νικήτρια με 4-3 από την έδρα της Μπρεστ κι εξακολουθεί να ελπίζει στο όνειρο της εξόδου στο Champions League της επόμενης περιόδου.

Οι γηπεδούχοι προηγήθηκαν, αλλά οι φιλοξενούμενοι έφεραν τα πάνω κάτω. Πήραν το προβάδισμα δύο φορές και με το δεύτερο πέναλτι του Λεπόλ στο 74' έφτασαν στο τελικό σκορ.
