Manchester City "ties" the 18-year-old Lewis until 2028

18-year-old Rico Lewis is the new big talent of Manchester City and will stay at the "Citizens" for many years.

Last November, Pep Guardiola gave the then 17-year-old English defender the opportunity to debut in the Champions League before he was even an adult, and he justified it.

Ο Πεπ Γκουαρδιόλα είχε δώσει τον περασμένο Νοέμβριο την ευκαιρία στον 17χρονο τότε Αγγλο αμυντικό να κάνει ντεμπούτο στο Champions League πριν καν ενηλικιωθεί κι αυτός τον δικαίωσε.

Ο Ισπανός προπονητής πιστεύει πολύ στον Λιούις και μάλιστα έχει εισηγηθεί στη διοίκηση την επέκταση του συμβολαίου του, το οποίο ολοκληρώνεται το καλοκαίρι του 2025.

Την επόμενη εβδομάδα αναμένεται να υπογράψει νέο συμβόλαιο έως το 2028, με σημαντική αύξηση στις αποδοχές του, και αναμένεται να είναι ο διάδοχος του Κάιλ Γουόκερ στο δεξί άκρο της άμυνας των «πολιτών».
