Ο ομοσπονδιακός τεχνικός, Γιοακίμ Λεβ, προσανατολίζεται σε αλλαγές στο αρχικό σχήμα και σύμφωνα με την Bild εκτός αρχικού σχήματος θα μείνουν οι Εζίλ και Κεντίρα.
Στην θέση τους αναμένεται να παίξουν οι Γκόμεζ και Βέρνερ με τη Γερμανία να αλλάζει πιθανότατα και το σύστημα της αφού θα αγωνιστεί με δυο καθαρόαιμους επιθετικούς.
