Dewan Hernandez was born on December 9, 1996 and hails from the United States. He sees the world from 209 cm and plays as a Center. He started his career with the Miami Hurricanes in the US College Championship and stayed with them for two seasons (2016-18). In the summer of 2019, he was drafted by the Toronto Raptors, thus receiving the "anointing" to play in the NBA, while in the 2020-21 seasons he competed in the G League with the Raptors 905 and the Rio Grande Villey Vipers. In the 2021-22 season he moved to Europe for the first time, on behalf of Hapoel Tel Aviv, while in the same season he played in the G League with the Westchester Knicks and in Puerto Rico for the Vaqueros De Bayamon. In the 2022-23 season in China and the Ningbo Rockets, while the last team in his career before Prometheus was the Cangrejeros de Santurce, in which he recorded very good numbers, with 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds. In addition, he has been an international player with Team USA in games for the "windows" of FIBA, as part of the World Basketball qualifiers.

Ο Αμερικανός σέντερ ήρθε για να καλύψει το κενό που άφησε ο Τζάστιν Ντελόριε που απουσιάζει λόγω τραυματισμού και θα συμπληρώσει την frontline των Πατρινών.

Ο Χερνάντεζ στο παρελθόν είχε βρεθεί και στο στόχαστο της ΑΕΚ Betsson, χωρίς ωστόσο οι δύο πλευρές να προχωρήσουν σε συμφωνία.

Ο Dewan Hernandez γεννήθηκε στις 9 Δεκεμβρίου του 1996 και κατάγεται από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Βλέπει τον κόσμο από τα 209 εκατοστά και αγωνίζεται ως Center. Ξεκίνησε την καριέρα του από τους Miami Hurricanes στο Κολλεγιακό Πρωτάθλημα των ΗΠΑ και έμεινε σε αυτούς για δύο σεζόν (2016-18).
