The Italian qualified from the second semi-final of the Grand Slam without competing, after his opponent and compatriot, Matteo Arnaldi, withdrew due to severe flu.
Thus, Compoli will face Alexander Zverev in the grand final on Sunday (7/5, 16:00), who was defeated in his own semi-final by Jakub Mensik with a 3-1 set.

Ο Φλάβιο Κομπόλι θα είναι ο αντίπαλος του Αλεξάντερ Σβέρεφ στον τελικό του φετινού Roland Garros, αφού ο Ματέο Αρνάλντι αποσύρθηκε από τον δεύτερο ημιτελικό λόγω βαριάς ίωσης.
Ο Ιταλός πήρε την πρόκριση από τον δεύτερο ημιτελικό του Grand Slam χωρίς να αγωνιστεί, αφού ο αντίπαλος και συμπατριώτης του, Ματέο Αρνάλντι, αποσύρθηκε λόγω βαριάς ίωσης.
Έτσι, ο Κομπόλι θα τεθεί αντιμέτωπος στον μεγάλο τελικό της Κυριακής (7/5, 16:00) με τον Αλεξάντερ Σβέρεφ, ο οποίος στον δικό του ημιτελικό επιβλήθηκε με 3-1 σετ του Γιάκουμπ Μένσικ.
