Maroussi: Agreement with Papatheodorou

Ilias Papatheodorou will be sitting on the Amaroussi bench from the new season, who found everything with the Northern Suburbs team, leaving Promitheas.

Ilias Papatheodorou will be the coach of Amaroussi in the 2025/26 season. The experienced technician found everything with the Northern Suburbs team and – unless something changes dramatically at the last minute – he will sit on the team's bench.

Papatheodorou is leaving after a two-year stint on the Promitheas bench, where, among other things, he led the team this year to 4th place in the Stoiximan GBL.

After a season with many changes of players and coaches, Maroussi turned to the solution of the former AEK coach, betting on his experience, wanting to have a better course than this year, where despite the investments made, the team was saved in the penultimate round of the playouts.

At Promitheas they are now in the market for a coach, with Giorgos Limniatis currently looking to have taken the lead in the relevant race.

Στον πάγκο του Αμαρουσίου θα κάθεται από τη νέα σεζόν ο Ηλίας Παπαθεοδώρου, ο οποίος τα βρήκε σε όλα με την ομάδα των Βορείων Προαστίων, αποχωρώντας από τον Προμηθέα.

Ο Ηλίας Παπαθεοδώρου θα είναι ο προπονητής του Αμαρουσίου την σεζόν 2025/26. Ο έμπειρος τεχνικός τα βρήκε σε όλα με την ομάδα των Βορείων Προαστίων και – αν δεν αλλάξει κάτι δραματικά την τελευταία στιγμή – θα κάθεται στον πάγκο της ομάδας.

Ο Παπαθεοδώρου αποχωρεί έτσι έπειτα από μία διετία που βρέθηκε στον πάγκο του Προμηθέα, όπου μεταξύ άλλων οδήγησε την ομάδα φέτος στην κατάκτηση της 4ης θέσης στην Stoiximan GBL.

Έπειτα από μία σεζόν με πολλές αλλαγές παικτών και προπονητών, το Μαρούσι στράφηκε στην λύση του άλλοτε προπονητή της ΑΕΚ, ποντάρονας στην εμπειρία του, θέλοντας να έχει καλύτερη πορεία από ότι φέτος, όπου παρά τις επενδύσεις που έγιναν, η ομάδα σώθηκε την προτελευταία αγωνιστική των playouts.

Στον Προμηθέα πλέον βρίσκονται στην αγορά για προπονητή, με τον Γιώργο Λιμνιάτη να μοιάζει αυτή τη στιγμή να έχει πάρει κεφάλι στην σχετική κούρσα.
