Kidd is not ... being fired for the position of coach in the Blazers
Jason Kidd will not be the new head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, as he put himself out of contention for the position.
Terry Stots has left the Blazers' bench and the Oregon team is looking for a new coach. One of the names that came to the surface was that of Jason Kidd.
Damian Lillard even spoke flatteringly about the former head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, emphasizing that this is the coach he wants to have in his team.
But no deal will be made between the two sides. This is because Kidd decided not to claim the position, bringing new facts to the Blazers' coaching case.
Frank Vogel's direct partner on the Lakers bench told ESPN. "Portland is a first-class organization and it will have great candidates. "But I decided not to be one of them."

Ο Τζέισον Κιντ δεν θα είναι ο νέος head coach των Πόρτλαντ Τρέιλ Μπλέιζερς, καθώς έθεσε εαυτόν εκτός διεκδίκησης της θέσης.
Ο Τέρι Στοτς αποχώρησε από τον πάγκο των Μπλέιζερς και η ομάδα του Όρεγκον βρίσκεται σε αναζήτηση νέου προπονητή. Ένα από τα ονόματα που βγήκαν στην επιφάνεια ήταν αυτό του Τζέισον Κιντ.
Για τον πρώην head coach των Μπρούκλιν Νετς μάλιστα είχε μιλήσει με κολακευτικά λόγια και ο Ντάμιαν Λίλαρντ, τονίζοντας πως αυτός είναι ο προπονητής που θέλει να έχει στην ομάδα του.
Όμως deal ανάμεσα στις δύο πλευρές δεν θα γίνει. Κι αυτό γιατί ο Κιντ αποφάσισε να μην διεκδικήσει τη θέση, φέρνοντας νέα δεδομένα στην υπόθεση προπονητή στους Μπλέιζερς.
Ο άμεσος συνεργάτης του Φρανκ Βόγκελ στον πάγκο των Λέικερς ανέφερε στο ESPN. «Το Πόρτλαντ είναι ένας πρώτης τάξεως οργανισμός και θα έχει σπουδαίους υποψηφίους. Αλλά αποφάσισα να μην είμαι ένας από αυτούς».
