At the same time, this was also the first victory of Joan Penaroya on the bench of the Serbs, who rose to 7-16, while on the other hand, the Bavarians fell to 8-15.
The two teams started the match sluggishly, with several missed shots. It is characteristic that after about five minutes of play the score was still at 5-6. Somewhere there the guests found a rhythm and quickly increased the difference to +13 (5-18) with Calathes, while the period score was 7-18.
In the second 10 minutes the Bavarians "woke up" and gradually reduced the difference, with Partizan no longer finding so many solutions offensively. Initially Jessup with a three-pointer reduced it to 15-21 and by the end of the period the Germans brought the match to the basket (32-34).
The same scenario continued in the 3rd period, with Svetislav Pesic's team tying at 41-41 and finally going ahead with McCormack (43-41). The Serbs found the answers and went ahead again (46-48) and finally the quarter ended with the two teams tied (50-50).
At the start of the last quarter, Bayern went ahead again (54-50), however Paine and Calathes put the Belgrade team in a leading position again (54-55) and set the match on fire. The home team never managed to find answers, Partizan increased the difference (58-63) and finally reached the victory with a score of 63-67.

Μετά από επτά σερί ήττες, η Παρτιζάν με τον σούπερ Κάμερον Πέιν (16 π.) έβαλε τέλος στο πολύ κακό σερί της με νίκη επί της Μπάγερν στο Μόναχο με σκορ 63-67.
Σε ένα ματς για... κολλύρια, με πολύ χαμηλό σκορ και πολλά χαμένα σουτ, η Παρτιζάν έβγαλε σφυγμό, πήρε τη νίκη επί της Μπάγερν Μονάχου με σκορ 63-67 και επέστρεψε στις νίκες μετά από επτά σερί ήττες. Παράλληλα, αυτή ήταν και η πρώτη νίκη του Χοάν Πεναρόγια στον πάγκο των Σέρβων, οι οποίοι ανέβηκαν στο 7-16, ενώ από την άλλη, οι Βαυαροί υποχώρησαν στο 8-15.
Οι δύο ομάδες ξεκίνησαν νωθρά την αναμέτρηση, με αρκετά άστοχα σουτ. Χαρακτηριστικό είναι πως μετά από περίπου πέντε λεπτά αγώνα το σκορ ήταν ακόμη στο 5-6. Κάπου εκεί οι φιλοξενούμενοι βρήκαν ρυθμό και γρήγορα ανέβασαν τη διαφορά στο +13 (5-18) με τον Καλάθη, ενώ το σκορ περιόδου ήταν 7-18.
Στο δεύτερο 10λεπτο «ξύπνησαν» οι Βαυαροί και σταδιακά μείωσαν τη διαφορά, με την Παρτιζάν πλέον να μην βρίσκει τόσες λύσεις επιθετικά. Αρχικά ο Τζέσαπ με τρίποντο μείωσε σε 15-21 και μέχρι το τέλος της περιόδου οι Γερμανοί έφεραν το ματς στο καλάθι (32-34).
Το ίδιο σκηνικό συνεχίστηκε και στην 3η περίοδο, με την ομάδα του Σβέτισβλαβ Πέσιτς να ισοφαρίζει σε 41-41 και τελικά να περνά και μπροστά με τον ΜακΚόρμακ (43-41). Οι Σέρβοι βρήκαν τις απαντήσεις και πέρασαν ξανά μπροστά στο σκορ (46-48) και τελικά το δεκάλεπτο έληξε με τις δύο ομάδες ισόπαλες (50-50).
Με την αρχή του τελευταίου δεκάλεπτου, η Μπάγερν πέρασε ξανά μπροστά (54-50), ωστόσο ο Πέιν με τον Καλάθη έβαλαν εκ νέου σε θέση οδηγού την ομάδα του Βελιγραδίου (54-55) και έβαλαν... φωτιά στο ματς. Οι γηπεδούχοι δεν κατάφεραν ποτέ να βρουν απαντήσεις, η Παρτιζάν ανέβασε τη διαφορά (58-63) και τελικά έφτασε στη νίκη με σκορ 63-67.
