Despite winning the Portuguese League Cup, Nelson Oliveira found himself in the spotlight for a negative reason, completing the final with tension and expulsion.

On Saturday night (10/1), Vitoria Guimaraes prevailed 2-1 over Braga in the League Cup final, with the former AEK and PAOK striker celebrating his second title on Portuguese soil.

The 34-year-old started the match and was substituted in the 78th minute, having an overall good image on the field. However, what followed in the final overshadowed his presence.

While on the bench, Oliveira was sent off with a red card by the referee of the final for inappropriate behavior. According to Portuguese reports, the experienced forward got into a heated verbal altercation with members of the Braga bench, and then proceeded to make gestures towards the fans.

Despite the efforts of his teammates to calm him down, Oliveira continued to protest strongly towards the stands, as recorded in the relevant video.

Παρά την κατάκτηση του Λιγκ Καπ Πορτογαλίας, ο Νέλσον Ολιβέιρα βρέθηκε στο επίκεντρο για αρνητικό λόγο, ολοκληρώνοντας τον τελικό με ένταση και αποβολή.

Το βράδυ του Σαββάτου (10/1), η Βιτόρια Γκιμαράες επικράτησε με 2-1 της Μπράγκα στον τελικό του Λιγκ Καπ, με τον πρώην επιθετικό των ΑΕΚ και ΠΑΟΚ να πανηγυρίζει τον δεύτερο τίτλο του επί πορτογαλικού εδάφους.

Ο 34χρονος ξεκίνησε βασικός στην αναμέτρηση και αντικαταστάθηκε στο 78ο λεπτό, έχοντας συνολικά καλή εικόνα στον αγωνιστικό χώρο. Ωστόσο, όσα ακολούθησαν στο φινάλε επισκίασαν την παρουσία του.

Καθώς βρισκόταν στον πάγκο, ο Ολιβέιρα αποβλήθηκε με κόκκινη κάρτα από τον διαιτητή του τελικού, λόγω ανάρμοστης συμπεριφοράς. Σύμφωνα με πορτογαλικά δημοσιεύματα, ο έμπειρος φορ ενεπλάκη σε έντονη λεκτική αντιπαράθεση με μέλη του πάγκου της Μπράγκα, ενώ στη συνέχεια προχώρησε και σε χειρονομίες προς τους φιλάθλους.

Παρά τις προσπάθειες των συμπαικτών του να τον ηρεμήσουν, ο Ολιβέιρα συνέχισε να διαμαρτύρεται έντονα προς την εξέδρα, όπως καταγράφεται και στο σχετικό βίντεο.
