Strazel at 1:50 to the end with 2/2 shots made it 78-74, with players from both teams missing afterwards, but Okobo at 10" threw the winning shot to Villeurbanne for the final 81-76.

Η Μονακό μπορεί να είναι μισή, να έχει τόσα προβλήματα να αντιμετωπίσει, αλλά είναι ακόμα ζωντανή και στο κυνήγι της 10άδας, επικρατώντας της Βιλερμπάν με 81-76!
Η ομάδα του Μάνουτσαρ Μαρκοϊσβίλι κάνει τη δική της προσπάθεια και παρά τις αντιξοότητες συνεχίζει να είναι εντός 10άδας, έχοντας μπροστά της δύο τελικούς κόντρα σε Μπαρτσελόνα και Χάποελ Τελ Αβίβ στο Πριγκιπάτο για να είναι στα play in.
Η Μονακό πήρε τον γαλλικό «εμφύλιο» απέναντι στη Βιλερμπάν, που της έβαλε δύσκολα, έφτασε στο 20-16 και τα δίνει όλα για να βρεθεί στα πλέι οφ. Στο 8-28 η ομάδα του Πουπέ.
Μάχη Στραζέλ και Χάρισον και σχεδόν όλα τα ίσα
Ο Στραζέλ ήταν ο πρωταγωνιστής της εκκίνησης του ματς, έχοντας 2 τρίποντα, με τη Μονακό να προηγείται με 7-2 στο 3', αλλά το παιχνίδι να αλλάζει εικόνα στη συνέχεια. Η Βιλερμπάν είδε τον Χάρισον να παίρνει προσπάθειες και να φτάνει τους 11 πόντους, με τους φιλοξενούμενους να γυρίζουν το σκορ και να περνούν μπροστά με 8-15 στο 6'. Ο Στραζέλ ήταν η σίγουρη λύση των γηπεδούχων και με 2/2 βολές στο 7' έκανε το 12-17, με τον Γάλλο άσο να σημαίνει την αντεπίθεση και τη Μονακό στο 8' να προηγείται με 18-17, τρέχοντας σερί 8-0. Το τέλος του δεκαλέπτου βρήκε μπροστά τη Μονακό με 22-21, με τους γηπεδούχους να αλλάζουν εικόνα αφού ο Τζέιμς έκατσε στον πάγκο.
Επέβαλε τον ρυθμό της η Μονακό και πήρε διψήφια διαφορά
Με την έναρξη της δεύτερης περιόδου ο Έμπουα έβαλε μπροστά τη Βιλερμπάν με 22-23, με τον Μίροτιτς να εμφανίζεται κάπου εκεί, να γίνεται διψήφιος (11π.) και να δίνει «αέρα» 3 πόντων στη Μονακό με 29-26. Ο Μπεγκαρίν με τρίποντο στο 14' έγραψε το 35-29, με τον Οκόμπο με δύσκολο καλάθι στον αιφνιδιασμό να πηγαίνει τους γηπεδούχους στο +8 (37-29). Ο Ντιαλό στο 16' με 1/2 βολές διαμόρφωσε το 38-29, με τη Βιλερμπάν να έχει κολλήσει στην επίθεση και τη Μονακό να έχει βρει ρυθμό. Ο Οκόμπο μάλιστα στο 18' έκανε το 44-31, με το ημίχρονο να κλείνει στο 46-36.
Σταθερά μπροστά και σε απόσταση οι Μονεγάσκοι
Η ομάδα του Πουπέ στην εκκίνηση της τρίτης περιόδου προσπάθησε να μπει και πάλι στο παιχνίδι και στηρίχτηκε στον Χάρισον, που αρχικά με τρίποντο μείωσε σε 48-39, για να κάνει με τον ίδιο τρόπο (20π., 5/6 τριπ.) το 50-43 στο 24'. Χέις και Τζέιμς όμως έβαλαν «στοπ» στην αντεπίθεση της Βιλερμπάν κι ανέβασαν και πάλι τη διαφορά στους 11 (54-43) στο 25'. Ο Οκόμπο έκανε πολύ ώριμο παιχνίδι (10π., 7 ριμπ., 5 ασ.) και στο 28' έστειλε εκ νέου τη Μονακό στους 13 (60-47), με τον Στραζέλ στο 29' να πηγαίνει τους γηπεδούχους για πρώτη φορά στο +15 (62-47) και να δίνει καθαρό προβάδισμα στην ομάδα του Μαρκοϊσβίλι. Ωστόσο η Βιλερμπάν με σερί 5-0 και πρωταγωνιστή τον Ανγκόλα (13π.) μείωσε σε 64-54 στο τέλος του δεκαλέπτου.
Είναι μισή, αλλά είναι ακόμα ζωντανή!
Ο Ανγκόλα είχε πάρει φόρα και μαζί με τον Τζάκσον με δύο σερί τρίποντα έβαλαν «φωτιά» στο ματς, αφού έφεραν τους φιλοξενούμενους στο -4 (64-60), βάζοντας νέα συνθήκη στην αναμέτρηση. Ο Μπεγκαρίν έδωσε λύσεις στη Μονακό και με 4 συνεχόμενους πόντους στο 33' έκανε το 68-60, με τον Ανγκόλα (20π.) να το έχει πάρει προσωπικά και με προσωπικό 4-0 να διαμορφώνει το 68-64 στο 34'. Ο Οκόμπο με τρίποντο έδωσε ανάσα στη Μονακό (70-64), με τον Στραζέλ να πηγαίνει και πάλι την ομάδα του Μαρκοϊσβίλι στο +8 (72-64). Έμπουα και Χάρισον (22π.) όμως κράτησαν ζωντανή τη Βιλερμπάν και μείωσαν σε 74-68 στο 37', με τον ασταμάτητο Ανγκόλα (26π., 4/7 τριπ.) με δύο σερί τρίποντα να φέρνει τους φιλοξενούμενους σε απόσταση βολής (76-74) στο 38'! Ο Στραζέλ στο 1:50 για τη λήξη με 2/2 βολές έκανε το 78-74, με τους παίκτες και των δύο ομάδων να είναι άστοχοι στη συνέχεια, αλλά τον Οκόμπο στα 10" να ρίχνει τη χαριστική βολή στη Βιλερμπάν για το τελικό 81-76.
