MotoGP, Netherlands: Historic 1-2-3-4 for Aprilia with Martin on pole

Aprilia's Jorge Martin was the star of the battle for pole position at the MotoGP Assen, with a historic performance for the Italian factory.

The qualifying sessions for the Dutch Grand Prix for the MotoGP world championship proved to be extremely exciting and historic. For the first time in its MotoGP history, Aprilia occupied the first four starting positions for the two races that followed.

Jorge Martin was the rider who took pole position with an excellent time at the end of Q2. The Spaniard stopped the clocks in 1:30.812 and took his first pole since the 2024 Australian GP. Second was Trackhouse Racing's Ai Ogura, who was just 0.011 seconds off the top.

Marco Bezzecchi will start from 3rd place, 0.033 seconds behind his teammate, while Raul Fernandez lost pole position for violating track limits.

Q1

The riders took to the track for their first passes. In the 15-minute process, there was no clear favorite, with several riders aiming to qualify.

After the first timed laps, two riders on Honda motorcycles were at the top. First was Joan Mir with a time of 1:31.315 and second was Diogo Moreira.

In the last minutes, Quartararo surprised everyone and climbed to the top of the times with a time of 1:31.271. Morbidelli showed that he has the speed to qualify together with the Yamaha rider, but he made a very bad last sector and remained 3rd. So together with Quartararo, Mir qualified for Q2.

Q2

The second 15 minutes started with the riders taking to the track for their first attempts. Everyone expected the Aprilia riders to be in a leading role and this was immediately confirmed.

Bezzekhi wrote 1:30.853 and was in 1st place, with Raul Fernandez following him just 0.073 seconds behind. Martin was 3rd, while M. Marquez was 11th as he violated the track limits twice.

The last attempts started with Banaia making a very competitive time in 3rd place. But Martin took down the fastest and temporarily moved up to 1st. R. Fernandez was the one who knocked Martin off the top, but lost pole position as he violated the track limits. At the same time, his teammate, Ogura, took 2nd place, with Martin on pole and Bezzek only 3rd.

They were followed by R. Fernandez, Banaia, Di Gianantonio, M. Marquez, Acosta, Quartararo, Mir, Bastianini and A. Marquez.

Ο Χόρχε Μαρτίν της Aprilia ήταν ο πρωταγωνιστής στη μάχη της pole position του MotoGP Άσεν, με μία ιστορική εμφάνιση για το ιταλικό εργοστάσιο.

Οι κατατακτήριες δοκιμές του Grand Prix Ολλανδίας για το παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα MotoGP αποδείχθηκαν άκρως συναρπαστικές και είχαν ιστορικό χαρακτήρα. Για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία της στο MotoGP η Aprilia κατέλαβε τις τέσσερις πρώτες θέσεις της εκκίνησης για τους δύο αγώνες που ακολουθούν.

Ο Χόρχε Μαρτίν ήταν ο αναβάτης που πήρε την pole position με έναν εξαιρετικό χρόνο στο τέλος του Q2. O Ισπανός σταμάτησε τα χρονόμετρα στο 1:30,812 και πήρε την πρώτη του pole μετά το GP Αυστραλίας του 2024. Δεύτερος ήταν ο Άι Ογκούρα της Trackhouse Racing, o οποίος ήταν μόλις 0,011 δλ μακριά από την κορυφή.

Από την 3η θέση της εκκίνησης θα ξεκινήσει ο Μάρκο Μπετζέκι, ο οποίος βρέθηκε 0,033 δλ μακριά από τον teammate του, ενώ ο Ραούλ Φερνάντεθ έχασε την pole position για παραβίαση ορίων πίστας.

Q1

Οι αναβάτες βγήκαν στην πίστα για τα πρώτα τους περάσματα. Στη 15λεπτη διαδικασία δεν υπήρχε ξεκάθαρο φαβορί, με αρκετούς αναβάτες να έχουν βλέψεις πρόκρισης.

Μετά τους πρώτους χορνομετρημένους γύρους στην κορυφή ήταν δύο αναβάτες με μοτοσικλέτα της Honda. Πρώτος ήταν ο Τζοάν Μιρ με το 1:31,315 και δεύτερος ήταν ο Ντιόγκο Μορέιρα.

Στα τελευταία λεπτά ο Κουαρταραρό έκανε την έκπληξη και με το 1:31,271 σκαρφάλωσε στην κορυφή των χρόνων. Ο Μορμπιντέλι έδειχνε πως έχει την ταχύτητα να προκριθεί μαζί με τον αναβάτη της Yamaha, όμως έκανε ένα πολύ κακό τελευταίο σέκτορ και έμεινε 3ος. Έτσι μαζί με τον Κουαρταραρό προκρίθηκε στο Q2 o Μιρ.

Q2

Το δεύτερο 15λεπτο ξεκίνησε με τους αναβάτες να βγαίνουν στην πίστα για τις πρώτες τους προσπάθειες. Άπαντε περίμεναν τους αναβάτες της Aprilia να είναι σε πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο και αυτό επιβεβαιώθηκε άμεσα.

Ο Μπετζέκι έγραψε το 1:30,853 και ήταν στην 1η θέση, με τον Ραούλ Φερνάντεθ να τον ακολουθεί μόλις 0,073 δλ πίσω. Ο Μαρτίν ήταν 3ος, ενώ ο Μ. Μάρκεθ ήταν 11ος καθώς παραβίασε δύο φορές τα όρια πίστας.

Οι τελευταίες προσπάθειες ξεκίνησαν με τον Μπανάια να κάνει έναν πολύ ανταγωνιστικό χρόνο στην 3η θέση. Όμως ο Μαρτίν κατέβασε τον ταχύτερο και ανέβηκε προσωρινά 1ος. Ο Ρ. Φερνάντεθ ήταν αυτός που έριξε τον Μαρτίν από την κορυφή, όμως έχασε την pole καθώς παραβίασε τα όρια πίστας. Την ίδια ώρα ο teammate του, Ογκούρα, πήρε τη 2η θέση, με τον Μαρτίν στην pole και τον Μπετζέκι μόλις 3ο.

Ακολούθησαν οι Ρ. Φερνάντεθ, Μπανάια, Ντι Τζιαναντόνιο, Μ. Μάρκεθ, Ακόστα, Κουαρταραρό, Μιρ, Μπαστιανίνι και Α. Μάρκεθ.
