Ο Ολυμπιακός νίκησε την ιταλική Κασάνο Μανιάγκο με 25-20 στην Ηλιούπολη, στον πρώτο αγώνα του 3ου γύρου στο EHF European Cup.

O Ολυμπιακός έκανε το πρώτο βήμα για την πρόκριση στη φάση των «16» στο EHF European Cup, οι «ερυθρόλευκοι» νίκησαν την ιταλική Κασάνο Μανιάγκο με 25-20 στο γυμναστήριο Ηλιούπολης και με αυτό το αβαντάζ θα αγωνιστεί το Σάββατο (22/11) στον επαναληπτικό στην ομώνυμη πόλη της Λομβαρδίας.

Με τον Σάββα Σάββα να πετυχαίνει οκτώ γκολ, ο Ολυμπικός νίκησε την πρωτοπόρο του ιταλικού πρωταθλήματος, αν και θα μπορούσε να έχει μεγαλύτερο αβαντάζ εν όψει του επαναληπτικού.

Με γκολ από τον Σλίσκοβιτς προηγήθηκε 23-14 στο 54', οι φιλοξενούμενοι μείωσαν σε 24-18 (58'), ο Πέσο έκανε το 25-19 (59:24), με τον Μάτσα να σκοράρει για το τελικό 25-20 στην εκπνοή του αγώνα.

Στο πρώτο ημίχρονο με τρία αναπάντητα γκολ, ο Ολυμπιακός δημιούργησε διαφορά έξι γκολ στο 23' (12-6) και την αύξησε στο 15-7 (29') και στο 2ο ημίχρονο συντήρησε διαφορές έξι με οκτώ γκολ.
