The match

Partizan's start, and Bruno Fernando in particular, was very strong. The center of the Serbian team started with 4/4 two-pointers early in the game and put the guests ahead 5-10. The home team's response came through Horton-Tucker, who came off the bench and gave his team a 17-13 lead. Ψύχραιμοι οι γηπεδούχοι που ήταν αλάνθαστοι στις τελευταίες βολές της αναμέτρησης.

Φοβερή ήταν η επιστροφή του Κάρλικ Τζόουνς στη δράση, ο οποίος έπαιξε για πρώτη φορά μετά την 5η αγωνιστική και είχε 17 πόντους (5/7 δίποντα, 7/7 βολές), 3 ριμπάουντ και 4 ασίστ.

Ο αγώνας

Το ξεκίνημα της Παρτίζαν και συγκεκριμένα του Μπρούνο Φερνάντο ήταν πολύ δυνατό. Ο σέντερ της σερβικής ομάδας ξεκίνησε με 4/4 δίποντα νωρίς στο παιχνίδι και έβαλε τους φιλοξενούμενους μπροστά με 5-10. Η απάντηση των γηπεδούχων ήρθε δια χειρός Χόρτον-Τάκερ ο οποίος ήρθε από τον πάγκο και έδωσε αέρα στην ομάδα του για το 17-13. Οι παίκτες του Πενιαρόγια επέμειναν και προηγήθηκαν ξανά 18-20 με την πρώτη περίοδο να ολοκληρώνεται με το σκορ ισόπαλο (20-20).

Η Παρτίζαν συνέχισε να είναι πολύ καλή στην άμυνα δημιουργώντας προβλήματα στους γηπεδούχους. Οι παίκτες του Γιασικέβιτσιους έμειναν για ώρα χωρίς επιθετικές λύσεις και πήγαν στα αποδυτήρια πίσω στο σκορ (35-39).

Στην τρίτη περίοδο εμφανίστηκε ο Γουέιντ Μπάλντουιν, που μέχρι εκείνη την ώρα είχε σιγήσει. Έτσι παίρνοντας τη σκυτάλη από τον Χόρτον-Τάκερ οδήγησε την τουρκική ομάδα σε νέο προβάδισμά (57-56) πριν οι δύο ομάδες μπουν στο τελευταίο δεκάλεπτο.
