Η ομάδα μπάσκετ Γυναικών του Παναθηναϊκού ενισχύθηκε με την προσθήκη της 31χρονης γκαρντ Φιγιόντα Φιτζέραλντ, η οποία θα φορέσει ξανά τα πράσινα μετά το πέρασμά της από το «τριφύλλι» το 2022.

Η Φιγιόντα Φιτζέραλντ θα συνεχίσει την καριέρα της στην ομάδα μπάσκετ Γυναικών του Παναθηναϊκού που επισημοποίησε την έναρξη της συνεργασίας με την Αμερικανίδα γκαρντ.

Η Φιτζέραλντ αγωνιζόταν μέχρι πρότινος στο Μεξικό με την Panteras και πλέον θα ενισχύσει την ομάδα της Σελέν Ερντέμ στις υποχρεώσεις της στην Α1 Γυναικών, στο Κύπελλο Ελλάδας και στο EuroCup Women.

«Ο Παναθηναϊκός Αθλητικός Όμιλος ανακοινώνει την έναρξη της συνεργασίας του με την Φιγιόντα Φιτζέραλντ στο γυναικείο μπάσκετ, για την αγωνιστική σεζόν 2025-2026.

Σε μια σπουδαία μεταγραφή προχώρησε ο Παναθηναϊκός καθώς επέστρεψε και πάλι στα "πράσινα" η 31χρονη σούτινγκ γκαρντ από τη Βιρτζίνια των ΗΠΑ.

Αναμφίβολα πρόκειται για μια σημαντική προσθήκη που ανεβάζει την ποιότητα στην ομάδα που χτίζει η Σελέν Ερντέμ για τη νέα χρονιά και ενισχύει σημαντικά στη θέση 1-2.

Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι στο προηγούμενο πέρασμα της από τον Παναθηναϊκό είχε 15.6 μ.ο. πόντων και 3 ασίστ σε συνολικά 16 αγώνες.

Σε δήλωση της στο pao1908.com η Φιτζέραλντ είπε: "Είμαι πολύ χαρούμενη που επιστρέφω στον Παναθηναϊκό. Θα δουλέψουμε πάρα πολύ προκειμένου να πετύχουμε τους στόχους μας και το μυαλό μας είναι στη δουλειά που πρέπει να κάνουμε".
