AEK - OFI 0-1

AEK had chances and goals, but OFI was more effective: thanks to a goal by Salcedo, the Cretans bravely eliminated AEK inside the OPAP Arena (0-1) and are "seeing" the final again!

The day and time did not help, so that Nea Filadelfia was suffocatingly full. A portion of the Cretans' fans were also present. In fact, they almost celebrated in the 3rd minute, when Nous "armed" from the edge of the area, but the shot stopped at Brignoli's post and there was no goal, as in the last match between them in the championship at the same minute. Enosias threatened in the 12th minute with Penrice "serving" and Jovic's header going wide. In the 16th minute, the Scottish full-back found himself in a shooting position inside the area, but the shot ended up on the outside of the net. AEK was trying to break down OFI's defense with Eliasson-Koutesa constantly cutting in and crossing without particularly troubling the Cretans who lined up with a prescription... Craiova, again and again lurking for gaps in their "pharmaceutical" counterattacks.

Kaloskami's poor finish in the 27th minute and Relvas' header in the 28th minute did not worry the steady Christogeorgos, while in the 33rd minute, Kostoulas stopped Jovic's powerful shot "face to face" with the goal! In the 38th minute, Salcedo failed to catch Nous' dangerous shot, who in the 39th minute was stopped by Brignoli, before being correctly ruled offside. In the 42nd minute, Brignoli saved Salcedo's shot, while the half ended with Jovic hitting the post in the 43rd minute, who headed in a cross from Penrice. Additionally, in the extra minute of injury time, Eliasson single-handedly scored two headers, with the first one being difficultly saved by Christogeorgos!

Returning from the locker room, the "battles" Mukundi-Salcedo (ed. tear in the Italian striker's eyebrow) and Rota-Nous maintained interest, while Marko Nikolic withdrew the 4-2-3-1 and switched to the match of Varga-Koita-Marin in the 57th minute, so that he could play with the Hungarian forward next to Jovic in a 4-4-2. The first important moment of the second half came in the 65th minute with Marin's "cannon" stopping at the intersection of the posts, the second post for AEK! In the 67th and 68th minutes, Kaloskamis tried to threaten without finding a target, while in the 76th minute, Salcedo was defeated, again, by Brignoli, temporarily keeping the "zero" in the match in a great, warning, tete a tete!

Four minutes later (80'), OFI "redeemed" itself! Salcedo scored the qualifying goal thanks to Krizmanic's steal behind the cross, the OFI central defender's "race" for many meters, giving the Italian striker, who executed ideally in Brignoli's corner for 0-1!

Η ΑΕΚ είχε ευκαιρίες και δοκάρια, αλλά ο ΟΦΗ ήταν πιο αποτελεσματικός: χάρη σε γκολ του Σαλσέδο οι Κρητικοί απέκλεισαν παλικαρίσια την ΑΕΚ μέσα στην OPAP Arena (0-1) και «βλέπουν» ξανά τελικό!

Η μέρα και η ώρα δεν βοήθησαν, ώστε να γεμίσει ασφυκτικά η Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια. Το παρόν έδωσε και μια μερίδα φίλων των Κρητικών. Μάλιστα, λίγο έλειψε να πανηγυρίσουν στο 3', όταν ο Νους «όπλισε» από τα όρια της περιοχής, αλλά το σουτ σταμάτησε στο δοκάρι του Μπρινιόλι και δεν έγινε γκολ, όπως στο τελευταίο μεταξύ τους ματς στο πρωτάθλημα στο ίδιο λεπτό. Η Ένωση απείλησε στο 12' με τον Πενράις να «σερβίρει» και την κεφαλιά του Γιόβιτς να περνά εκτός. Στο 16' ο Σκωτσέζος μπακ βρέθηκε σε θέση βολής μέσα στην περιοχή, όμως το σουτ κατέληξε στο εξωτερικό μέρος των διχτύων. Η ΑΕΚ προσπαθούσε να διασπάσει την άμυνα του ΟΦΗ με τους Ελίασον-Κουτέσα να πλαγιοκοπούν συνεχώς και να σεντράρουν δίχως να προβληματίσουν ιδιαίτερα τους Κρητικούς που παρατάχθηκαν με συνταγή... Κραϊόβα, ξανά και παραμόνευαν για κενά στις «φαρμακερές» αντεπιθέσεις τους.

Το κάκιστο τελείωμα του Καλοσκάμη στο 27' και η κεφαλιά του Ρέλβας στο 28' δεν ανησύχησαν τον σταθερό Χριστογεώργο, ενώ στο 33' ο Κωστούλας σταμάτησε το δυνατό σουτ του Γιόβιτς «φάτσα» με την εστία! Στο 38' ο Σαλσέδο δεν πρόλαβε το επικίνδυνο γύρισμα του Νους, ο οποίος στο 39' δέχθηκε το «στοπ» του Μπρινιόλι, προτού υποδεχθεί σωστά οφσάιντ. Στο 42' ο Μπρινιόλι μάζεψε το σουτ του Σαλσέδο, ενώ το ημίχρονο έκλεισε με το δοκάρι του Γιόβιτς στο 43', ο οποίος πήρε την κεφαλιά μετά τη σέντρα του Πενράις. Επιπρόσθετα, στο έξτρα λεπτό των καθυστερήσεων, ο Ελίασον έκανε ολομόναχος δυο κεφαλιές, με την πρώτη να αποκρούει δύσκολα ο Χριστογεώργος! 

Επιστρέφοντας από τα αποδυτήρια, οι «μάχες» Μουκουντί-Σαλσέδο (σ.σ. σκίσιμο στο φρύδι του Ιταλού επιθετικού) και Ρότα-Νους διατήρησαν το ενδιαφέρον, ενώ ο Μάρκο Νίκολιτς απέσυρε το 4-2-3-1 και πέρασε στο ματς τους Βάργκα-Κοϊτά-Μαρίν στο 57', ώστε να παίξει με τον Ούγγρο φορ δίπλα στον Γιόβιτς σε 4-4-2. Η πρώτη σημαντική στιγμή του δευτέρου μέρους ήλθε στο 65' με την «οβίδα» του Μαρίν να σταματά στη συμβολή των δοκών, το δεύτερο δοκάρι για την ΑΕΚ! Στο 67' και το 68' ο Καλοσκάμης δοκίμασε να απειλήσει δίχως να βρει στόχο, ενώ στο 76' ο Σαλσέδο νικήθηκε, ξανά, από τον Μπρινιόλι, κρατώντας -προσωρινά-το «μηδέν» στο ματς σε σπουδαίο, προειδοποιητικό, τετ α τετ!

Τέσσερα λεπτά αργότερα (80'), ο ΟΦΗ «λυτρώθηκε»! Ο Σαλσέδο πέτυχε το γκολ της πρόκρισης χάρη στο κλέψιμο του Κρίζμανιτς πίσω από τη σέντρα, την «κούρσα» του κεντρικού αμυντικού του ΟΦΗ για πολλά μέτρα, δίνοντας στον Ιταλό επιθετικό, ο οποίος εκτέλεσε ιδανικά στη γωνία του Μπρινιόλι για το 0-1!
