Raphael Nadal ganó Roland Garros este año por undécima vez en su carrera y ha estado en el puesto número uno del mundo en los últimos meses. Fue uno de los protagonistas de los premios Rey Felipe IV de este año, ya que ganó uno de los atletas más importantes del año.

Ο Ραφαέλ Ναδάλ κατέκτησε φέτος το Roland Garros για 11η φορά στην καριέρα του και τους τελευταίους μήνες βρίσκεται στο Νο1 της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης στο τένις. Ήταν από τους πρωταγωνιστές στα φετινά βραβεία King Felipe IV, καθώς κέρδισε ένα από τα σημαντικότερα, αυτό του κορυφαίου αθλητή της χρονιάς.


Στο πρόσφατο US Open έφτασε ως τα ημιτελικά, αλλά στο φινάλε του δεύτερου σετ με τον Χουάν Μαρτίν Ντελ Πότρο εγκατέλειψε εξαιτίας της τενοντίτιδας στο δεξί του γόνατο. Ο "Rafa Power" ετοιμάζεται να επιστρέψει στη δράση τον Οκτώβριο, ξεκινώντας το Asian Swing από το Πεκίνο και το China Open (1-7 Oκτωβρίου).
