He came out of nowhere and made a splash! Kenneth Fareed impressed in his first appearances with Panathinaikos and on Tuesday afternoon (2/12) he was named the EuroLeague MVP for November.

The 36-year-old American center scored 13.5 points (65% from two-point range, 64% from the field), 7.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2 blocks and 19.8 points per 26:11 rating system, with magnificent performances against Paris, Real Madrid, Dubai BC and Partizan.

“I didn’t know what to expect, but suddenly I found myself playing and not just playing, but being in the starting five and helping significantly. The chemistry was there right away, from day one. I met Ergin Ataman on the court, before the first practice, I said to him “I finally meet you” and he replied that he felt the energy. Farid became the 8th Panathinaikos player to win this award after Jaka Lakovic, Mike Batiste, Ramunas Siskauskas, Dimitris Diamantidis, Chris Singleton, Nick Calathes and Kendrick Nunn.

The MVP of October was Sylvain Francisco of Zalgiris Kaunas.

Εκπληκτικό επίτευγμα από τον Κένεθ Φαρίντ, αναδείχθηκε MVP για τον Νοέμβριο στη EuroLeague.

Ήρθε από το πουθενά και έκανε κρότο! Ο Κένεθ Φαρίντ ενθουσίασε στις πρώτες του εμφανίσεις με την φανέλα του Παναθηναϊκού και το απόγευμα της Τρίτης (2/12) αναδείχθηκε MVP της EuroLeague για τον Νοέμβριο.

Ο 36χρονος Αμερικανός σέντερ μέτρησε 13.5 πόντους (65% στο δίποντο, 64% στις βολές), 7.5 ριμπάουντ, 1.2 ασίστ, 2 μπλοκ και 19.8 μονάδες στο σύστημα αξιολόγησης ανά 26:11, με μεγαλειώδης εμφανίσεις απέναντι σε Παρί, Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης, Dubai BC και Παρτίζαν.

“Δεν ήξερα τι να περιμένω, όμως ξαφνικά βρέθηκα να παίζω και όχι απλά να παίζω, αλλά να είμαι και στην αρχική πεντάδα και να βοηθώ σημαντικά. Η χημεία ήταν αμέσως εκεί, από την πρώτη ημέρα. Συνάντησα τον Εργκίν Αταμάν στο παρκέ, πριν από την πρώτη προπόνηση, του είπα “επιτέλους σε γνωρίζω” και μου απάντησε ότι ένιωσε την ενέργεια. Ήταν σαν να βρηισκόμουν στην ομάδα για χρόνια” ήταν η ατάκα του Αμερικανού ψηλού στη EuroLeague.

Ο Φαρίντ έγινε ο 8ος παίκτης του Παναθηναϊκού που κατέκτησε αυτό το βραβείο μετά από τους Γιάκα Λάκοβιτς, Μάικ Μπατίστ, Ραμούνας Σισκάουσκας, Δημήτρη Διαμαντίδη, Κρις Σίνγκλετον, Νικ Καλάθη και Κέντρικ Ναν.

MVP του Οκτωβρίου είχε αναδειχθεί ο Σιλβέν Φρανσίσκο της Ζάλγκιρις Κάουνας.
