Liverpool: Equalizes Premier League hold record with 83% against Everton
Liverpool's universal dominance on the grass of "Anfield" against Everton resulted in equalizing the record of possession of a ball in a Premier League match, with the "deafening", for a derby, 83%!
"Liverpool - Everton" was written on the "papers" and on the matrix screen. In terms of performance, approach and overall appearance, however, the Merseyside derby just did not look like a derby. Rather, it was like a fight between the title contender and a relegation candidate, as Everton has come to be considered finally with Frank Lampard at the helm. And this image was emphatically reflected in the possession percentage of both teams, with the Reds exceeding 80% in both halves and in the final to equal the all-time record of the Premier League!
Jürgen Klopp's players had complete dominance on the grass, a dominance, however, that for just over an hour of play they had not been able to take advantage of. Nevertheless, the Reds went to the break with the "deafening" 86% and fluctuated at the same levels in the rest of the match, before and after Robertson's goal for 1-0.
Conter finally scored 83% according to the authoritative "BBC" (82.7% in particular), a performance that is rounded to the top in the history of the Premier League, together with that of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in a victory over Swansea with 5-0 in April 2018.
Liverpool recorded a possession figure of 82.7% today. Only Manchester City [83% vs Swansea in April 2018] have recorded a higher such figure in a Premier League game since Opta started collecting this data [2003/2004], as per @OptaJoe Liverpool's highest amount of possession in a Premier League game since 2016/17:

Η καθολική κυριαρχία της Λίβερπουλ στο χορτάρι του «Άνφιλντ» κόντρα στην Έβερτον είχε ως αποτέλεσμα να ισοφαρίσει το ρεκόρ κατοχής μπάλας σε έναν αγώνα Premier League, με το «εκκωφαντικό», για ντέρμπι, 83%!
Στα «χαρτιά» και στην οθόνη των matrix έγραφε «Λίβερπουλ - Έβερτον». Βάσει απόδοσης, προσέγγισης και συνολικής εμφάνισης, όμως, το ντέρμπι του Μέρσεϊσαϊντ μόνο ντέρμπι δεν έμοιαζε. Περισσότερο, έμοιαζε με έναν αγώνα ανάμεσα στη διεκδικήτρια του τίτλου και μια υποψήφια για υποβιβασμό, όπως έχει φτάσει να θεωρείται εσχάτως η Έβερτον με τον Φρανκ Λάμπαρντ στο τιμόνι. Και αυτή η εικόνα αποτυπώθηκε εμφατικά στο ποσοστό κατοχής των δύο ομάδων, με τους Reds να ξεπερνούν το 80% και στα δύο ημίχρονα και στο φινάλε να ισοφαρίζουν το all-time ρεκόρ της Premier League!
Οι παίκτες του Γιούργκεν Κλοπ είχαν την απόλυτη κυριαρχία στο χορτάρι, κυριαρχία, πάντως, που για κάτι παραπάνω από μία ώρα αγώνα δεν είχαν καταφέρει να εκμεταλλευτούν. Παρ' όλα αυτά, οι Reds πήγαν στην ανάπαυλα με το «εκκωφαντικό» 86% και κυμάνθηκαν στα ίδια επίπεδα και στο υπόλοιπο του αγώνα, πριν και μετά το γκολ του Ρόμπερτσον για το 1-0.
Το κοντέρ έγραψε τελικά 83% σύμφωνα με το έγκυρο «BBC» (82,7% συγκεκριμένα), επίδοση που στρογγυλοποιημένα είναι η κορυφαία στην ιστορία της Premier League, από κοινού με εκείνη της Μάντσεστερ Σίτι του Πεπ Γκουαρδιόλα σε μία νίκη επί της Σουόνσι με 5-0 τον Απρίλιο του 2018.
