World champions Kyridou, BourbouThe gold medal in the 23-year world championship held in Sarasota, Florence, was won by Maria Kyridou and Christina Bourbou in the non-helm race.
The Greek crew confirmed in the best way the role of the favorite before the event. The Greek athletes finished in 7: 11.67 minutes and took the gold with comfort.
The second place was the South African crew with 7: 16.24 and Russia with 7: 18.35 in the third. It is worth noting that the Bourbouw, Kyridos crew last year won the gold Olympic medal at the Youth Olympic Games held in Buenos Aires

Το χρυσό μετάλλιο στο παγκόσμιο πρωτάθλημα κάτω των 23 ετών που διεξάγεται στην Σαρασότα της Φλίοριντα κατέκτησαν η Μαρία Κυρίδου και η Χριστίνα Μπούρμπου στη δίκωπο άνευ πηδαλιούχου.
Το ελληνικό πλήρωμα επιβεβαιώσε με τον καλύτερο τρόπο τον ρόλο του φαβορί που είχε πριν τη διοργάνωση. Οι ελληνίδες αθλήτριες τερμάτισαν σε 7:11.67 λεπτά και πήραν το χρυσό με άνεση.
Στη δεύτερη θέση βρέθηκε το πλήρωμα της Νοτίου Αφρικής με χρόνο 7:16.24 και στην τρίτη η Ρωσία με 7:18.35. Αξίζει να σημειώσουμε ότι το πλήρωμα Μπούρμπου, Κυρίδου την περσινή σεζόν κατέκτησε και το χρυσό Ολυμπιακό μετάλλιο στους Ολυμπιακούς αγώνες Νέων που διεξήχθησαν στο Μπουένος
