AEK did not have a creation for a half time, but the arrival of Petros Mandalos changed everything. With one assist and one goal, the leader of the Union came out ahead and AEK cleared Panaitolikos (0-2).

Petros Mantalos came from the bench at the beginning of the second half, raised the level of AEK and cleaned the ... laundry in Agrinio (0-2). With an assist and a goal, the leader of the Union came forward and gave the victory to his team that owes a lot and to Panagiotis Tsintotas who took the penalty of Matsolas with the score at 1-0!

An ideal premiere in the championship was the yellow and blacks, who had an excellent image in the second half and a bad image in the first. Now, everyone at AEK is turning their eyes to Thursday's knockout match against St. Gallen in Switzerland for the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League.

That's how they started

Makis Chavos led Panetolikos with a 3-5-2 formation. Knet was under the beams, with Liava, Karasalidis and Konstantopoulos in the trio of stoppers. Hind, Insua, Ansarifard made their debut, while Vasilantonopoulos was also used, with Mandalo remaining on the bench. The match

With the voices of the hosts for a penalty in the hand of Oliveira in the 6th minute, the game started, in a phase when the Portuguese made a move to pick it up and stick it to his body and with the referee showing "you are playing". The game was tough and with many duels, Hnid and Svarnas "yellowed" early, as did Karasalidis, with the former playing at the limits and having a mark on Mazourek in the 24th minute that brought new voices of the hosts for a second yellow.

AEK was playing with the stoppers on the axis, putting players on the field and pushing, trying to steal balls in the opponent's half. Vasilantonopoulos made several moves from the left and in an extra role, constantly underlapping Insua, while he was excellent in blocking, blocking the ball many times and with terrible runs. Livagia on the other hand was negative again, he could not play the role of organizer and ... he was lost, going left and right, while Ansarifard and Oliveira were trying to find each other, being at the same time supports for their teammates to touch the ball.

Panaitolikos on the other hand was well organized, had its lines close and did not allow the guests to threaten, while playing with reference point Matsolas who won almost all the duels he gave, constantly coming out first on the ball, winning fouls and giving breaths to his teammates. Somehow, the 0-0 of the first part was absolutely fair in a match without phase and with ... nothing remarkable!

Carrera saw that his team was harmless and ... he shouted that Mandalos should enter the match! Something he did, taking out Hind who went strong in every phase despite having a card and turned his system to 4-4-2. The arrival of Mandalos on the pitch drastically changed the image of AEK, which was transformed, became aggressive and starring its leader, constantly stepping on the area and creating dangers. In the 47th minute, Ansarifard failed to beat Knet, while a minute later, Livagia did not shoot early and overdid it with dribbles. In the 54th minute, Ansarifard could not find a home, after Konstantopoulos cut him and did not allow him to score. Three phases in almost ten minutes, all created by Mandalos with the last one having as ... highlight the race of 25 meters of the quality midfielder of the Union.

Mandalos' persistence in 67 ΄ and the corner he won, brought great profit for the previous Union. The Greek midfielder executed it, with Livagia defeating Mazurek in the air and with a header beating Knet for 1-0. Livagia ... appeared for the first time in the match where he should have, owing a lot to Mandalos.

Somewhere there, however, AEK seemed to let go of the gas and stepped back, something that almost paid off. Mazurek made an excellent vertical in the back of Paulinio that was forgotten and Dias bit the ball in front of Czigrinski who overturned him in the area, with Zachariadis giving the penalty correctly. A point from where Matsola failed to score after Tsintotas ... caught him and took him out to keep the 1-0. As the minutes passed, Panaitolikos made desperate efforts to equalize. Instead, he conceded his second goal and AEK locked the three-pointer shortly before the final with the player who transformed it: Petros Mandalos! After Oliveira failed to score from close range and the ball after the collisions ended up in the Greek midfield, he made an impressive, closed, dribbling and ideally ended the phase for 2-0!

Η ΑΕΚ δεν είχε δημιουργία για ένα ημίχρονο, αλλά η έλευση του Πέτρου Μάνταλου τα άλλαξε όλα. Με μία ασίστ και ένα γκολ, ο αρχηγός της Ένωσης βγήκε μπροστά και η ΑΕΚ καθάρισε τον Παναιτωλικό (0-2).

Αρχηγού... παρόντος!

Ο Πέτρος Μάνταλος ήρθε από τον πάγκο στο ξεκίνημα του δευτέρου ημιχρόνου, ανέβασε επίπεδο την ΑΕΚ και καθάρισε την... μπουγάδα στο Αγρίνιο (0-2). Με μία ασίστ και ένα γκολ, ο αρχηγός της Ένωσης βγήκε μπροστά και χάρισε τη νίκη στην ομάδα του που οφείλει πολλά και στον Παναγιώτη Τσιντώτα που έβγαλε το πέναλτι του Ματσόλα με το σκορ στο 1-0!

Ιδανική πρεμιέρα στο πρωτάθλημα οι κιτρινόμαυροι, που είχαν εξαιρετική εικόνα στο δεύτερο μέρος και κακή στο πρώτο. Πλέον, άπαντες στην ΑΕΚ στρέφουν το βλέμμα τους στο νοκ-άουτ ματς της Πέμπτης με την Σεντ Γκάλεν στην Ελβετία για τον 3ο προκριματικό γύρο του Europa League.

Ντεμπούτο για Χνιντ, Ινσούα, Ανσαριφάρντ, με τους δύο πρώτους να κινούνται σε ρηχά νερά και τον τελευταίο να είναι κινητικός και η μόνη απειλή της ΑΕΚ επιθετικά, αφού ο Ολιβέιρα ήταν ξανά κακός και ανέβηκε μόνο στο τελευταίο μισάωρο. Κακό ματς για μία ώρα και από τον Λιβάγια που... εμφανίστηκε στο 68ο λεπτό και σκόραρε με κεφαλιά, μετά την ασίστ του Μάνταλου!

Εξαιρετικός ο Βασιλαντωνόπουλος που πήρε την ευκαιρία του και παρότι αγωνίστηκε σε... πρωτόγνωρη θέση, χαφ, τα πήγε περίφημα με τρομερά τρεξίματα, πολλές αναχαιτήσεις της μπάλας και ένα πάρα πολύ καλό παιχνίδι συνολικά, όντας από τους διακριθέντες της Ένωσης.

Έτσι ξεκίνησαν

Με διάταξη 3-5-2 παρέταξε τον Παναιτωλικό ο Μάκης Χάβος. Ο Κνετ ήταν κάτω από τα δοκάρια, με τους Λιάβα, Καρασαλίδη και Κωνσταντόπουλο στην τριάδα των στόπερ. Τζανακάκης και Βάντερσον τα δύο μπακ-χαφ, με τους Τσιγγάρα, Ντάλσιο και Μάζουρεκ στον άξονα και τον τελευταίο να έχει πιο οργανωτικό ρόλο. Ντίας και Ματσόλα ήταν το δίδυμο στην κορυφή της επίθεσης.

Παρόμοια διάταξη για την ΑΕΚ από τον Μάσιμο Καρέρα, ουσιαστικά με 3-4-1-2, έχοντας αρκετές εκπλήξεις στην ενδεκάδα. Χνιντ, Ινσούα, Ανσαριφάρντ έκαναν ντεμπούτο, ενώ χρησιμοποιήθηκε και ο Βασιλαντωνόπουλος, με τον Μάνταλο να μένει στον πάγκο. Ο Τσιντώτας στην υπεράσπιση της εστίας, με τους Χνιντ, Σβάρνα, Τσιγκρίνσκι στην τριπλέτα των στόπερ. Παουλίνιο-Ινσούα τα δύο μπακ-χαφ, με τους Σιμόες, Βασιλαντωνόπουλο στον άξονα. Μπροστά τους σε ρόλο οργανωτή ο Λιβάγια, με τους Ανσαριφάρντ, Ολιβέιρα να αποτελούν το δίδυμο των επιθετικών

Το ματς

Με φωνές των γηπεδούχων για πέναλτι σε χέρι του Ολιβέιρα στο 6ο λεπτό ξεκίνησε το παιχνίδι, σε μια φάση που ο Πορτογάλος έκανε κίνηση να το μαζέψει και να το κολλήσει στο σώμα του και με τον διαιτητή να δείχνει «παίζετε». Το παιχνίδι ήταν σκληρό και με πολλές μονομαχίες, ο Χνιντ και ο Σβάρνας «κιτρινίστηκαν» νωρίς, όπως και ο Καρασαλίδης, με τον πρώτο να παίζει στα όρια και να έχει ένα μαρκάρισμα πάνω στον Μάζουρεκ στο 24' που έφερε νέες φωνές των γηπεδούχων για δεύτερη κίτρινη.

Η ΑΕΚ έπαιζε με τα στόπερ στον άξονα, ανέβαζε παίκτες στο γήπεδο και πίεζε, προσπαθώντας να κλέψει μπάλες στο αντίπαλο μισό. Ο Βασιλαντωνόπουλος έκανε αρκετές κινήσεις από τα αριστερά και σε ρόλο εξτρέ, κάνοντας διαρκώς underlap στον Ινσούα, ενώ ανασταλτικά ήταν εξαιρετικός αναχαιτίζοντας πολλές φορές την μπάλα και με τρομερά τρεξίματα. Ο Λιβάγια από την άλλη ήταν ξανά αρνητικός, δεν μπορούσε σε ρόλο οργανωτή και... χανόταν, πηγαίνοντας αριστερά και δεξιά, ενώ Ανσαριφάρντ και Ολιβέιρα προσπαθούσαν να βρεθούν, αποτελώντας παράλληλα στηρίγματα για τους συμπαίκτες τους ώστε να τους ακουμπάνε την μπάλα.

Ο Παναιτωλικός από την άλλη ήταν καλά οργανωμένος, είχε κοντά τις γραμμές του και δεν επέτρεπε στους φιλοξενούμενους να απειλήσουν, ενώ έπαιζε με φορ - σημείο αναφοράς τον Ματσόλα που κέρδισε σχεδόν όλες τις μονομαχίες που έδωσε, βγαίνοντας διαρκώς πρώτος στην μπάλα, κερδίζοντας φάουλ και δίνοντας ανάσες στους συμπαίκτες του. Κάπως έτσι, το 0-0 του πρώτου μέρους ήταν απολύτως δίκαιο σε ένα ματς χωρίς φάση και με... τίποτα το αξιοσημείωτο!

Ο Καρέρα είδε πως η ομάδα του ήταν ακίνδυνο και... φώναζε πως πρέπει να μπει στο ματς ο Μάνταλος! Κάτι που έκανε, βγάζοντας τον Χνιντ ο οποίος πήγαινε δυνατά σε κάθε φάση παρότι είχε κάρτα και γύρισε το σύστημά του σε 4-4-2. Η έλευση του Μάνταλου στον αγωνιστικό χώρο άλλαξε άρδην την εικόνα της ΑΕΚ, που μεταμορφώθηκε, έγινε επιθετική και με πρωταγωνιστή τον αρχηγό της, πατούσε διαρκώς περιοχή και δημιουργούσε κινδύνους. Στο 47' ο Ανσαριφάρντ δεν κατάφερε να νικήσει τον Κνετ, ενώ ένα λεπτό μετά ο Λιβάγια δεν σούταρε νωρίς και το παράκανε με τις ντρίμπλες. Στο 54' ο Ανσαριφάρντ δεν κατάφερε να βρει εστία, αφού ο Κωνσταντόπουλος τον έκοψε και δεν του επέτρεψε να σκοράρει. Τρεις φάσεις σε ένα δεκάλεπτο σχεδόν, όλες δημιουργήθηκαν από τον Μάνταλο με την τελευταία να έχει και ως... highlight την κούρσα 25 μέτρων του ποιοτικού μεσοεπιθετικού της Ένωσης.

Η επιμονή του Μάνταλου στο 67΄ και το κόρνερ που κέρδισε, απέφερε μεγάλο κέρδος για την Ένωση που προηγήθηκε. Ο Έλληνας χαφ το εκτέλεσε, με τον Λιβάγια να νικάει στον αέρα τον Μάζουρεκ και με κεφαλιά να νικάει τον Κνετ για το 1-0. Ο Λιβάγια... εμφανίστηκε για πρώτη φορά στο ματς εκεί που έπρεπε, οφείλοντας αρκετά στον Μάνταλο.

Κάπου εκεί, όμως, η ΑΕΚ έδειχνε να αφήνει το πόδι από το γκάζι και οπισθοχώρησε, κάτι που παραλίγο να πληρώσει. Ο Μάζουρεκ έκανε εξαιρετική κάθετη στην πλάτη του Παουλίνιο που ξεχάστηκε και ο Ντίας τσίμπησε την μπάλα προ του Τσιγκρίνσκι που τον ανέτρεψε μέσα στην περιοχή, με τον Ζαχαριάδη να δίνει σωστά το πέναλτι. Σημείο απ΄όπου ο Ματσόλα δεν κατάφερε να σκοράρει αφού ο Τσιντώτας τον... ψάρωσε και το έβγαλε για να κρατήσει το 1-0. Τα λεπτά περνούσαν, ο Παναιτωλικός έκανε τις απέλπιδες προσπάθειες για να ισοφαρίσει. Αντ'αυτού, δέχτηκε και δεύτερο τέρμα του και η ΑΕΚ κλείδωσε το τρίποντο λίγο πριν το φινάλε με τον παίκτη που την μεταμόρφωσε: τον Πέτρο Μάνταλο! Αφού ο Ολιβέιρα δεν κατάφερε να σκοράρει από κοντά και η μπάλα μετά τις καραμπόλες κατέληξε στον Έλληνα χαφ, αυτός έκανε μία εντυπωσιακή, κλειστή, ντρίμπλα και τελείωσε ιδανικά την φάση για το 2-0!
