Aris: Announced Rawle Alkins until the end of the season

Aris strengthened with the addition of Rawle Atkins, announcing the agreement with the 27-year-old American guard until the end of the season.

Rawl Atkins is officially a player of Aris who formalized the agreement with the 27-year-old guard for the 2024/25 season.

Alkins was selected in favor of adding a player with more commitment to the defense. The three-pointer is one of the elements that characterize his offensive game and in the last two years he shot 33.8% in the G League and Israel, but he also loves to penetrate using his volume.

He will now be put at the disposal of Yiannis Kastritis for Aris who make their debut in the Stoiximan GBL against AEK at Nick Galis Hall (5/10, 17:00).

KAE ARIS Midea announces the acquisition of Rawle Prince Alkins, who signed a contract with our team for the 2024-25 season.

Rawle Alkins was born on October 29, 1997 and with a height of 1.96m. competes in positions 2-3-4.

The new ARIS player Midea attended the high school, Word of God Christian Academy and in 2016 was included in the TOP 20 athletes who would go to college. ESPN ranked him as the fifth best small forward of this "bunch" of players, behind Josh Jackson, Jayson Tatum, Miles Bridges, Jonathan Isaac.

Alkins chose Arizona College and averaged 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the 2016-17 season. The following year he averaged 13.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.3 steals, and after just two years in college, he decided to enter the draft, where he ultimately went undrafted.

However, in 2018-19 he signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls, appearing in 10 games, with 3.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He primarily played for the Bulls' G-League affiliate, Windy City Bulls, averaging 11.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

In 2020 he made his first transatlantic trip, signing for Portuguese side Porto. There he scored 16 points, 3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1 steal per game. In December of the same year, he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans and then with their affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron.

In 2021 he signed with the Toronto Raptors affiliate Raptors 905 and in 2021 he returned to Europe, on behalf of Giessen. After just two games, averaging 15 points and 3 rebounds, he "moved" to Ludwigsburg, where he averaged 8.9 points and 2.3 rebounds.

In 2022 he returned to the US and signed with the Utah Jazz affiliate Salt Lake City Stars and in 2023 he agreed with Ironi Ness Ziona from Israel. There he scored 15.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, with 36.2% from three-point range. He then played for Leones De Ponce in Puerto Rico, averaging 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists.

Ο Άρης ενισχύθηκε με την προσθήκη του Ρόουλ Άτκινς, ανακοινώνοντας τη συμφωνία με τον 27χρονο Αμερικανό γκαρντ ως το τέλος της σεζόν.

Ο Ρόουλ Άτκινς αποτελεί και επισήμως παίκτη του Άρη που επισημοποίησε τη συμφωνία με τον 27χρονο γκαρντ για την αγωνιστική περίοδο 2024/25.

Ο Άλκινς επιλέχθηκε προς όφελος της προσθήκης ενός παίκτη με μεγαλύτερη αφοσίωση στην άμυνα. Το τρίποντο είναι από τα στοιχεία που χαρακτηρίζουν το επιθετικό παιχνίδι του και στην τελευταία διετία σούταρε με 33.8% σε G League και Ισραήλ, λατρεύει όμως και τη διείσδυση χρησιμοποιώντας τον όγκο του.

Πλέον θα τεθεί στη διάθεση του Γιάννη Καστρίτη για τον Άρη που κάνει πρεμιέρα στη Stoiximan GBL κόντρα στην ΑΕΚ στο Nick Galis Hall (5/10, 17:00).

Ο Alkins επέλεξε το κολέγιο της Arizona και τη σεζόν 2016-17 μέτρησε 10.9 πόντους, 4.9 ριμπάουντ και 2.1 ασίστ. Την επόμενη χρονιά είχε 13.1 πόντους, 4.8 ριμπάουντ, 2.5 ασίστ και 1.3 κλεψίματα και μετά από μόλις δύο χρόνια στο κολέγιο, αποφάσισε να δηλώσει συμμετοχή στο ντραφτ, όπου τελικά δεν επιλέχθηκε.

Ωστόσο, το 2018-19 υπέγραψε συμβόλαιο με τους Chicago Bulls, δίνοντας το «παρών» σε 10 αγώνες, με 3.7 πόντους, 2.6 ριμπάουντ και 1.3 ασίστ. Κατά βάση αγωνίστηκε στη θυγατρική των Bulls στην G-League, Windy City Bulls, με 11.3 πόντους, 5.5 ριμπάουντ και 2.9 ασίστ.

Το 2020 έκανε το πρώτο υπερατλαντικό ταξίδι του, υπογράφοντας στην πορτογαλική Porto. Εκεί μέτρησε 16 πόντους, 3 ριμπάουντ, 2.5 ασίστ και 1 κλέψιμο ανά αγώνα. Τον Δεκέμβριο του ίδιου έτους υπέγραψε στους New Orleans Pelicans και στη συνέχεια στη θυγατρική τους, Birmingham Squadron.
