Belgian Grand Prix: Carlos Sainz took pole position
Max Verstappen made only one attempt in Q3 and "wrote" the fastest lap easily at Spa, but the engine change penalty dropped him out of the top ten and brought second Saint to pole, ahead of Perez.
He knew it beforehand. He knew that due to changes in engine parts and exceeding the number of available power units, he would start from far back. It was a given.
Nevertheless, Max Verstappen decided to get into a YOLO mood and with an amazing lap in Q3 he took the pole position in a walk, so for the race c@moto, leaving more than 6 tenths behind the leader in the last attempt, and frustrated, Carlos Sainz.
The Spaniard, if only due to... luck, will therefore be the poleman at Spa, with Sergio Perez next to him on the front row, who also made a mistake in his penultimate timed lap, especially if we consider the speed of Red Bull in the Belgium.

*** Grand Prix Βελγίου: Ο Κάρλος Σάινθ πήρε την pole position
Ο Μαξ Φερστάπεν έκανε μόνο μία προσπάθεια στο Q3 και «έγραψε» τον ταχύτερο γύρο πανεύκολα στο Σπα, όμως η ποινή γι' αλλαγή κινητήρα τον έριξε εκτός δεκάδας και έφερε στην pole τον δεύτερο Σάινθ, μπροστά από τον Πέρεζ.
Το ήξερε εκ των προτέρων. Το γνώριζε πως λόγω αλλαγών σε μέρη του κινητήρα και υπέρβαση του αριθμού διαθέσιμων power units, θα εκκινούσε από πολύ πίσω. Ήταν δεδομένο.
Παρ' όλ' αυτά, ο Μαξ Φερστάπεν αποφάσισε να μπει σε mood YOLO και με έναν εκπληκτικό γύρο στο Q3 πήρε δια περιπάτου την pole position, έτσι για το αγωνιστικό γ@μώτο, αφήνοντας πάνω από 6 δέκατα πίσω του τον απογητευτικό στην τελευταία προσπάθεια, και απογοητευμένο, Κάρλος Σάινθ.
Ο Ισπανός, έστω και λόγω... τύχης, θα είναι λοιπόν ο poleman στο Σπα, έχοντας δίπλα του στην πρώτη σειρά τον Σέρχιο Πέρες, ο οποίος επίσης τα έκανε μαντάρα στον ακροτελεύτιο χρονομετρημένο γύρο του, ιδίως αν αναλογιστούμε την ταχύτητα της Ρεντ Μπουλ στο Βέλγιο.
