Efes was constantly chasing the score at Bayern Munich's home ground, but they fought back and finally managed to take the victory with 81-80, thanks to a buzzer-beater three-pointer by Swinder!
Efes escaped with a thriller victory from Munich!
Despite being chasing the score since the first period of their away match against Bayern, Pablo Laso's team found a way to fight back and finally take the marginal victory with 81-80, having Swinder as the hero at the last minute, who hit a buzzer-beater three-pointer in the final!
Thus, Efes returned to positive results after consecutive defeats against Red Star and Villeurbanne, but despite improving its record to 10-21, it remains far from the top ten. On the other hand, Bayern fell to 13-18.
The winner was led by Lloyd (20 points), while Dozier (12 points), Hazer (11 points) and Osmani (10 points, 6 rebounds) also scored in double figures, while Ratan-Meis (15 points) and Obst (13 points) stood out for the home team.
The match began with Bayern's players stepping on the court better and leading 12-4, while Efes responded with consecutive baskets by Desert and Lloyd, to reduce the deficit to 12-9. Ratan-Mes made it 17-11 with a three-pointer and Yilmaz immediately responded for 17-14, which was the result at the end of the first period.
The guests tied the score with a three-pointer from Osmani and Mike answered for 20-17, with Bayern finding rhythm on both sides of the court, to build a 10-1 run in their favor and escape for the first time with a double-digit difference (30-18). Schmitz and Hazer reduced it to 30-24, while Bayern closed the first half having gained a 13-point difference for the first time (39-26).
The third period started with consecutive three-pointers from Obst and Lloyd, while Efes managed to get closer to 46-41, but Bayern continued to find solutions, staying ahead in the score. Obst and McCormack made it 53-43, while Saben Lee was the one who scored for 58-53, at the end of the quarter.
The derby continued in the fourth period, with Efes coming back in the last minutes and with Lloyd reducing it to 80-78 with a follow, before Swinder came to hit the buzzer-beater three-pointer and make the final 80-81!

Η Εφές κυνηγούσε συνεχώς στο σκορ στην έδρα της Μπάγερν Μονάχου, όμως αντεπιτέθηκε και τελικά κατάφερε να πάρει τη νίκη με 81-80, χάρη σε ένα buzzer-beater τρίποντο του Σουίντερ!

Παρότι κυνηγούσε στο σκορ από την πρώτη περίοδο της εκτός έδρας αναμέτρησής της με την Μπάγερν, η ομάδα του Πάμπλο Λάσο βρήκε τον τρόπο να αντεπιτεθεί και τελικά να πάρει την οριακή νίκη με 81-80, έχοντας για ήρωα την τελευταίας στιγμής τον Σουίντερ, ο οποίος ευστόχησε σε buzzer-beater τρίποντο στο φινάλε!
Έτσι, η Εφές επέστρεψε στα θετικά αποτελέσματα μετά από τις διαδοχικές ήττες της κόντρα σε Ερυθρό Αστέρα και Βιλερμπάν, όμως παρότι βελτίωσε το ρεκόρ της σε 10-21, παραμένει μακριά από τη δεκάδα. Από την άλλη, η Μπάγερν έπεσε στο 13-18.
Κορυφαίος για τους νικητές ήταν ο Λόιντ (20π), ενώ διψήφιοι ήταν επίσης οι Ντόζιερ (12π), Χαζέρ (11π) και Οσμάνι (10π, 6 ριμπ), ενώ για τους γηπεδούχους ξεχώρισαν Ράταν-Μέις (15π) και Ομπστ (13π).
Η αναμέτρηση ξεκίνησε με τους παίκτες της Μπάγερν να πατούν καλύτερα στο παρκέ και να προηγούνται με 12-4, ενώ η Εφές απάντησε με σερί καλάθια των Ντέσερτ και Λόιντ, για να μειώσει σε 12-9. Ο Ράταν-Μέις με τρίποντό του έκανε το 17-11 και ο Γιλμάζ απάντησε άμεσα για το 17-14, που ήταν και το αποτέλεσμα στη λήξη της πρώτης περιόδου.
Οι φιλοξενούμενοι ισοφάρισαν με ένα τρίποντο του Οσμάνι και ο Μάικ απάντησε για το 20-17, με την Μπάγερν να βρίσκει ρυθμό στις δύο πλευρές του παρκέ, για να φτιάξει υπέρ της σερί 10-1 και να ξεφύγει για πρώτη φορά με διψήφια διαφορά (30-18). Σμιτς και Χαζέρ μείωσαν σε 30-24, ενώ η Μπάγερν έκλεισε το πρώτο ημίχρονο έχοντας πάρει για πρώτη φορά διαφορά 13ών πόντων (39-26).
Η τρίτη περίοδος ξεκίνησε με συνεχόμενα εύστοχα τρίποντα από Ομπστ και Λόιντ, ενώ η Εφές κατάφερε να πλησιάσει μέχρι το 46-41, όμως η Μπάγερν συνέχισε να βρίσκει τις λύσεις, παραμένοντας μπροστά στο σκορ. Ομπστ και ΜακΚόρμακ διαμόρφωσαν το 53-43, ενώ ο Σέιμπεν Λι ήταν εκείνος που σκόραρε για το 58-53, στη λήξη του δεκαλέπτου.
Το ντέρμπι συνεχίστηκε και στην τέταρτη περίοδο, με την Εφές να επιστρέφει στα τελευταία λεπτά και με τον Λόιντ να μειώνει σε 80-78 με follow, πριν έρθει ο Σουίντερ για να ευστοχήσει στο buzzer-beater τρίποντο και να διαμορφώσει το τελικό 80-81!
