Pelicans kept Okafor

Resident New Orleans will remain the new year of Jalal Okafors.


Pelicans decided to make use of the option that existed to keep the player and retain their roster one of the most important players.

Okafor`s spent the last year taking advantage of Anthony Davis' injury and became one of the best players of the Pelican in the past season.

He played in 59 games, measuring 8.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists in average.

Pelicans are picking up Jahlil Okafor’s team option for the 2019-2020 season, league sources tell ESPN. The New Orleans staff is impressed by the way Okafor has reworked his body and the improvements he’s made on the defensive end of the floor.

Κάτοικος Νέας Ορλεάνης θα παραμείνει και την νέα χρονιά ο Τζαλίλ Όκαφορ.

Οι Πέλικανς αποφάσισαν να κάνουν χρήση της option που υπήρχε ώστε να κρατήσουν τον παίκτη και διατήρησαν στο ρόστερ τους έναν από τους πιο σημαντικούς τους παίκτες.

Ο Όκαφορ την χρονιά που πέρασε «εκμεταλλεύτηκε» στο έπακρο τον τραυματισμό του Άντονι Ντέβις και εξελίχθηκε σε έναν από τους καλύτερους παίκτες των «πελεκάνων» την σεζόν που πέρασε.

Αγωνίστηκε σε 59 παιχνίδια, μετρώντας όρο 8,2 πόντους, 4,7 ριμπάουντ και 0,7 ασίστ κατά μέσο.
