Andrea Trinkieri has signed a new two-year contract with Bayern Munich
The 52-year-old Italian coach in his first season led the Munich team for the first time in its history to the Euroleague playoffs, where he was eliminated in five matches by Armani Milano.
In the championship he lost the title in the finals to Alba Berlin, however he won the German Cup.
"Our course this year brought his signature and we are glad that he signed until 2023. With his help we are convinced that we can achieve our goals in the Euroleague and in Germany", stressed the president of the Bavarian team, Herbert Heiner.

Νέο διετές συμβόλαιο με την Μπάγερν Μονάχου υπέγραψε ο Αντρέα Τρινκιέρι
Ο 52χρονος Ιταλός προπονητής στην πρώτη του σεζόν οδήγησε την ομάδα του Μονάχου για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία της στα playoffs της Ευρωλίγκας, όπου αποκλείστηκε σε πέντε ματς από την Αρμάνι Μιλάνο.
Στο πρωτάθλημα έχασε τον τίτλο στους τελικούς από την Άλμπα Βερολίνου, ωστόσο κατέκτησε το Κύπελλο Γερμανίας.
«Η πορεία μας φέτος έφερε την υπογραφή του και χαιρόμαστε που υπέγραψε ως το 2023. Με τη βοήθειά του είμαστε πεπεισμένοι πως μπορούμε να πετύχουμε τους στόχους μας στην Ευρωλίγκα και στη Γερμανία», τόνισε ο πρόεδρος της βαυαρικής ομάδας, Χέρμπερτ Χάινερ.
