Al Hilal announced that they will part ways with Jorge Jesus, who had taken over as their technical leader in 2023.

Jorge Jesus is a thing of the past from the Al Hilal bench, as the Saudi Arabian club announced. The two sides decided to end their cooperation by mutual consent, a few days after the team was eliminated in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions League by Al Ahly.

The 70-year-old coach had taken charge of Al Hilal in July 2023 and led them to a historic series of 34 consecutive victories, a world record number, even winning the 19th championship in Saudi Arabia with the Riyadh team. However, this season the team is six points away from the top, with five matches remaining. The Portuguese coach has sat on their bench for 99 games during this period.

Mohamed Al-Salloub is temporarily taking over the technical leadership, while local media report that before the match against Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, a new coach will have been hired. Let us recall that the Iberian coach is one of the names that were heard for the Brazilian national team, along with Carlo Ancelotti.

Η Αλ Χιλάλ ανακοίνωσε ότι θα τραβήξει χωριστούς δρόμους με τον Ζορζέ Ζεσούς, ο οποίος είχε αναλάβει την τεχνική της ηγεσία το 2023.

Ο Ζορζέ Ζεσούς αποτελεί παρελθόν από τον πάγκο της Αλ Χιλάλ, όπως ανακοίνωσε ο σύλλογος της Σαουδικής Αραβίας. Οι δύο πλευρές αποφάσισαν να λύσουν τη συνεργασία τους κοινή συναινέσει, λίγες ημέρες μετά τον αποκλεισμό της ομάδας στα ημιτελικά του Champions League Ασίας από την Αλ Αχλί.

Ο 70χρονος προπονητής είχε αναλάβει την Αλ Χιλάλ τον Ιούλιο του 2023 και την οδήγησε σε ένα ιστορικό σερί 34 συνεχόμενων νικών, αριθμός-ρεκόρ σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, κατακτώντας μάλιστα το 19ο πρωτάθλημα στη Σαουδική Αραβία με την ομάδα του Ριάντ. Ωστόσο, τη φετινή σεζόν η ομάδα βρίσκεται σε απόσταση έξι βαθμών από την κορυφή, με πέντε αγωνιστικές να απομένουν. Ο Πορτογάλος τεχνικός κάθισε στον πάγκο τους για 99 παιχνίδια μέσα στο διάστημα αυτό.

Την τεχνική ηγεσία αναλαμβάνει προσωρινά ο Μοχάμεντ Αλ-Σαλούμπ, ενώ τα τοπικά Μέσα αναφέρουν πως πριν την αναμέτρηση με τη Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης στο Μουντιάλ Συλλόγων, θα έχει προσληφθεί νέος προπονητής. Να θυμίσουμε ότι ο Ίβηρας προπονητής είναι ένα από τα ονόματα που ακούγονταν για την εθνική Βραζιλίας, μαζί με τον Κάρλο Αντσελότι.
