Karditsa won (82-78) against Ostend in the 4th matchday of the Basketball Champions League. It thus secured its historic participation in the Play-Ins of the Basketball Champions League, taking 3rd place in its group in its first participation in a European competition.

Nikos Papanikolopoulos' team showed character and determination, leaving behind its nervous start and turning the match into a celebration for its fans.

Although they entered the game without concentration, Karditsa reacted quickly, turned up the tempo and with Br. Jefferson and Diplaros as the protagonists, as well as strong defenses near the basket, the Greek team left no room for Ostend.

Η Καρδίτσα πανηγύρισε μια τεράστια επιτυχία, επικρατώντας της Οστάνδης. Εξασφάλισε έτσι την πρόκρισή της στα Play-In του Basketball Champions League και την 3η θέση του ομίλου.

Η Καρδίτσα πήρε τη νίκη (82-78) κόντρα στην Οστάνδη στην 4η αγωνιστική του Basketball Champions League. Εξασφάλισε έτσι την ιστορική συμμετοχή της στα Play-In του Basketball Champions League, παίρνοντας την 3η θέσης στον όμιλό της στην πρώτη της συμμετοχή σε ευρωπαϊκή διοργάνωση.

Η ομάδα του Νίκου Παπανικολόπουλου έδειξε χαρακτήρα και αποφασιστικότητα, αφήνοντας πίσω το νευρικό της ξεκίνημα και μετατρέποντας τον αγώνα σε γιορτή για τον κόσμο της.

Αν και μπήκε στο παιχνίδι χωρίς συγκέντρωση, η Καρδίτσα αντέδρασε γρήγορα, ανέβασε στροφές και με πρωταγωνιστές τους Μπρ.Τζέφερσον και τον Δίπλαρο, αλλά και δυνατές άμυνες κοντά στο καλάθι, η ελληνική ομάδα δεν άφησε περιθώρια στην Οστάνδη.

Οι Βέλγοι του Γεώργιου Δέδα, που έψαχναν την πρώτη τους νίκη στο φετινό BCL, πάλεψαν για τρία δεκάλεπτα, όμως δεν κατάφεραν να ανακόψουν τον ενθουσιασμό και την ενέργεια των γηπεδούχων και με αυτή την ήττα, και παρά τις καλές εμφανίσεις των Γιακόβ και Εστράντα με 13 πόντους και τον Μπρατάνοβιτς με 17, έμειναν στο 0-4 και αποχαιρετούν ουσιαστικά τη διοργάνωση.

Αντίθετα, η Καρδίτσα ανέβασε το ρεκόρ της στο 2-2 και εξασφάλισε μαθηματικά την 3η θέση του ομίλου, που της δίνει το δικαίωμα να συνεχίσει τη φετινή ευρωπαϊκή της πορεία μέσα από τη διαδικασία των Play-In.
